The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2665: The Golden Current

Chapter 2665: The Golden Current

The laughter of the Red King grew louder and louder, echoing across the dimension like thunder powerful enough to make emptiness itself tremble. Yet it did not last more than a few seconds before fading into silence, leaving the masked figure staring at the place where Cain had stood moments earlier.

"Good. Very good. He is moving in the right direction."

As those words left his mouth, a flash of sharpness crossed his crimson eyes.

"The presence of the Samsara Lord, on the other hand, came as a surprise. His Samsara Arsenals seem to have made their way into this realm. I wonder if he knows."

The Red King considered the matter for a few seconds, his gaze becoming deeper and more distant as countless possibilities unfolded within his mind.

"That man is annoying but predictable. However, the rabid dog by his side attacks first and thinks later, so that could become a problem."

His eyes shifted from one side to the other as more and more thoughts crossed through them. Countless paths and possibilities appeared within his mind, each one calculated, discarded, or stored away for future use. Finally, his gaze settled, sharpening with focus and control as he extended his hand.

Slowly, embers began to gather above his palm.

Yet they were not crimson.

They were scarlet.

And within those scarlet embers burned the Power of Chaos!

The light in the Red King’s eyes grew sharper and sharper as excitement and thrill rose within them, emotions that seemed almost alien coming from such an ancient existence.

"How long has it been since something made my heart beat this fast? Epochs? Perhaps even longer."

The Red King glanced into the distance, and the sharpness in his eyes intensified.

"Keep growing, boy. Shatter, consume, devour, and evolve until the entire cradle burns beneath your might."

With those words, the Red King clenched his fist and shattered the scarlet embers. Then his eyes slowly closed as his figure began to unravel, fading into the emptiness until nothing remained.

Cain had no idea what had happened after he left, nor did he hear the words spoken by the Red King.

The moment he was thrown out of the Sacred Dimension, raging pain surged through his mind and consciousness with such intensity that he could not remain in the sky. His body fell toward the ground, yet Cain barely registered the descent. All his focus was consumed by the overwhelming agony tearing through his soul.

He clenched his teeth and grabbed his head as it felt as though his skull would explode at any moment.

Fortunately for the Scarlet King, the Demon King had been waiting for him.

The old man detected Cain’s presence the instant he reappeared and arrived at his side in less than a second. His eyes widened slightly as he saw the agony twisting Cain’s face, and for a brief moment, killing intent flashed within them. The Demon King feared that something from the Sacred Dimension might have attempted possession or soul corruption.

However, after carefully examining Cain, he sensed the clarity still present in the Scarlet King’s eyes and the purity of his rapidly expanding soul. Only then did he understand that the process was not harmful, even if it was clearly excruciating.

There was little the Demon King could do to help Cain endure the inheritance, so he simply remained by his side, his eyes sharp and his aura restrained but ready to erupt at any moment. If anyone dared approach during this critical period, they would face his full wrath.

Waves of knowledge and insight continued to expand within Cain’s mind as the Red King’s inheritance engraved itself into his soul. Every principle carried unimaginable depth, and every fragment of understanding seemed capable of reshaping his perception of the Flow. It was not merely knowledge. It was a map, a path, and a key to a higher state of existence.

Several days passed before focus finally returned to Cain’s eyes.

His breathing gradually stabilized, and although his body remained exhausted, he slowly managed to rise from the ground. He saw the Demon King standing beside him and gave the old man a small nod, but he did not speak. There was no time to waste. The ocean of information that had just entered his soul needed to be digested as soon as possible.

Cain closed his eyes once more and sank into meditation.

The inheritance contained a deep and comprehensive understanding of the Flow, including every one of its basic principles. Yet the more Cain studied it, the more solemn his expression became. He had thought that after revisiting the Sacred Dimension and strengthening his foundation, he had reached an extraordinary level in the basic principles of the Flow.

Now he realized how far he still was from the true apex.

What he had considered mastery was merely a powerful application of their surface layers. The true essence of those principles stretched far beyond his current reach.

However, Cain did not allow that realization to discourage him.

Instead, his focus moved toward the true core of the inheritance.

This was the knowledge that could help him transcend his current limitations and obtain a level of granular control over the Flow similar to that of his brother, even without possessing the Red King Eyes.

"Become the Golden Current."

Cain uttered those words with a solemn expression.

The core of the inheritance was the ability to forge an artificial Endless River inside one’s own body, a divine phenomenon that would take the name of the Golden Current. It was not a simple technique, nor was it an ordinary cultivation art. It was a complete transformation of the body, soul, will, and energy system, allowing the cultivator to internalize a version of the Flow and use it as the foundation for movement, perception, power, and transcendence.

"It has several levels, but even the most basic stage would grant me a domain over the Flow that surpasses my current mastery by leagues."

Cain’s eyes sharpened, yet a complicated expression soon appeared on his face.

He had obtained what he needed.

The key to moving his Apex Hybrid Body into the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe was now within his grasp. Not only that, but if he could master the Golden Current to a high enough level, there was even a chance he could one day move his Royal Blutlinie Body out of Paradise as well.

Unfortunately, the path forward would not be simple.

Forging the Golden Current would be extremely difficult, and it would not be fast.

That was troubling, because time was the one thing Cain lacked most.

"Although I could return to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and train there, progress would be much slower. This body’s talent for the Flow is higher, and the purity of its Crimson Bloodline is also superior."

Cain frowned for several seconds before finally releasing a long sigh.

It seemed he would not be able to return as quickly as he wanted.

His time in the Crimson World would have to continue for a while longer.
