Chapter 1072: Armored Knight.

He had become the thing he hated the most when he was in the Sea of Worlds. He had become a pair of loft eyes looking down on the world with indifference.

As his spirit roamed the Sae of Worlds, It was as if a cold and heavy blanket had been draped over the people his eyes fell on. The blanket wrapped around them tightly, holding them in place. Even their thoughts were forced to stop, frozen in their minds.

"This is boring. If they are just going to stand in place like that, this spying won’t be interesting."

"And this is consuming my Energy. No wonder Dao Lords don’t spend all day staring at people. It isn’t worth it."

As he said this, he withdrew his spirit from the Sea of Worlds. Once his spirit retreated past the invisible obstacle, his vision of the Sea of Worlds was blurred again.

However, he could still see every world in the Sea of Worlds. The worlds were just too big to be hidden from his eyes.

Nodding his head in satisfaction, he said, "At this rate, I am inclined to believe that the Sea of Worlds is really an egg or at least a spherical object, and the third heaven is the shell of the egg."

"As for the third heaven, I don’t think it is supposed to be cracked like this. This might be because of that ancient war."

Then his voice became full of surprise as he said, "And what is up with the power of flight? Why can’t I fly?"

He jumped up and down trying to fly, but a terrible gravity pulled him back down. When jumping didn’t work, he used his divine spirit to push off the ground.

He even diverted all of the divinity from the spark of power to his Divine Spirit Stat to help him fly. Unfortunately, he still couldn’t fly. His body was always pulled to the white ground.

"What am I missing? There was gravity in the Sea of Worlds too, but I was able to negate it with the power of my Mind Palace. Is the gravity here too strong, or is this just like the second heaven where flight is banned in general?"

While he was trying to figure out how to fly, something began approaching him from the distance. This thing, whatever it was, was carrying a lot of divinity, which drew his attention, making him look in the direction of the incoming object.

When he looked up, he saw a black armored knight wielding a spear and rushing over towards him. His first instinct was to use the Power Identification Ability, which he did.

The Power Identification Ability failed, so the feedback of the investigation was a question mark. Even when he put all of his free divinity into perception to enhance the power of the Power Identification Ability, all he saw were question marks.

The only thing he was able to determine with the Power Identification Ability was that whoever was coming was at least rank 10 and was way out of his league. So he turned around and ran.

But just as he managed to turn around, he saw the armored fellow flash above him and smash into the ground ahead of him. All of his 272 units of free divinity were in his perception, so he saw this clearly. And even though his mind was slow for having removed the free divinity from it, he was able to understand what this meant.

His heart sank as he thought, ’I can’t escape.’

The armored fellow said with mirth, "No, you cannot escape."

Immediately he heard this, he withdrew all of his thoughts from Fenrir into the spark of power. This is an ability he gained after he turned the spark of power into a 4-D prototype.

As soon as he withdrew his mind, the armored figure chuckled as it asked, "Why is your mind blank? I hope I haven’t shocked you into a stupor."

Seeing this, Loki quickly projected some thoughts into Fenrir and used it to say, "Who are you?"

As a Dao Lord, his mind and spirit now reside within his Supreme Metacs. He can split his mind between the Supreme Metacs or concentrate them into one.

Right now, he has chosen to hide the bulk of his active mind in the spark of power. He felt safe doing this because it is encrypted by Entropy. Since Entropy is disorder, it should be impossible for anyone to tell what he is really thinking even if they can hear his thoughts.

As for the Devouring Supreme Metac, he is using it as a mouthpiece where sanitized thoughts will be sent. It is exactly how Dao Lords control avatars with their true body.

The armored knight read his thoughts and sensed no emotions within them, making him tilt his head to say, "Why are you not afraid of me?"

Loki replied, "Should I be afraid of you?"

"Yes, you should," came the reply.

Then the armored knight spread its arms wide and said, "You definitely should be afraid of me. After all, I am one of the people responsible for all of this destruction that you see."

"Even if that isn’t good enough, just the fact that I can pinch you to death with the finger of this avatar of mine is enough to warrant some fear. And fear is a smart reaction. As long as you don’t let fear overwhelm you, clouding your judgment, it is good for your health as it indicates that you’re smart enough to recognize danger when you see it."

Loki, with a calm, detached voice, said, "So you must be the guardian. It is nice to finally meet you."

"Hmmm. You’re still not afraid of me. How peculiar," the guardian said, ignoring his greeting.

"At first, I thought your lack of fear was because you were ignorant of my identity. Now I am not so sure."
