Chapter 1055: 4-D Prototype.

He knew that if he were to use 3-D Supreme Metacs to anchor the 4-D prototype, he would destroy the Supreme Metacs exactly the same way the Divine Metacs used to create Supreme Metacs were destroyed. It would be a great loss, but it was a sacrifice that he was willing to make for the slimmest chance of creating the prototype of a 4-dimensional Metac.

As for whether failure would lead to his death, he didn’t care at this point. The presence of the cyclops in the most secret place of his existence made it very difficult for him to worry about the consequences of failure.

So he didn’t hesitate to start using the Supreme Metacs to anchor the cubes. He started at the center with the Devouring Supreme Metac.

The first cube had a dimension of 1,1,1, so it needed 3 units of commonality to anchor it. The three units of commonality were taken from the Fenrir.

The commonalities were not ripped out of Fenrir, though. Instead, the parts of Fenrir containing the needed commonalities were forced to fuse with the first cube.

For now, this wasn’t a problem. The main problem arose when the second cube was anchored.

The second cube had a dimension of 2,2,2, so it needed 6 units of commonality for it to be anchored. As it turned out, Fenrir(9,9,1), which had a total of 19 units of commonality, had the 6 units needed to anchor the second cube. So Loki forced Fenrir to fuse with the second cube too.

The problem was that Fenrir was one Supreme Metac and couldn’t be at two different places fusing with two different cubes. It was now like a piece of rubber being stretched between two points.

Fenrir wanted to rectify the pressure of being forced to fuse with the two cubes by pulling the two cubes together. It wanted to collapse the structure from within.

Unfortunately, the entire system had been designed to be immune to collapse. So, even though it was tough, Fenrir had to allow itself to be stretched and contorted to fit its purpose.

This distortion threw Fenrir’s internal structure and rules out of order and rendered it impotent. In exchange, the first and second cubes had been anchored, so Loki counted this as a success.

Since everything was going well, Loki continued with the plan. He had Fenrir fuse with the third cube to supply it with the 9 units of commonality that it needed.

So far, he had used up 18 units of commonality within Fenrir, so there was 1 unit left. He had this one unit fuse with the fourth cube.

By this point, Fenrir had been tossed and twisted so badly that it had become unrecognizable, but Loki didn’t care. With that same look of determination and madness in his eyes, he sacrificed the Freedom Supreme Metac to anchor the rest of the fourth cube and part of the fifth cube.

Again and again, he sacrificed his Supreme Metacs for the greater cause. He didn’t stop until the last Supreme Metac was used up.

By the time the last of the 18th Supreme Metac was used as an anchor, all 270 units of commonality that they possessed had been used to anchor the 13th cube.

From the first cube to the thirteenth cube, he needed 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39, which is a total of 273 units of commonality. He only had 270 units, so the 13th cube wasn’t complete yet. It needed 3 more units of commonality.

As he looked at what he had made, he nodded his head in satisfaction and said, "This is very good. The next step is to link the volume of the cubes, but I don’t know how to do that yet. If I could link the volumes of the cubes, then I will be halfway into creating the 4-dimensional Metac."

What he has done so far is to create the minimum requirement for the 4-dimensional Metac, which is to set up its framework. He still needs to connect the separate cubes into one. Then he will need to connect the core of the cube to the surface of the cube and so on and so forth.

So far, the situation has been good, though. For one, the prototype he has created is stable, so it is at no risk of being destroyed, and he can continue to build it in the future.

Even though it is in an unfinished state, it is so stable that he can keep it in an unfinished state indefinitely. During this state, he can complete the 13th cube, create the 14th cube, continue to add more Supreme Metacs to it, and anchor the 14th cube.

He believes that there is no limit to the size of the 4-dimensional prototype. He can continue to help it grow until he masters how to give it infinite volume.

This benefit is only a matter of its potential. The 4-dimensional prototype also has other benefits in terms of volume creation.

When he had 18 Supreme Metacs, they had a combined total of 270 units of commonality and were using it to create a total volume of 930 units. But now, the volume of the complete 12th cube is 1,728 units.

From 930 units to 1,728, the jump is 798 units or an increase of 85.81%. The efficiency of utilization of the commonality has also increased from 3.44 volume per commonality to 6.4 volume per commonality.

This is just the benefit from one cube, though. If he can connect the volume of the 1st to the 12th volume, he will have access to 1, 8, 27, 64, 125, 216, 343, 512, 729, 1000, 1331, 1728, which is 6,084 units.

6,084 units is a far cry from the 930 units that he was getting before or the 1,728 that he is getting now. So the difference in potential is stark clear.
