Chapter 2547: Ancestor Domain (III)
Cain’s eyes narrowed as he found himself once again trapped within the Ancestor Domain of the Dark Blood King. This time, however, the power surrounding him felt even greater.
Absolute darkness stretched endlessly in every direction, swallowing all traces of light. There was no sound, no sensation, no reference point to anchor himself. Even the concepts of up and down had vanished, leaving him suspended in a seamless void that distorted perception itself.
Yet while the Ancestor Domain had grown stronger, so too had Cain.
His eyes glowed with golden and scarlet light as he pushed the Power of Chaos and the Flow to their limits, attempting to perceive not just his surroundings, but the very principles that shaped this domain. Slowly, fragments of understanding began to form.
Suddenly, his gaze sharpened. He raised his arm just in time to block a sword aimed at his neck. The weapon carried tremendous force, yet it failed to pierce his defenses. Although the domain nullified his senses, the Flow and the Power of Chaos allowed him to perceive threats on a higher level, beyond conventional awareness.
In the very next instant, the Scarlet King countered. His fist struck the attacker with overwhelming power, and he felt bones shatter beneath the impact. The blow crushed the chest completely, destroying organs and ending the opponent’s life in a single motion.
A faint frown appeared on Cain’s face.
Even without seeing his enemy, he could tell from the fragility of the body that the attacker had only been an Early Alpha Omega Overgod.
"Cannon fodder," he muttered coldly.
Understanding dawned immediately. The Dark Blood King had not engulfed the other Royal Blutlinie by accident. He had dragged them into the domain deliberately, using them to increase his chances of victory.
While the domain suppressed Cain’s senses, it did not hinder the others in the same way. They could still perceive him, making them effective tools in this environment.
Of course, many of those Alpha Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie understood that attacking Cain was tantamount to suicide. Their attacks lacked the strength to truly harm a Fourth Realm Body, and the only thing they succeeded in was making the battle drag on.
Yet doing nothing would guarantee their deaths as the Dark Blood King would not spare them. Driven by desperation, rage, and fear, they charged forward, betting everything on the slim chance of survival.
Attacks came from all directions.
Cain could not see them directly, but the Flow and the Power of Chaos revealed the precise moments when each strike would land. That was enough.
He moved like a storm.
With his right hand, he caught a blade aimed at his forehead. With his left, he deflected a hammer strike. At the same time, he lunged forward and drove his head into another attacker, shattering the man’s skull instantly. A dagger struck his back moments later, but it failed to penetrate the Sacred Armor. Before the attacker could retreat, Cain’s Chaos Wings lashed out, piercing through his body and leaving it riddled with holes.
Without pause, Cain tightened his grip on the sword and hammer he had caught, then unleashed a kick that sent two more Royal Blutlinie flying through the void, their bones broken.
The assaults did not stop.
Wave after wave of attackers surged toward him, and Cain met them all with brutal efficiency. He blocked, countered, and struck without hesitation, crushing bones, shattering skulls, and tearing through bodies with overwhelming force.
Yet something felt wrong.
Neither General Faust, General Averus, nor the Heartcream King or Evernight Queen had joined the battle. They remained hidden, sending others to die in their place. At first glance, it seemed illogical. If they attacked together, they could exert far greater pressure on Cain.
Then the truth became clear.
A creeping exhaustion began to spread through his body.
With the Sacred Armor and the Fourth Realm Asura Form, Cain’s physical capabilities matched those of a Fourth Realm life form. Under normal circumstances, he could fight for hours, even days, without faltering. However, Emptiness Unbound did more than distort the environment—it drained him.
The power of emptiness seeped into every corner of his existence, eroding his strength, weakening his body, and wearing down his soul.
The effect intensified with every passing moment.
Eventually, the drain reached a point where even Cain could not ignore it. A Royal Blutlinie seized the opportunity and struck his helmet with a massive mace. The armor held, but the force disrupted his balance, creating a fleeting opening.
That was all the hidden elites needed.
Like sharks sensing blood, the two generals and two kings finally made their move.
A kick moving faster than light slammed into Cain’s ribs, sending him flying. Before he could recover, a massive surge of water-like energy crashed into him, suffocating and crushing him with immense pressure. Two more devastating blows followed, striking his back and hurling him deeper into the void.
For the first time, the attackers felt hope.
The eyes of the generals and kings glowed with excitement, their hearts filled with exhilaration. To kill the Scarlet King—the man who had crushed the Eighth Realm—would be a feat that echoed across the universe for eons.
Their killing intent surged, their attacks growing even more relentless.
Watching from afar, the Dark Blood King trembled with anticipation.
His heart pounded violently as he witnessed the unfolding scene.
"I am going to win... I will claim the Sacred Treasure..."
He extended his hand, gathering the full power of Emptiness Unbound. The might of the entire domain converged upon him, amplifying his strength to its peak.
"I will become the Fifth Sacred King of Chaos and Order!"
With a roar, he launched himself forward, moving like a hunter closing in on wounded prey. In his eyes, Cain was already defeated. All that remained was the final blow.
Yet at that very moment—just as the full might of the Ninth Realm converged upon him—Cain’s Ancestor Eye blazed with radiant light.
His hands formed a seal.
"Ancestor Domain."
