THE GOD EATER

Chapter 1240: Have To Fight.

Chapter 1240: Have To Fight.

For a minute, he was tempted to just destroy the three super worlds and be done with them. He was also tempted to use the secret trump card of this avatar that he had kept hidden for so long.

While he was thinking about what to do, Heavenly Eye appeared in the sky above him, saying, "That’s not good sportsmanship, trying to remove my pathway."

"So those Wills snitched to you, huh?" Loki replied. Then he said with a sneer, "I hope they are prepared for the consequences of turning against me."

Shaking her head, Heavenly Eye said, "You don’t have to do this. We don’t have to fight."

"You didn’t have to become a Dao Lord. Yet, here you are," Loki said, scoffing in disdain.

Seeing as he wasn’t willing to entertain her, she decided to change the subject.

"I came for a truce," Heavenly said calmly.

"Oh. A truce? What do you have in mind?" he asked with a smile.

In response, she said, "We will not try to kill each other in the upper realm or sabotage each other in the lower realm."

"I refuse," Loki said without hesitation.

"Why? If I may ask," she asked, her voice still calm.

"No reason," he said nonchalantly. "If there has to be a reason, it is that I love sabotaging you."

"I see. In that case, I hope you’re willing to pay the price for your foolishness," she said before closing the rift and leaving.

As he watched her leave, his eyes narrowed, and he thought, ’I bet this is the calm before the storm. I wonder what she has in store for me.’

’For her sake, I hope what she had prepared is at least up to par with what I have,’ he thought with a grin.

It was true that he liked sabotaging her. He didn’t lie about that. But that’s not the main reason he refused to agree to the truce.

The first reason he disregarded her offer was that he didn’t trust her, and he didn’t trust her offer. The second reason was that her offer wasn’t good enough.

Even if she didn’t try to cheat, her truce not to attack him only meant she wouldn’t be directly involved in any attack against him. It didn’t mean she couldn’t help his enemies indirectly.

The third reason was that she wasn’t the only threat he had to deal with in the upper realm. He had too many enemies to count, and she wasn’t the most powerful one.

He had Martial Will, the Gemini younglings, and the Gemini race as a whole to worry about. So even if she made an offer not to be involved in any way with his enemies and stuck with it, the absence of one more enemy like her wouldn’t change his situation much.

But perhaps the most important reason he turned her down was that he had to fight her. He had to sabotage her efforts and the efforts of every member of his Divine Court to expand their Domain in the lower realm as long as it threatened his position.

It is all fun and games until someone wants to usurp him. If he doesn’t sabotage her, she will take his Divine Spark from him, which will most likely lead to his death since his life is anchored to it.

So he had many reasons not to accept her truce. But he didn’t need to explain himself to her. He felt that telling her that he liked sabotaging her was good enough for her.

He didn’t even lie to her about it, which was a sign of respect from him. In fact, he also loved to sabotage the other Dao Lords and had been doing something in that regard for a while now.

He had been sabotaging other Dao Lords, from stealing their divine beings to telling the Gemini younglings that Black Chain was going to be a useless partner.

But what he wanted most was to sabotage their Domains and eliminate their sects. He hadn’t been able to do so until now because all of their sects and pathways were entrenched in their worlds.

Their pathways were so dug in that the Will of the world couldn’t remove them when pressured. This was why he contemplated killing 350 billion people two months ago.

He eventually gave up on that idea because it would open his sect to a level of retaliation he couldn’t defend against. But this time was different.

This time, Heavenly Eye’s Domain was just built, and she hadn’t had time to expand her sect in the world. After suffering a loss from the three super worlds, he wasn’t willing to give up on this opportunity.

His gaze sharpened as he appeared in the Alpha Peak world. This was the first large world to become a super world after the demise of the ancient cultivators and the destruction of everything related to them, including ancient super worlds.

The Alpha Peak World was part of the only four super worlds in the Sea of Worlds for a very long time. Of these four super worlds, Heavenly Eye had Domains on two of them. She didn’t have a Domain on the Alpha Peak World, though.

But as recent events have shown, Heavenly Eye was keen to change the status quo and establish a Domain on Alpha Peak. In fact, she had already established the Domain, and it was already in the process of being constructed.

As soon as he arrived, he said, "Remove her Domain now."

His voice came out as a clap of thunder, shaking the world. He also activated the Devouring Ability and created a black force field that covered the entire world.

He was standing outside the super world, so the black force field fell onto it like a curtain being draped over a ball. And even though his avatar was as small as a three-story building, the black force field he created was large enough to cover the whole world.
