But still, the resources before them were worth enough for Lenita to disregard not only her children but also her father.

Since the situation was like that, Lorne needed to deal with her in a way that would benefit the family.

He didn’t think about killing Lenita because she wasn’t an unrecognized daughter, but one of her father’s favorites. If anything happened to her, her father would raze the Svant family to the ground.

So the two began discussing their deal. In the end, Lenita was to carry whatever they gained from here and then hand over fifty percent of it to Lorne.

She was chosen as the carrier because of her identity. The storage devices of Lorne and others from the Svant family would be checked upon exiting the secret realm. That wouldn’t be the case for Lenita due to her background.

As for Lenita betraying Lorne, he thought about it but could only trust her in the end.

She was one of her father’s favorites, so her status was high in the family, but it all would exist until the favor lasted. In the world, only one’s own power was the perfect background.

What she gained from that deal was more than enough to propel her ten or fifteen levels forward, so there was no need for her to think much.

The family then carefully took the herbs and stored them in sealed boxes, so their life force wouldn’t dwindle.

Time flew by, and it took the group of more than ten people three days to take out all the herbs, except for one that had a barrier surrounding it.

The barrier seemed to be a very high level, so no matter what the group tried, it remained perfectly intact.

The secret realm would only stay open for three months, and there wasn’t much time left, so they needed to make a decision.

Lorne gritted his teeth and decided to leave. Even though the herb was a Level 50 herb that could sell for an uncountable number of Level 20 and 30 resources, the barrier protecting it wouldn’t break even if the group kept continuously attacking it for the next hundreds of years.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

But as the group was about to leave, cracks suddenly started appearing around the barrier.

Boom!

With a loud explosion, the barrier exploded not long after, to the utter shock of Lorne and the group.

Following the shock, they became excited since they could take the herb out without the barrier.

But before Lorne or Lenita could make any movement, the herb turned into a beam of light and flew toward the group. To be exact, its target was Leia, Lorne’ talented granddaughter.

Leia couldn’t even catch the movement, and a gray light engulfed her.

Her hair then started turning grey while wrinkles appeared around her skin as if she was aging at a rapid rate.

Lorne wanted to stop, but everything happened too quickly, not allowing him any movement at all.

He could only hope for Leia to survive, but as time passed, she only grew older.

In less than ten seconds, Leia had grown from a young kid with hundreds of years left to someone on the verge of death with lifespan exhaustion.

The process then started to reverse. It was a miraculous Level 100 herb that could enhance the talent of any being to an unprecedented level.

Leia’s power level then started to grow at a rapid rate. In only a few seconds, she had reached the late level of Level 9, and soon she touched the Level 10 mark.

The speed only grew after that as her level kept growing, only to slow down once she touched Level 28, but it was still going up.

While all this was happening, Lorne and others stood frozen from shock.

Finally, the level increase stopped when Leia touched Level 30.

Her hair had completely turned gray, while her skin had turned back to what it was originally.

Leia was the hero Lorne needed for the Svant family.

A thousand years ago, with a miraculous herb, Leia grew from Level 9 to 30 in the span of some hours.

After leaving the secret realm, Lorne kept her hidden from others while Lenita officially joined the Svant family, becoming Lorne’s principal wife.

In those thousand years, Leia took the Svant family from a subordinate family to a second-ranked family that could decide things.

It wasn’t easy, but her talent had been enhanced to the extent that she took only six hundred years to reach the Level 50 mark from Level 30.

A Level 50 creature had a lifespan of ten million years, so she hadn’t lived even a fraction of it.

The master family was horrified by Leia’s growth, so when they tried to stifle it, they were met with a tragic response. Leia killed a couple of their Level 50 members, drastically reducing the family’s strength.

Her response left the family no choice but to accept the independence of the Svant family.

Along with Leia, Lorne had also become very powerful over time. He was now a Level 46 who had a very long life left.

That day was the hundred year celebration of the Svant family becoming a second-ranked family.

A second-ranked family controlled a territory that could be called a continent, and for the celebration, every corner was decorated.

Lorne was still the head of the family, and Leia was only second to him in authority.

Leia still respected her grandfather and accepted his lead, so there weren’t any leadership issues.

The celebration lasted for seven days, but on the last day, bad news arrived.

Philip, Lorne’ eldest son and Leia’s father, had been killed. With his talent, he couldn’t live that long, but with Leia’s help, he was fed with resources, pushing him to Level 18.
