The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 2022 Seating Plan

Chapter 2022 Seating Plan

In the new hotels, the food was finally ready, and a sign had been placed at the doors to the auditorium that there would be a show tonight, along with dinner service in the private lounge.

No membership or reservation required tonight. Private booths assigned by power level on a first come, first served basis. The idea was that they would reserve the private rooms for the Clan Leaders, and use the limited space to encourage them to sit together and perhaps learn to get along.

That might be considered a minor miracle, but if they could sit together through a show and dinner, it would be a good start.

The tables in the private rooms were mostly made for eight people, so they could have the Supreme Ranked leadership of whole regions sitting together in a booth. Or an alliance, along with their second in command.

That was causing minor chaos in the hall, but the staff was willing to randomly assign members to tables so that ten members could all sit together without having to arrange it themselves.

If they didn't know each other, it might actually be better, Opal thought.

But Andrea would prefer that they were all on familiar terms so that they would be more likely to spill secrets and tell her about this region's politics.

What none of them had counted on was the fact that every single group was requesting that they get a table with one of the Elders from the Darklight Host, if possible.

Most of the Guild hadn't been intending to attend the event at all, and if they were, they could reserve a whole booth for themselves, as they had enough Supreme Ranked members to fill a table.

In retrospect, she should have seen this coming.

They were the hosts, they were a growing power in the region, and the Supreme Ranked members of the Guild were almost all new to the region, so none of the Clan Leaders really knew them in more than a passing fashion.

Getting to sit with them for a few hours during dinner and a show would be an excellent opportunity not only to get to know the members, but also to scope out the chances of the Darklight Host becoming an ally of their Clans.

Opal had been too excited about getting everyone to see one of her original shows, and she had forgotten about the rest when she started making arrangements without telling anyone else.

If she had asked Andrea, or even Cara, they would have told her this would happen.

But the bunnies were super excited for today. It was a high-stress moment, cooking in two different kitchens for two packed crowds at the same time, but they got to show off their skills to the entire region at once, and everyone would know that there were Immortal bunnies with Divine Cooking in the Darklight Host.

That was a huge step forward for bunnies everywhere.

They didn't get much respect from any of the Clans that had gathered here, but almost all of them had bunnies as assistants around their Clan. Only a few of them were exceptions, and those were the Clans that only admitted humans.

Well, they normally labelled themselves as Sects, in the Cultivation System style, but it was the same thing to the bunnies. Those groups usually made their junior members do the work that the bunnies did, in order to teach them responsibility.

They thought that might not be bad.

They had gotten to work with Karl when he was new here because he was on punishment detail. And look how well he had adapted to the idea of bunnies in daily life?

Little did they know, Karl had actually been way ahead of the curve and had his own fondness for fluffy beastkin before he ever met the bunnies of the Immortal worlds. But in their minds, it was entirely because they had made such a good impression before he had a chance to solidify his bias against them.

He even liked their cooking before it was a skill.

The guest list was being made in a hurry, with everyone simply being assigned seats in the lower area's tables, or one at a private booth with others their rank. However, Andrea had managed to gather everyone so that they could have an Elder of the Darklight Host in each of the private booths.

That was destined to be a disaster, she was certain.

But they were going to get to meet everyone, and she had done her best to make certain that the Pack Leader and Lady Rue had not been seated at a table full of old enemies.

Both of them had more than a few, and a long history in this world before they were members of the Darklight Host. So, you couldn't just seat them next to anyone.

With a quick glance at the roster, Andrea made one final change, putting Clan Leader Nerissa with the Pack Leader, and then handed the seating arrangements to the constructs that were working as the hotel staff.

The Supreme Ranked members went first, filling the private rooms so that they could close the doors and set security at them, keeping the whole upper floor private, and then the Peak Immortal Clan Leaders filled the lower bowl of the auditorium, leaving only a handful of seats for the other Elders.

"Fear not, there will be a late night show for those who did not get a seat at the early show, and the restaurant is open for general seating," Opal announced as Andrea followed her group upstairs.

The Succubus Spy Master had assigned herself a table full of Merchant Clan members, all people who travelled a lot and had extensive connections.

She was certain that at least one of them would have ties to the Assassin's Guild, or the Spymaster's Guild of this world, if they had one. And if they had one, she would test them to see if they recognized her for what she was, and if they were willing to work with her.

The faster that she could build her network, the better.
