Chapter 1051: Emphasizing The Uniqueness.
With Astra staying right next to him, it was like he was a mortal living in a small room with a tiger. The threat of death was just too much to relax.
Shaking his head, he said, "I can’t relax at all. If I am to become a Dao Lord, I must do so in a way that will emphasize my advantage, which is my origin talent. That way, even if he finds a way to nullify my talent, and I’m sure that he will, his plans will be rendered outdated."
"But I must also make this development something he can’t copy and use against me when he comes for the second round. At least, even if he copies it, the advantage must come at a great cost to him when he uses it compared to me."
"In summary, I must find a unique advantage that highlights my origin talent and renders me undefeatable by anyone with the quantity and quality of power. Only then can I prove that I am worthy of being the host of the spark of power."
"What should it be? How can I enhance my advantage?"
While he was thinking, the 270 units of commonality were dimming. Clearly, he was running out of time to find that unique advantage he wanted so badly.
He knew that he was running out of time and that he should come up with something as soon as possible. But this put pressure on him that made it difficult for him to come up with an idea.
"My origin talent is that I don’t create Entropy when I produce power. If I am to take advantage of this, then I should find a way to create great power that is extremely inefficient and normally produces a lot of Entropy."
"Another option is to find a way to force people to produce more Entropy when they utilize their power. Doing this should create a lot of Entropy within me, but I can avoid that consequence with my origin talent."
"I could also make it so that my attacks produce more Entropy than usual when they strike an enemy. It should be done in such a way that doing this will come at a greater cost of Entropy. So anyone without my origin talent who tries to use this method will have to pay a terrible price for it."
Just as he came up with this option, the spark of power finished digesting the incomprehensible material. So information about the material surged into his mind, and he gained a better understanding of it.
He had wanted to rush up to it to eat it himself, but he knew his limits. He knew that he couldn’t even begin to understand the material, so there was no way he could utilize it properly.
With great restraint, he had left the digestion to the spark of power. Since the spark had helped him to digest and understand Supreme Metacs, he had full faith in it to digest this material.
As it turned out, he was right to trust the spark of power. The spark of power didn’t fail his expectations and was able to squeeze out more value from that material than he ever could.
In his mind, he saw a great net. Between the gaps of the net, he saw another net. Within the gaps of the net, he saw another layer of nets.
The more he looked, the more nets he saw. The strange part was that the nets within the gaps were of the same size as the net whose gap they were in.
It was as if a full-sized human was stuffed into the nostril of another full-sized human. Then a third human was stuffed into the nostril of the second human inside the nostril of the first human.
This made him shake his head and say, "This can’t be right. They can’t be the same size. That’s not how space works."
But that’s how this material was structured, and it didn’t matter what he thought of this strange structure. Its structure wouldn’t change just because he couldn’t understand it.
When he had looked at it earlier, he had seen the gap within the first net and seen the second net. But seeing the second net forced his perspective to change from being outside of the first net to being inside the gap of the first net.
The more he tried to understand what he was seeing, the lower his perspective became and the deeper into the net he went. So he was falling and falling deeper into the net with no end in sight.
Fortunately, the net wasn’t infinite in size. When he reached the bottom of the net, he came out on top of the first net and was looking down at it again.
His eyes lit up in understanding as he said, "So that’s how it is. It is a sphere and the bottom layer is the first layer. The subsequent layers of the net from the first layer are layers of a sphere. The deeper I go into the sphere, the closer I get to the core."
"But the core of the sphere is also the surface of the sphere. How does that work? Doesn’t that make the sphere have infinite volume?"
"What should I call this? I think it is hypervolume. Or is it 4-dimensional?"
Thanks to the spark of power, he could finally see the incomprehensible material in its entirety. Unfortunately, his mind was still too weak to understand what he was seeing.
He had so many questions that he wanted answers to because of what he saw. He was so desperate for answers that he called out to Astra, saying, "Hey! What are you?"
His voice rang out like a loud bell in the silence of the darkness as he said, "What sort of existence are you? What is that net? How can the innermost core of a sphere, which should have zero surface area, have all the surface area of the sphere?"
