Chapter 1245: Last Chance To Kill Ragnarok.
Chapter 1245: Last Chance To Kill Ragnarok.
Martial Will was incredibly valiant in battle. His body radiated power and unrivaled manliness. If not for the black forcefield constantly stripping away his skin and flesh, he would be more valiant.
Eventually, the impact of all of the skin and flesh he lost came home to roost. The black forcefield had been stripping him of his lifespan all along.
Each layer of skin that he lost cost him 5,697,864 years of lifespan. So it was as if his existence was being unraveled. But the worst part was the Entropy.
Normally, he should take on one unit of Entropy for each year of lifespan he lost. But for some reason, he was taking 26 times the Entropy. This meant he lost 148,144,464 units of Entropy.
For a while, the impact of Entropy didn’t show up. Martial Will only felt an impending doom that urged him to escape or crush Loki quickly. He chose to crush Loki.
Because Loki’s body was weak, it was easy for him to crush Loki. Unfortunately, all of the lifespan that Loki used to heal himself came from the lifespan that he stole from Martial Will. So the only thing that Loki had lost in this battle was gaining Entropy.
But even Heavenly Eye wasn’t sure whether Loki was gaining Entropy. This was because, as far as she could tell, his Entropy wasn’t increasing at all.
What he didn’t know was that there was a big chunk of Loki that she couldn’t see. That invisible part of his existence was responsible for his abnormal strength. It was also where most of the Entropy he was taking on was going.
However, even without seeing the invisible part of Loki’s existence. She could extrapolate from what she could see that the situation wasn’t right.
Her eyes were grave as she thought, ’He is stronger than usual, and he doesn’t seem to be taking on Entropy. At this rate, Martial Will will lose.’
She didn’t tell her teammates, though. Instead, she said, "The fight between them is about to be over. If you want to take a chunk out of Ragnarok, this might be your only chance to do so."
She had sworn not to lie to them, and what she just said was not a lie. She also rushed forward to join the battle, just to show how urgent it was to fight Ragnarok.
Because of the oath, her teammates believed her. The fact that she was also rushing into battle motivated them, so they rushed into battle.
"Leave some for me," Sword Maestro called out as he plunged into the black sphere.
Heavenly Eye was the first to enter the black sphere. Then, one by one, her partners in crime entered the black sphere. Their figures disappeared as if they had fallen into a pit.
Only Tepid Scholar and Heavenly Eye didn’t enter the black sphere. Tepid Scholar didn’t follow the crowd because he had no interest in doing dirty work.
Tepid Scholar was only interested in seeing Loki dead. This Dao Lord of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect didn’t particularly care about who would kill Loki.
As for Heavenly Eye, she didn’t think about entering the black sphere at all. In fact, her figure had moved further away from the black sphere. The Heavenly Eye that entered the black sphere was an illusion of hers.
Within the black sphere, the fighting had stopped. Martial Will was standing over Loki’s body. He had the advantage in height and had been winning all along, but he no longer had any interest in fighting.
Instead, he was looking at his hand. He was looking at his hands because his body was fragmenting and turning into dust.
As he watched, his hands flaked away, turning into dust. He had more lifespan and should be able to heal any injury. But his lifespan couldn’t heal this injury.
For obvious reasons, his body could no longer operate or do work. It could no longer utilize or transform energy. His body had reached its limit and was breaking down.
"Is this the end?" he asked out loud.
In response, Loki said, "Do you know why I called myself Inevitable Ragnarok?"
He had sroopes laughing at the invisible joke. Instead, he became serious, and his voice became solemn.
Without waiting for Martial Will to answer his question, he said, "I am inevitable because I can be destroyed or defeated, but not both. Because of this, I always come back."
"At first, I believed that I should be Invincible. Or even Indomitable. But I didn’t pick either one because that’s not my purpose."
"My purpose is not to be beaten again and again, unable to be permanently defeated. My purpose is to return stronger from every defeat until I defeat and destroy my enemies."
"I am to be Ragnarok, the end of ages. The end of gods and worlds. Therefore, I am inevitable. I am the end that will always come and cannot be stopped."
Martial Will didn’t understand. He looked at Loki in confusion as he asked, "What are you talking about? You appeared suddenly in the Blessed Heaven World. You have no past in the Sea of Worlds."
"You fought well and resisted, as is your right," Loki said. "But the end is predetermined. I will win, and you will die."
"Who are you?" Martial Will asked. "Or who were you before you appeared in the Sea of Worlds?"
"Didn’t you hear me? I am the Inevitable Ragnarok," Loki said, standing up.
By standing up, he came within reach of Martial Will’s hands. Martial Will raised his four fists and slammed them into Loki’s face.
But his body exploded into a cloud of black dust before he could hit Loki. The dust fell to the ground as the black force field couldn’t devour it.
As for the five Supreme Metacs that Martial Will left behind, Loki took them. He didn’t need them, but he wasn’t one to waste things. So the black force field wrapped around the five Supreme Metacs and brought them into his body.
