Chapter 1106: The Dragon Challenger.

Tepid Scholar, Martial Will, and Heavenly Eye knew how much Black Chain hated dragons, so they expected him to rave and rant about hoe Heavenly Eye had been sheltering them. Then they expected him to demand for the extinction of the dragons.

So when Black Chain didn’t do any of that, they were a little bit surprised. But when they remembered how Black Chain was down on his luck and was in no place to make demands, they figured that his behaviour was reasonable.

Only Loki wasn’t thinking too much about anything at the moment. He followed along eager to see how a large world would become a super world. This would be the first time he would be witnessing something like this, so he was looking forward to it.

Because of how much work had already been done on the large worlds, Heavenly Eye didn’t need them to do anything. So they just stood by and watched as the world advanced.

When the large worlds began the advancement, nothing seemed to happen on their surfaces. At least, the inhabitants of the world were clueless about what was going on and didn’t notice anything different.

Only the world king noticed the changes to the core of the world in the third dimension and to the world shield outside the world immediately after the advancement began. It was later on that the mortal inhabitants noticed the drastic changes that the world had undergone.

In the third dimension, the multicolored crystal mountain serving as the heart of the world in the core of the world turned into a golden crystal gem and began glowing brighter, which caused the size of the Sun of the world to increase.

On the outside, the solid crystal shield that served as the defensive wall around the world melted into a liquid form. Then the liquid form melted into a gaseous form.

Next, the gaseous form of the world turned black and porous. Finally, the black gas began moving, whipping the whole barrier of still gas into a barrier of black wind.

Compared to the solid crystal, the defense now looked flimsy. After all, a solid wall looked more reliable than a wall of moving air. But the Dao Lords, who sensed a hint of Entropy in the black wind, knew that this kind of barrier had become more dangerous to them.

After these changes took place, a new change appeared within the newly advanced super world. The sole rank 8 dragon in the super world decided that this was the right moment to advance to rank 9.

When they noticed this, Heavenly Eye said, "This is no longer a problem, right? After all, there are already more than ten Dao Lords, and the Domain has already been sealed."

Based on the content of her sentence, it would seem that she was asking for permission to let these three dragons advance. But this was not the case at all.

At least Loki didn’t think she was asking Black Chain for permission with the way she was looking at him provocatively. In fact, he thought she was picking a fight.

Unfortunately or fortunately, Black Chain didn’t rise to the occasion. The Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect kept his eyes fixed on the super world without sparing her words any attention.

At the end of the day, the world king failed to form their Supreme Metac. The second rank 8 world king in the second super world also failed.

As for the final rank 8 dragon king, he survived. But this was only because he didn’t attempt to make a Supreme Metac and advance at all.

The dragon king that survived was a large dragon sitting in an open-walled castle on top of the highest mountain in the world. He had three pairs of wings on his back, four white horns with red tattoos on them, and red scales all over his body with patches of orange sprinkled across the scales.

When Martial Will saw this sole surviving dragon, he said with a nod of satisfaction, "This one is not bad. It seems to know that it is still lacking."

"I would expect it to know that it was lacking after two of its peers tried and failed to advance," Tepid Scholar said with a scoff. "In fact, I would be appalled if it watched two people die and still failed to realize that maybe it wasn’t ready. It would be too stupid in that case."

Heavenly Eye also said with scorn, "These dragons are too proud. They were so sure that I was the one holding them back all along. Look at how well they performed after I gave them the opportunity."

"They looked down on the disciples of my sect, calling them slaves. They are not wrong, though. My disciples are indeed my slaves. But my disciples also have the opportunity to see what a Supreme Metac should look like and learn from the best."

"These dragons didn’t know what a successful Supreme Metac should be like or how it should operate, yet they thought that I was the one preventing them from achieving their full potential. What fools!"

"They wasted all of the resources they have been gorging on for so long. Here I thought I would be able to kill them and reap their Supreme Metacs if they truly succeeded."

Upon hearing this, Tepid Scholar laughed and said, "This reminds me of that dragon that successfully became a Dao Lord."

"The dragon could have survived, but it was too proud. As soon as it arrived in the third heaven, it began shouting my name and challenging me to fight."

"I didn’t know where it was after it ascended, so it could have gotten away from me. But it had to announce where it was and didn’t run away when I came for it. You know how that fight ended."

Many Dao Lords couldn’t hold back their laughter and chuckles when they heard the story. It was extra funny to them because they could easily imagine it happening.
