Chapter 1047: Back And Forth.

The power gained from burning its lifespan wasn’t used to enhance the Supreme Metacs. It was actually used to enhance the dragon’s five stats. This, in turn, increased the power that the Supreme Metacs could produce.

As for how the dragon was doing this, he couldn’t tell. So he couldn’t copy this move and use it to defend himself.

After he used the Power Identification Ability, he saw that the power output of the dragon was now at 9(Cultivation Rank) × (9.9(Body) + 9.9(Mind) + 9.9(Will) + 9.9(Soul) + 9.9(Insight)) × (930(Supreme Metac) × 270(Divine Metac)), which was 111,865,050 units of divine power.

So the power of the dragon has increased by 10%. This was little, but it meant that the dragon could now overcome his defenses and hurt him.

Another thing he noticed was that the consumption of the dragon had increased to 4,519,800 years of lifespan per second and 4,860 units of Entropy per second. This was twice as much as he was consuming before.

Because of this 100% increase in consumption, the amount of time the dragon had left was cut in half. Already, the dragon was at 53% energy and 34% Entropy. Now that it was consuming 4.52% of its lifespan per second and 4.44% of Entropy per second, it only had 7.7 seconds left to live.

In comparison, Loki was at 37% Energy and 86% Entropy. He had lost the same amount of Energy as the dragon, which is 18%, because the two of them had been using the same amount of Divine Metacs and Supreme Metacs.

The dragon hadn’t been able to hurt him, so the dragon’s attacks hadn’t been able to make him lose Entropy or Energy. Using Supreme Metacs also doesn’t make him lose Entropy, which is why his Entropy has been constant so far.

At the current rate of consumption, he can last for 16.37 seconds. This is more than twice as long as the dragon, but the final outcome is unlikely to turn out like this now that the dragon is stronger than him.

While he was making these calculations in his head, the dragon was also making the same calculations. In fact, the dragon had finished the calculations long before Loki did. The dragon also came to several conclusions that Loki didn’t consider.

With a grave mental note, it thought, ’This ant is cheating with Entropy. If I am a copy of him but don’t have this same privilege, it must be his origin talent. This should be why the Spark of Power chose him.’

’In my current state, the best way to utilize my advantage is to switch from defending to attacking. But if I do that, he will surely take advantage of my lack of defenses to drain my lifespan and recover his energy.’

’So if I must attack, I must also defend, or I will lose. It seems this is time to bring out my origin talent too.’

Of all of these conclusions, the only one Loki had remotely come to realize himself was the first one. By this time, he realized that using Supreme Metacs was not producing Entropy within him. As for why this was the case, he didn’t know.

As the dragon was thinking, it had already taken action. It activated its origin talent, which made it grow a second head and one more pair of arms.

When the second head and the extra pair of arms appeared, the dragon officially became two people in one body. The second head gained an extra set of Supreme Metacs and Divine Metacs, so the dragon now possessed two sets.

With two sets, the dragon could now attack and defend at the same time. However, the two people in the dragon were using the same Energy and Entropy pool.

The limit of Entropy for the dragon had doubled now that it was two people. Its current capacity for Entropy increased from 34% to 68%. But its Entropy consumption had also increased from 4.44% to 8.88%, so it only had 7.7 seconds left to live.

’I don’t have a second head, do I?’ Loki asked inwardly.

While Loki was feeling confused by the sudden appearance of a second head, the dragon attacked him. Its second head used the same Devouring Ability to attack Loki. Since Loki was defenseless, this move would kill him.

"Damn it," Loki cursed as he switched from offense to defense.

He turned every Metac he was using to defend himself. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good enough because the dragon was burning extra lifespan to increase its power.

Because the dragon’s power had increased by 10%, the best power that he could use was no longer good enough to defend himself. So the dragon was now able to devour his lifespan.

The dragon was able to devour 2,259,900 years of his lifespan per second, which was 2.26% of his lifespan per second. Together with his normal consumption of 2.26% per second, his current 37% for Energy could only last 8.2 seconds.

As for the dragon, its energy consumption had doubled because of its second head. Now it was consuming 9.04% of Energy per second, not the previous 4.52%.

So the 2.26% that it was consuming from Loki couldn’t make up for its consumption. It could only reduce its consumption from 9.04% to 6.78%. That meant its 53% of energy could last 7.8 seconds, which wasn’t much better than how long its Entropy could hold out for.

When it realized this, it stopped defending itself. After all, Loki was no longer attacking it, so it didn’t need to defend itself anymore.

This cut its energy expenditure by another 2.26%, so it was now consuming 4.52% of energy, and its 53% of energy could last 11.7 seconds. Even its consumption of Entropy had fallen in half, so it could now last 15.4 seconds.
