Chapter 1052: Second Law Of Thermodynamics.

His words were the only sound in the darkness, so Astra surely heard him. But the two headed cyclops didn’t answer his questions.

He didn’t give up just yet, though. He shouted again, saying, "And there are the other layers of the sphere. How did you make it so that they have the same surface area as the first layer? What even is that shape called?"

No matter what he said, Astra of the stars remained unresponsive. If Loki didn’t know any better, he would have thought the two-headed cyclops was dead.

Anyway, he didn’t mind that Astra wasn’t responding. In his current state, he was running mad with curiosity and was content with asking questions.

The act of asking questions diverted some of his attention from the incomprehensible nature of the net and made it so that his mind didn’t fall into that abyss of nets again. It also allowed the questions to leave his mind, creating space in his mind and preventing his mind from exploding from the pressure of too many questions.

Fortunately for him, the dimming lights of the 270 units of commonality were able to draw his attention back to the most important and urgent matter that he needed to deal with at the moment.

"That’s right. I still need to advance. And I need to advance by utilizing my origin talent."

"I know exactly what I should do. I should use this net structure to restructure all of my Supreme Metacs into one. I don’t understand it completely, so doing this will create a lot of chaos that will create a lot of Entropy when the result is used, but I don’t care."

As he thought of this, his face widened into a smile, and his eyes flashed with a hint of madness.

"Yes, yes. That’s what I should do."

"You know what, I should take things further and try to make the objective the intentional production of Entropy in my targets. Of course, that will create more Entropy within me when I use it, but I don’t care."

Right now, his advancement has stalled. A problem that neither Heavenly Eye nor Golden Sun warned him about suddenly appeared, catching him off guard.

He couldn’t really blame them about this, though. After all, the problem came about because of his unique nature.

Usually, when Dao Initiates advance, they do so with one Supreme Metac within them. He is different from them in that he has more than one Supreme Metac. All of the rules of operation in the Supreme Metacs are clashing now with the divine crystal.

A normal Dao Initiate in his shoes would have exploded and died now. But he can still handle the situation and prevent it from going out of control with the spark of power.

With the spark of power, he can prevent the different Supreme Metacs from tearing each other apart in their attempt to hoard the 270 units of commonality. But until he decides which Supreme Metac he will sacrifice the rest to, he won’t be able to advance.

He has a lot of Supreme Metacs, but only one of them can dictate the direction of advancement. The rest will have to be sacrificed so that the single Supreme Metac will gain control of all 270 units of commonality and give direction to the divine crystal for fission.

This isn’t a problem for him at all. With the Power Shifting Ability, he can easily combine every Supreme Metac into one. He can even shift every Supreme Metac to look and behave like one Supreme Metac.

However, he had a better idea. Instead of fostering harmony with the Supreme Metacs, he decided to go the opposite route and embrace chaos.

Giggling like a maniac, he got to work. He started by creating a point in the darkness of the spark of power.

This point was a one-dimensional object. It would serve as the foundation of the Supreme Metac he wanted to create.

He used the concept of Entropy to make this point. That is, it is a point that will grow infinitely or stay constant, but can never be reduced.

So the point is made with the second law of thermodynamics that states that the total entropy of an isolated system must always go up or stay flat over time during any natural process.

He used this rule as the basis of his framework because he wanted to take advantage of his origin talent by encouraging every operation within the Supreme Metac to tend towards entropy, and because he wanted to make sure that whatever he created wouldn’t collapse under pressure.

Both reasons were very important to him. Especially that last part. He really needed something that wouldn’t collapse because of his ineptitude in replicating that 4-dimensional object.

After making the point, he made another point. This time, he extended the point into a line by piling up the points onto one another. Then he created more lines and used them to create a box around the first point.

Finally, he drew lines from the eight corners of the box to the point at the center of the cube. This completed his first step in creating an indestructible bedrock for the Supreme Metac.

His goal was to make the Supreme Metac look like the abyss of nets whose beginning was also its end, and each layer of nets was the same size as the surface area of the first layer. But he didn’t know how to make something like that, so he started with something small like a box.

With the first box made, he picked the Devouring Supreme Metac and stuffed it into the box. The size of the box was 1,1,1(x,y,z), so it had a volume of 1 unit, while the size of Fenrir was 9,9,1(x,y,z), which put it at 81 units. Therefore, Fenrir was definitely bigger than the box. Because of the difference in size, the box was buried within Fenrir, with Fenrir spilling out of its sides.
