Chapter 2692: One final move (II)
"ASURA FORM!"
Cain’s roar echoed across the void like the bellow of a primordial cosmic beast, declaring his final move. It carried such overwhelming might that even distant black holes seemed to quiver beneath its resonance. Yet even that terrifying roar was nothing compared to what came next.
"THUMP!!!"
It was a single heartbeat.
Yet that heartbeat was heard across the entire Nine Empyrean Suns Universe!
Leonidas, Zarak, Raylanor, Magnus, and countless other warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance all felt it. They did not merely hear the sound with their ears; they felt it resonate within their very hearts, causing their pulses to accelerate as they instinctively turned toward the edge of the universe.
There, beyond the distant stars, a magnificent scarlet supernova had appeared.
It was so glorious and majestic that countless warriors found themselves momentarily lost in its radiance. The enormous crimson celestial body seemed like a sun capable of illuminating the entirety of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe through its sheer existence, transcending into a state that defied all their understanding.
It was a sight that every single warrior that called the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe home would remember until their final breath.
The heartbeat even reached the unconscious True Depravita of Hope, waking her up.
Meylin could not rise from the ground, her body still too exhausted and wounded to move, but she managed to turn her head toward the enormous hole in the Empyrean Wall. Her eyes reflected the scarlet supernova burning in the distance, and the smile on her face gradually widened.
She had never believed the battle would be easy.
Cain was fighting the Incarnation of the almighty Samsara Lord, an existence whose power had already surpassed everything she had previously considered possible. There was no guarantee that the Scarlet King would emerge victorious.
However, Meylin knew the man she loved.
As long as Cain still possessed the power to fight, every obstacle and every tribulation would merely become another stepping stone beneath his feet, allowing him to climb toward an even higher realm of might.
That was the kind of monster Cain Laurifer was.
And now, he had unleashed Asura Form, an ability that had accompanied him from even before the Flow.
"ARGHHHHHH!"
At the core of the scarlet supernova, the Scarlet King roared with every ounce of strength in his body.
His heart began beating faster than thought itself, faster than the laws of reality could react.
Although its sound seemed to echo across the universe as a single heartbeat, the truth was far more terrifying. That single beat represented tens of thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of heartbeats occurring every single second.
And with every beat, Cain’s heart drew an oceanic amount of energy from across the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe into his body.
The scarlet radiance erupting from his figure grew brighter and brighter, illuminating the surrounding void until Cain seemed less like a living being and more like the core of a newly born universe.
The strain was tremendous.
Cain felt as though his entire body could explode at any moment.
His muscles trembled violently, his organs screamed beneath the pressure, and his soul struggled to withstand the endless torrent of power pouring into his existence.
His roar continued for several more seconds before, finally, Cain managed to gain a semblance of control.
He clenched his teeth with all his strength, blood leaking from between them.
"What is this!?"
The question echoed inside his mind.
"This is nothing compared to what I experienced in Paradise!"
Cain had known that triggering Asura Form as a genuine Fourth Realm existence would be different.
But he had never imagined that the difference would be this immense.
Asura Form possessed levels that could commonly be quantified through Gears, but those measurements only represented its surface. At its very essence, the stronger the life form using Asura Form became, the greater the power it could unleash.
And triggering it as a Fourth Realm life form was something completely transcendent.
It was also potentially deadly.
The amount of energy entering Cain’s body was simply too great. His heart was absorbing the power of the entire universe at an incomprehensible speed, yet his body had no method of properly containing it or establishing a stable flow.
If he did not find a solution soon, the trump card he had expected to grant him victory would instead become his death sentence.
Countless ideas crossed through the mind of the Scarlet King as he attempted to find a solution to the deadly tribulation assaulting him.
Fortunately, Cain did not need to think too much.
The answer presented itself.
Asura Form was transforming his heart into an engine capable of channeling and burning the power of the universe, but that was merely the beginning.
Soon, it began targeting something far greater.
The three Fourth Realm forces flowing through Cain’s body!
Forces that even the Matrix of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe could not match.
The Eye of Flow, the Eye of Chaos, and the black eye upon Cain’s forehead suddenly erupted with terrifying radiance.
Their powers began flowing toward Cain’s heart.
Then they started revolving.
Faster.
Faster.
Faster.
The three forces intertwined around one another until, in an instant, they formed a magnificent halo.
A Tricolored Halo.
It did not merely contain the three powers.
It bent them.
The halo revolved around Cain’s heart, forcibly drawing the three completely different Fourth Realm forces into a unified cycle.
And then—
It happened.
All the raging energy coursing through Cain’s body was suddenly brought under control.
The overwhelming pressure that had threatened to tear him apart vanished beneath the gravitational might of the Tricolored Halo.
The majestic scarlet radiance overflowing from Cain’s body froze in place before rapidly converging inward.
Every fragment of energy returned to its source.
Cain’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared down at his chest.
The unimaginable power surging through his body was being controlled.
Not suppressed.
Not sealed.
Controlled.
All of it was being governed by the massive gravitational might of the Tricolored Halo now dominating his heart.
"So this was the true purpose of Asura Form!"
Cain’s eyes burned with excitement.
"It was never an ability that simply enhanced my speed and strength through my blood flow."
His expression gradually transformed into one of revelation and exhilaration.
"It was an ability meant to converge the power of multiple Fourth Realm Forces and..."
Before Cain could finish the thought, a tremendous burst of power erupted from the Tricolored Halo.
The force spread through his flesh and blood.
His broken armor vanished.
In its place appeared a dark robe woven with magnificent golden-scarlet threads, its surface flowing as though it had been forged from the radiance of the universe itself.
Cain’s skin turned dark red, while streams of scarlet plasma coursed through his body with far greater brilliance than before. Every vein became a river of overwhelming power, and every cell seemed to contain enough energy to destroy worlds.
Then, finally, something emerged from his left scapula.
A stream of three-colored plasma.
It rose behind Cain’s body before forming a massive arc above his figure, eventually connecting with his right scapula.
A halo had formed around him.
But this was no ordinary halo.
It revolved continuously, its three colors intertwining as it constantly transformed the surrounding cosmic energy into power that flowed into every single iota of Cain’s existence.
"HAHAHAHAHA!"
Cain burst into laughter, unable to believe just how fortunate he had been.
Originally, Asura Form had been nothing more than a desperate gamble, a final card he had played in the hope that it would allow him to find a path through the darkness and reach the light of victory.
But now, he understood.
"There is nothing left to find anymore..."
The Scarlet King spoke in a soft, almost peaceful voice as he stared at the three Incarnations. Each of them looked back with varying degrees of awe and shock, as if they were witnessing something that should not exist.
Cain smiled.
"I have become victory!"
The Scarlet King roared as he surged forward.
"BOOM!"
His movement was so overwhelming that a humanoid-shaped fracture appeared in the fabric of reality where he had stood. In the blink of an eye, Cain appeared directly before the Incarnation of the Samsara Lord.
The Incarnation barely managed to raise the Samsara Shield, gritting its teeth as it prepared to withstand the incoming strike.
But no amount of preparation could have been enough.
Tyranus Gungnir descended.
The power contained within the halberd was so immense that the impact reverberated throughout the Incarnation’s entire body, blasting it backward and sending it tumbling through the void while it coughed out mouthfuls of blood.
The Depravita and Neo-Demon Incarnations stared in shock at the terrifying striking force.
Yet even they were not prepared for what happened next.
"CRACK!"
The Samsara Shield—the mythic shield that had not suffered even the slightest damage throughout the entire battle—was now covered in cracks!
