Chapter 2029 Happy Bunnies
Chapter 2029 Happy Bunnies
In Dana's opinion, the bunnies were entirely too excited about the prospect of a new arena.
There were already restaurants in town that could serve everything that they were coming up with in the kitchens, but the fact that they were going to be serving them at the arena had all the fluffy eared chefs worked up into a frenzy.
"What's the deal with the excitement? How is the arena different?" She finally demanded.
The Druid next to her, one of the obsession demons, laughed at her annoyance.
It's a simple thing, really. You see, people come into a shop because they want a thing. A coffee, a drink to quench thirst, a meal. But they go to the arena for entertainment. Nobody sits at a coffee shop for six straight hours going through a dozen beverages.
That's not a thing.
But at a sporting event? Not only will they go through a dozen drinks, they will order food twice in one sitting, and try the most random of things that they would never order off a restaurant menu.
Why?
Simply because it's available and they have never tried it before.
Restaurants are functional, arenas are recreational, and that means that the chefs get to try out every weird recipe that they didn't think would make it on a regular menu, with a captive audience that's in the mood to try new things, just for the experience, without thought of whether that's an appropriate item to have for a meal at that time of day."
Dana laughed as the demon earnestly explained the situation.
So, the whole thing was just the bunnies getting super excited that they were going to have more people try the products that they had worked hard to come up with, and they were getting a setting where nobody was going to tell them that it wasn't appropriate for the theme or the existing menu because an arena or stadium was a setting where everything possible was not only allowed, but expected.
That made complete sense, now that she thought of it that way.
"If there is anything else that they would like, please let me know. I can make all sorts of useful devices for them, if they need a specialty tool to make their new concoctions."
One of the bunnies ran over. "In that case, can you make me a folding machine that's two metres on each side? I want it to layer and cut pastries. I need it to roll them thin, then fold, and roll thin again."
That was the most time-consuming part of making delicate pastries, and it would normally need to be done by hand. But under the guidance of a skilled chef, they could definitely use a Runecrafted machine to do it.

Fortunately for them, Cara had the final piece that Dana needed, a nature stone with bonuses to [Divine Cooking] already inscribed into it.
Dana couldn't use the skill, but Karl could. And because Karl could, Cara could. At least, well enough to add it to items, as Dana had never actually seen the badger baking anything. She had the kitchens make everything that she needed, including the pity cupcakes that she handed out so freely.
"Alright, I can make what you need. You'll need a real chef to use it right, but even just having a helper do it should be fine."
The bunny gave her a hug. "That's fine. We use [Ancient Wisdom] to transfer the skills to our helpers, since Karl has it set as the Guild Skill right now. It's much more helpful than the healing one for all of us who don't get into fights."
[Ancient Wisdom] Immortal Rank, Epic Grade. Allows the caster to grant one skill usable by themselves or an active summon to their entire Party. {Usable as a Guild Skill}
Dana had nearly forgotten about the Guild Skill, and belatedly realized that three quarters of the Guild was using it at any given point in time, and she could have just asked the bunny to join a group with her so that she would have the skill, and wouldn't have to rely on borrowing from Cara.

Not that Cara minded.
If it was for the sake of entertainment, chaos or snacks, she was more than willing to part with some of her loot.
As she worked, Dana scanned the mental links, wondering what everyone was up to right now.
Cara and Opal were in the Arena with the green dragons. Skadi was in the New Home warehouse, letting Min do her hair, Leo had gone to school to meet with his friends and learn today's new thing.
But Tian was still with Leon, trying not to laugh at the Seraphim's annoyance with the visiting Clan Leaders.
The white winged man had an intensely charismatic aura, and people simply wouldn't leave him alone. So, Tian had decided that was the best place to be, as they were both Holy Element, and being around someone that everyone wanted to talk to meant that very few people were going to bother him.
He liked all the attention, but mostly he liked being admired, not touched.
So, he was playing a soft background tune for the negotiations. It was actually [Fox God Charm] the bard skill. It created a mild enthralling effect on the Clan Leaders, but so did Leon's presence, and none of them seemed to notice that the pair were working together to keep everyone's tempers down and the mood friendly.
Even though most of the Clan Leaders couldn't stand each other.
Dana was impressed. The little fox was doing an excellent job of getting things done, while Karl was stuck in negotiations with just one Clan Leader.
That deal was progressing well, though. With the new beverage offerings from the bunnies, they had pivoted the conversation from simply trading weapons and accessories to arranging regional events at the new arena.
Nobody else had a Legendary Arena for the Supreme Ranked and Peak Immortals to challenge each other.
The Trade Clans saw a huge potential in that.
If they could get the Darklight Host to bring everyone together for regular events, they could set up a market square either in town, or just outside of it. That would let them make their purchases from the Host, but also trade off and sell the other goods that they had gathered.
There was just one more thing that they needed to make it practical.
Access.
