Chapter 2715: Chapter 2715: No Regrets (3)
"If he dares to kill me, my grandpa would kill him right back, and we’d both be wiped out. Then it’d truly be peaceful." Hao Jian spread his hands innocently.
Yang Ruxin’s mouth twitched. "Alright, enough nonsense with you guys. I called you over today to introduce you to a girl. Don’t worry, I guarantee your dad will be thrilled. She’s top-notch both in looks and talent."
"Ruxin." Hao Jian sighed. "Can I refuse?"
Yang Ruxin shook her head.
Hao Jian lowered his head and said nothing.
"If you don’t speak, I’ll take it as your agreement. Tomorrow, I’ll go see Master Hao."
"Ruxin, my dear sister." Hao Jian quickly waved his hand, his face looking sour. "You know there’s someone in my heart."
Peng Mingzi’s body couldn’t help but tense up, her eyes widening instantly. She sat frozen, listening intently to the conversation outside, afraid to miss a word.
"But doesn’t that person in your heart not fancy you?" Yang Ruxin sneered disdainfully.
"But that’s because I’m not good enough." Hao Jian looked down, fiddling with his fingers sheepishly. "You know, I used to be a fat slob, a spoiled rich kid. You wanted to kill me at first too. How could such a wonderful person ever like me?"
"And you think she’d like you now?" Yang Ruxin rubbed her forehead. How did she never notice this kid was so devoted?
"I am working hard to improve, aren’t I? Haven’t you seen how I’ve slimmed down? And I’m not a spoiled brat anymore. I think one day she’ll notice me."
"Hmm, by then she’ll probably be a mother already."
"Sis, would it kill you not to discourage me?" Hao Jian growled.
"Won’t kill me, but it’ll drive me crazy!" Yang Ruxin spread her hands.
"Anyway, as long as she’s not married, I won’t marry," Hao Jian declared firmly.
"Are you sure?" Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows. "Won’t regret it?"
Hao Jian shook his head.
"What if I say that if you defy me, I won’t cooperate with you anymore?"
"No way!" Hao Jian jumped, "Sis, I’m working really hard here! How can you do this to me? That’s mixing personal and professional matters."
"I am mixing personal with professional, what will you do about it?" Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly. "Now, you only have two paths in front of you. One, you refuse me and we part ways. Two, you agree to my proposal and join me in living the good life and reaching the pinnacle of life."
"Is there no third option?" Hao Jian pouted, feeling wronged.
Yang Ruxin calmly shook her head.
"Ruxin, dear, Hao Jian really likes that Miss Peng. Can you just spare him?" Qin Shou couldn’t sit still anymore, "At worst, we’ll work harder for you in the future."
Yang Ruxin remained noncommittal.
"Fine." Hao Jian was silent for a long time, finally sighing, "I can only disappoint you, Ruxin." With that, he turned and left.
Qin Shou glanced at Yang Ruxin, then bowed slightly before following him out.
Peng Mingzi’s tears started falling. What did she do to deserve someone so devoted to her?
Yang Ruxin watched the pair rush out of the courtyard, feeling both amused and exasperated, she could only make a gesture.
Soon, the two who ran out were dragged back by their collars and thrown inside.
"You haven’t even seen the person I want to introduce to you, and you’re already refusing? Aren’t you giving me any face?" Yang Ruxin got up and kicked Hao Jian’s butt. "I didn’t realize you, brat, are so stubborn!"
Hao Jian stood there, feeling wronged, and said nothing.
