Chapter 1639: Seven Day Tournament(6)
Philip’s killing came as a shock to the entire family, but there wasn’t much time to grieve.
Only a few days later, there were attacks on various resource points of the Svant family.
Leia was very strong, but she was still a single figure. The Svant family didn’t have anyone else with the strength, so they didn’t immediately respond.
When they found the attacker, that would be the time for Leia to act. She also understood this, so she controlled herself.
Time flew by, and as time went on, the attacks on different resource points grew both in intensity and impact.
The number of casualties the Svants had faced over the past few months exceeded even their worst accidents by some margin.
Leia could no longer stay back and had to act.
On the Basalita mine, a group of Svants and their subordinate families stood as guards. It was an extremely important resource point for the family, as more than twenty percent of their revenue came from the mithril mined there.
Rumors started flying around that Leia had been injured due to trying to force a breakthrough and was hiding in the inner Basalita mine. Every nook and corner of the mine was being guarded by the Svants and their subordinate family’s forces.
"Are you certain that Leia is here?"
A masked man asked another masked man. The latter was one of the guards on the mine who had now been bribed by the attackers.
"Yes. Many others and I saw her rushing inside with our own eyes."
The latter responded with absolute certainty.
The man wasn’t the only spy. The attackers confirmed it from all the spies, and everyone had the same answer to give.
Now the attackers had two choices to make. They should either attack the mine and kill Leia before she could recover, or they should use Leia’s absence to attack the Svant family’s main residence.
"The Svant family is Leia, and Leia is the Svant family!"
That was the statement that made their choice for them. Without Leia, the Svant family wouldn’t be able to defend their territory at all, whereas Leia could create the Svant family anywhere she wanted.
Their full forces arrived and struck the mine with full force.
Leia kept hiding as if she were extremely injured and unable to fight, causing the enemy forces to move deeper into the mine.
While the battle was going on, the spies hiding in the family’s camp also came out in the open and changed their sides, making the Svants’ situation even more precarious.
In the deepest corner of the mine, a screen was playing out the entire battle. Leia looked at it with gloomy eyes. She wanted to join the battle and save her family members, but Lorne had given her a clear order to only attack when she was certain of the most damage.
With gritted teeth, she controlled herself and watched the screen, remembering every face that participated in that battle and attacked any member of the Svant family.
Her breath suddenly turned heavy as some of the forces crossed the line she had marked in her mind.
She urged others to cross that mark as well, so she could end those enemies in one wave.
The attackers could also feel there was something wrong with the situation, as at one point, the Svants had gone crazy and were no longer caring about their lives. They simply kept pushing their group deeper into the mine.
Fangzi’s heart skipped a beat as a chilling sensation covered his body. He immediately looked up, and not long after, a beam of light appeared.
When the light disappeared, Leia appeared in the full view of everyone. The Svants cheered while the enemy’s expressions became heavy.
Looking at her, there were no signs of injury on her.
Fangzi, who was on the same level as her, felt her strength clearly. She was even stronger than when he saw her last time.
The stories about her getting injured were clearly spread around by the Svant family. He took a deep breath, as all was not lost. He had the numerical advantage on his side.
It was just that the battle victory would be very heavy, but now that the situation had turned out to be this, Fangzi hardened his heart and floated up to meet Leia.
Leia only scoffed when she saw Fangzi trying to battle her. She didn’t hold back and took out a card.
It was the most precious talisman her grandfather had purchased at a very high cost.
As she cracked open the card, arrows made out of light appeared, and without asking for anything, they immediately struck everyone other than those who were the Svants or on their side.
Fangzi was the only one left after a massacre of several minutes, and even he was in a terrible shape.
Leia couldn’t let Fangzi die an easy death after all the destruction he had caused upon the Svant family. She first crippled him and then threw him into the prison.
His life in the Svant family had only just begun.
After capturing Fangzi, the attacks stopped. The Svant family compensated everyone who had died on their side, while massacring those who had switched sides.
For the next month, the sky and the earth had turned red from negative energy and blood, respectively.
It was said that after every destruction, life comes. For the Svants, the situation was the same.
Philip had a grandson whose talent was only second to Leia. In the next couple of centuries, with Leia, Lorne, and the grandson, the Svant family grew to greater heights.
Time flew by, and ten thousand years had passed in the blink of an eye.
Lorne was on his deathbed as his lifespan was about to be over. Even though he had several million years left in his original lifespan, due to the injuries and forbidden techniques, his body could no longer sustain itself unless his level increased.
