Chapter 1824: Chapter 1922: Ancient Wilderness Battlefield

The conversation with the residual thought of Xuanyuan Ya revealed many things to Fang Lin and resolved many of his doubts.

Especially the secrets of the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree piqued Fang Lin’s interest. According to Xuanyuan Ya’s speculation, whether in this era or in the future era of the Nine Countries and Seven Seas, the First Generation Demon Saint might always be attached to that Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree.

In other words, Fang Lin might have come into close contact with the First Generation Demon Saint, but at that time, Fang Lin was relying on the power of the Sacred Tree to repair his physical body, so he didn’t feel it at all.

The fact that the Mountain Tu Ancient Spirit has four incarnations also added a layer of invisible worry to Fang Lin’s heart.

The known incarnations of the Ancient Spirit are Mo Shouhe and the First Generation Demon Saint, both among the most powerful beings in the world, and the other two unknown incarnations are likely not weaker than these two.

In other words, each of the four incarnations spawned by the Mountain Tu Ancient Spirit has strength equivalent to that of a Martial Lord.

Thinking of this, Fang Lin couldn’t help but take a breath of cold air. All four incarnations have Martial Lord strength. If the four incarnations were to unite into the true Mountain Tu Ancient Spirit, just how powerful would it be? Even a Martial Lord would struggle to contend with it?

Fang Lin finally understood why Xuanyuan Ya, even though a Martial Lord, did not live long, because Xuanyuan Ya was truly a strong one who fought against the Mountain Tu Ancient Spirit and battled with the four incarnations for many years. Each was extremely powerful, exhausting Xuanyuan Ya’s heart and strength.

Fortunately, although Xuanyuan Ya disappeared, he left hope for all beings in the world. A new Martial Lord emerged among the human clan, so Xuanyuan Ya left gracefully without any regrets.

Fang Lin left the desert; Xuanyuan Ya’s residual thought had completely dissipated, and there was no meaning for him to stay there anymore.

Suddenly, Fang Lin remembered something. He patted the beast bag at his waist and pulled out a head.

This head was that of the black-skirted woman, who had always been suppressed by Fang Lin, never seeing the light of day. Over time, Fang Lin had almost forgotten her.

The black-skirted woman opened her eyes angrily, glaring fiercely at Fang Lin. Suddenly, her expression changed as she began to look around.

"Where is this place?" The black-skirted woman looked around, somewhat bewildered and unsure.

Fang Lin’s expression was indifferent, saying, "This is the ancient era."

Upon hearing this, the black-skirted woman was first taken aback and then let out a sneer, looking at Fang Lin with mocking eyes.

"Do you think I would believe that? You can say such things?" the black-skirted woman ridiculed, not believing Fang Lin at all.

It’s understandable; likely, no normal person would believe Fang Lin’s words. Even the most powerful martial artists can’t reverse time, especially an expert like the black-skirted woman, who had long reached the Immortal realm. She knew well that time was the most formidable and terrifying force in the world, and a bygone era couldn’t possibly return.

Fang Lin said, "If you don’t believe me, I can take you around to have a look. Then you’ll know."

After saying this, Fang Lin took the head of the black-skirted woman and visited a few places, eventually even taking her near the vicinity of the Pill Saint Palace.

When the black-skirted woman saw the magnificent Pill Saint Palace, she was completely dumbfounded, her eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

"Impossible! How could this be possible? You must be deceiving me! You must have used some trick to deceive me!" The black-skirted woman couldn’t believe it, instinctively thinking it was an illusion created by Fang Lin. She refused to believe she was in the past era.

Fang Lin sneered, "Why would I deceive you? You’re of no value to me anymore. Do I really need to go to such lengths to fool you?"

The black-skirted woman stood dazed, looking at the distant Pill Saint Palace, muttering, "Pill Saint Palace, is this really the Pill Saint Palace? Is this truly the ancient era?"

Fang Lin responded with a simple "Hmm," offering no further explanation.

Suddenly, the black-skirted woman’s expression became fierce, desperately trying to break free from Fang Lin’s grasp. Though she was just a head, the power she unleashed was incredibly strong.

However, Fang Lin was no longer who he used to be, with an almost mid-Immortal level of powerful cultivation, and his strength was unfathomable. He easily subdued the black-skirted woman’s head.

"Release me! I’ll do anything for you!" Realizing that she was no match for Fang Lin, the black-skirted woman said.

Fang Lin remained unmoved, asking, "What do you want to do?"

The black-skirted woman gritted her teeth, saying, "You don’t need to care what I do. If you release me, I’ll promise to accomplish one thing for you."

Fang Lin laughed, "You’re only at the Immortal cultivation level. What can you do for me? With my current strength, I have no need for your help."

The black-skirted woman’s expression turned somewhat ugly. She had already sensed that Fang Lin’s martial arts realm had grown so quickly to the Immortal level.

"I know of a secret realm that can greatly increase your cultivation. If you let me go, I’ll take you there," the black-skirted woman said, then watched Fang Lin’s reaction.

Hearing this, Fang Lin appeared indifferent, but inside he was pondering.

He needed a way to enhance his cultivation. If the black-skirted woman could indeed take him to a secret realm conducive to training, that would be good.

However, Fang Lin couldn’t judge whether the woman was telling the truth or lying, as he had suffered losses at her hands before and couldn’t trust her easily.

"What kind of secret realm is it? Tell me," Fang Lin replied without showing his emotions.

The black-skirted woman said, "During the ancient era, there were many battles between the human clan and demon beasts, leaving behind numerous ancient battlefields. Most have been divided by various forces, but I know of one ancient battlefield that remains unclaimed by any force, still a land without an owner."

"Oh? An ancient battlefield?" Fang Lin showed a slight surprise.

He knew about ancient battlefields; they were relics from the ancient era, buried with many secrets. Every ancient battlefield provided many benefits to be discovered.

Therefore, most ancient battlefields had already been divided by major forces, and there were hardly any unexplored ancient battlefields left.

To Fang Lin’s knowledge, the Pill Saint Palace had at least three ancient battlefields under its control, and they were all very large in scale. Every ten years, the Pill Saint Palace would send a group of disciples to these three ancient battlefields for training.

Fang Lin had visited numerous ancient battlefields in his past life and obtained some opportunities. He had some understanding of ancient battlefields, though it wasn’t too extensive, as he primarily went there to seek rare herbs.
