Chapter 1199: The Domain Power Metac.

He wanted to see if he could make an inexpensive way to lend his disciples his Domain Power as soon as possible, so he got to work immediately he had the idea. Even if he didn’t want to work, Black Chain’s constant braying about how the Olympic Sect was a liar and Apex God’s incessant propaganda about how the Apex God was a good sect were enough to motivate him.

He couldn’t allow Black Chain to succeed any more in tarnishing his reputation, and he couldn’t allow the Apex God to get away with cheating so easily. So he refused to stop working.

Unfortunately, motivation only guaranteed hard work. It didn’t guarantee success.

His attempt to lend mortals some of his Domain Power failed on every attempt, mainly because he couldn’t turn his disciples into his avatars.

So far, he only had two ways to use his Domain Power: either through his true body or a true avatar. Since his disciples couldn’t be his true body, they had to become his avatars.

Unfortunately, he didn’t know how to turn his disciples into his avatars. He also reckoned that if he succeeded in turning them into avatars, the process would be irreversible and would kill them, making him lose his disciples forever.

Therefore, the challenge was how to turn his disciples into his avatars temporarily without killing them. After that, he still would have to make sure this kind of avatar could use his Domain Power.

There were just too many problems and uncertainties, so he gave up on that idea. He also tried lending his avatar to his disciples in a way that would empower them, but that led to another round of failures.

The idea of empowering his disciples by lending them his avatars couldn’t work because he couldn’t create a channel for lending his Domain Power to his disciples through his avatar.

This made him shake his head and say, ’I’m not surprised it failed, to be honest. If I can’t transfer my Domain Power through my true body, what makes me think I can transfer it to them through an avatar?’

’But this does give me an idea? What if I help them lend Domain Power through the divine constellation?’

As it turned out, this idea could work. He wasn’t sure yet if it would work. But he gave up because his disciples needed something that connected them to the divine constellation.

He had something that could connect them to the divine constellation: a Divine Position. But it was too expensive to make, so he threw the idea away.

’It is like going to the start and trying to solve the problem by reinventing the problem,’ he said in annoyance.

’Besides, any Dao Lord could create a Divine Position. So if it works, other Dao Lords would be able to copy it.’

’What I need is a method of sharing power that is cheap and only I can do. How hard can it be to come up with something like that?’ he asked in frustration.

He was being sarcastic, of course. The question wasn’t easy, and it would be difficult to find something that only he could do.

But the weirdest thing was that he got an answer as soon as he asked. This was because the answer had been looking at him right in the face all along.

Specifically, the answer to the question was the Hunting Form Metac and its ability to create wolf manifestations. So it had been him and had been with him all along.

As he thought about the possibility of this plan working, his eyes lit up, producing solar flares, as he thought, ’That’s right. The Hunting Form Metac can create wolf manifestations and transfer my power to them. What if I create a Branch Metac that converts my disciples into those wolf manifestations or allows them to borrow the power of my wolf manifestations?’

After creating and twisting some law fragments together, he managed to create the Domain Power Metac, a Branch Metac that lets his disciples borrow his Domain Power. It can do this because the Domain Power Metac is a mortal version of his wolf manifestations.

The source of the power was his Devouring Supreme Metac and his true body, and the Domain Power Metac could be created as many times as possible, so he didn’t need to create a Divine Position for all of his disciples.

This solved the problem of the process being expensive. But he still had other problems to solve.

The second problem was that his disciples’ bodies couldn’t handle the power of the Domain Power Metac. To solve this problem, he converted the Domain Power Metac from a Branch Metac into a Core Metac.

As a Core Metac, the Domain Power Metac would fuse with their Energy Well, helping them to advance. This meant the Domain Power was now part of their existence, so they could use the power without going beyond their limit.

The advantage was that this also solved the problems of the Domain Power being too heavy for their Energy Well and being too expensive to use. But it came at three costs.

The first cost was that mortals could have only one Core Metac. So if they switched to the Domain Power Metac, they couldn’t use the Root of Life Metac.

This meant that he would lose the ability to take or grant lifespan to his disciples. It was already a great cost, but there was more.

The second cost was that his disciples might not be able to create Life Abilities. Life Abilities might affect the function and stability of the Domain Power Metac, so he had to consider blocking the creation of Life Abilities.

But if he blocked Life Abilities, his disciples wouldn’t be able to advance to Rank 3. Without Life Abilities, his disciples couldn’t become divine beings either.

The last cost was that he would bear most of the cost of using the Domain Power Metac, including the energy and entropy costs.
