The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 2043 Need To Stockpile

Chapter 2043 Need To Stockpile

The Elders gathered at the front of the room sat silent for nearly a minute as they tried to decide how they were going to deal with this situation. Clearly, they had to do something, as the whole Clan was in an uproar about the new potion and pills.

But there were no more to give out, and the word had spread before they had even gotten time to stockpile the ingredients.

Normally, when a development like this was made, they would find out years in advance, set missions to stockpile the resources, and then make it known to the Clan.

But now?

Not only had word spread throughout the new home merchant clan, it had spread to everyone who was waiting for the dungeon in the Blackwoods village.

And that was the last thing that they wanted.

The world would know that the Darklight Host and the New Home Merchant Clan had developed new alchemy recipes together soon, and that meant they would come looking for them.

Either to buy them or to steal the recipe.

Naturally, everyone assumed that the weakest link in this risk would be Remi. The Naga kept the appearance of a young girl of her species, with a snake body thinner than most men's legs, and a dainty appearance.

If you could ignore the fact that she looked like a cobra with four arms wearing alchemy robes.

"We need to begin the process of gathering resources for the new recipes, but we cannot let the world know what special resources are needed for these pills. How do you presume to overcome this issue, Elder Socrate?" Clan Leader Nerissa finally asked.

Socrate smiled back at her. "Clan Leader, we have already gathered sufficient resources for over a thousand doses. The issue is the timing. We were remiss in our duty to caution the children not to spread the word.

However, with the testing successfully completed in the first round, we have enough materials to continue the work.

However, it will take time.

The potions can be mass produced by those with sufficient skills in Runic Alchemy. But the pills need a true master. The first ones were made by the Supreme Pill Master of the Darklight Host, and anyone without that level of experience will struggle to replicate them, as they can only be made at Epic Grade, and any lesser attempts will fail with the substitute reagents."

That would calm down the crowd a little.

Not nearly as much as they had hoped, as the Elders quickly realized. Yes, an Epic Grade pill was valuable in the extreme. But for the future of their children? Any parent would pay that price, and they could consider it part of the standard training resources that the younger members of the Clan needed.

Parents would work hard for it. Orphans would grind quests for it, and those transferred from the mortal worlds would do anything that they could to get their hands on it.

For them, such an Immortal Treasure was more than they could have ever hoped for.

"How long will it take?" Nerissa demanded, staring directly at Remi, who was clearly the less adept at politics.

The Naga shrugged as all eyes turned her way.

"{ In order to make enough, using the apprentices that I have now, I would say three months for the Clan, and a year before we have enough potion that it should be fully stocked in the Guild Store.

The pills will take longer. The Alchemy Hall has two other members who might be able to make them, but might not. The Darklight Host only has one Pill Master. Even with four of them, the process is long enough that they're not going to have regular stock anytime soon.

The amount they make will barely cover the annual intake of the Guild, much less everything else. }"

Andrea nodded in satisfaction and patted the Naga on the head.

That was the perfect answer. The pills only took a day to make, and she could produce twenty at a time, when she was making them at Epic Grade and Immortal Rank. So, she could theoretically make a hundred a week.

With the single use restrictions, they could likely manage to make enough of both that they could keep up with demand. But that would take up all their time, and Remi's mind had scheduled only one day a week for them to make this product, instead of doing experiments or making the other things that the store sold.

So, the Clan Leader had misunderstood, and assumed that it would be a full time endeavour to make enough of this just to cover the most important members.

That was the best outcome in the minds of the two senior Alchemists, though they knew that it was not Remi scheming to reduce her workload, but Remi scheming to avoid cutting back on her side experiments.

As long as she got results, nobody complained too much.

"Alright, we will spread the word that it will be half a year before the potions and pills are available for sale. However, with this change, we will have some additional requests.

Elder Socrate, we need you to train another Pill Master for the Hall.

The ones that we have now are already overworked, and this will only add to the backlog. I cannot make demands of the Darklight Host, but I can of you, and this is needed for the Clan."

Andrea chuckled, as she knew perfectly well that the only way they could easily get another pill master was to bribe Karl to transfer Runic Alchemy to a standard Alchemist, and then train them up with pill recipes.

It wouldn't take too long, once they had the skill, but it would still be absurd to think that they could be a true Pill Master within half a year, even if they had the system skill for it. Five years was a much more realistic timeline.

But they didn't need a true pill master, just one that could reliably make Epic Grade pills.
