Chapter 1246: You Summoned Me.

The Dao Lords who had just entered had witnessed the whole thing. They saw Martial Will shatter to dust and saw Loki pocket the Supreme Metacs.

This wasn’t what they expected. They expected to come late and see Loki die, not the other way around.

Martial Will’s death made them uncertain of their chances of victory. None of them wanted to go up to fight. Two of them even stepped back to get out of range of the black sphere.

Unfortunately for them, this was a battle that they had to fight. The black force field gripped them tightly, preventing them from leaving, while disintegrating their existence a little at a time.

Black Chain, Sword Maestro, Harem King, Immovable Mountain, Carefree Immortal, and Green Fire stood opposite a single enemy. But none of them wanted to fight anymore.

So Loki cocked his head and said, "Are you afraid? That’s normal."

"You’re allowed to be afraid. But you must fight. If you don’t fight, your death will be in vain."

"We can talk about this," Green Fire said.

She was a small green woman with hair like fire. Loki looked at her, examining her from head to toe.

Then he said, "What’s there to talk about?"

"You asked for this. I didn’t want to come. I didn’t want to fight, but you summoned me by force, so here I am."

He sneered as he said, "Bask in the success of your plan, knowing that at least you succeeded in forcing me to show up and weakening me to a level I haven’t been in for a long time. Even though you had to work together to achieve it, it is still impressive."

Then he beckoned to them with one hand and said, "Come at me. Let’s fight to our heart’s content before we die."

"Is this the Ragnarok who you said was about to die?" Black Chain said to Heavenly Eye. "What is going on with him?"

When he didn’t get a response from Heavenly Eye, he looked around for her. But he didn’t see her anywhere.

"That bitch," Black Chain said, looking around for Heavenly Eye. "She tricked us."

There was the possibility that Heavenly Eye was not present because she had died just as she entered the black sphere. But Black Chain didn’t believe that at all. Unfortunately, it was too late to do anything about the deceit.

Just then, Sword Maestro removed the large claymore on his back and leveled it against Loki. With the claymore pointed at Loki, he said, "I don’t know what’s going on at all."

"This all seems like a dream. No, it is a nightmare. It shouldn’t be possible, and yet, it has happened. Nevertheless, I still have my sword."

"With my sword, every obstacle will be cleared," he said as he rushed at Loki.

On his way to Loki, he activated the Sword Enhancement Divine Ability of the Sword Dao, enhancing the power of the sword in his hand with his Divine Spirit. This sword began to vibrate because of the enhancement of the Sword Dao.

He also activated the True Damage Ability of the Killing Pathway, which would nullify every defense and make sure that each of his hits would damage the enemy by at least 1 point. This caused the sword to gain a red sheen.

Now the sword was coated in red and glowing. When Sword Maestro got within reach of Loki, he swung the sword in a wide arc, causing a red streak of light to appear in the darkness.

The red arc of light struck Loki’s shoulder and went through him, splitting him in half. Sword Maestro was surprised by this outcome and used his superb skills to prevent him from falling over.

He had expected a lot of resistance, so he had swung that sword with all of his power. But there had been no resistance whatsoever, causing him to overswing and nearly fall over.

Instead of falling, he followed the momentum of his swing and used it to turn a complete 360 degrees, bringing the sword around for another hit.

Loki didn’t dodge, or rather, he couldn’t dodge. His body was too slow, so the sword struck him again.

This time, the sword struck his head and cut him from head to torso, splitting him in half. Sword Maestro was quickly encouraged and continued to hack at Loki, cutting him to pieces.

Because of the success of his attacks, Sword Maestro’s voice was full of hope as he shouted, "Quick, his body is weak. We might be able to kill him before he can kill us."

The shout spurred some of the Dao Lords into action, and they rushed at him. Then they surrounded him and began hitting him with every manner of attack.

His body was deformed and crushed over and over again. He was like a rag being trampled beneath their feet. At least, on the surface, they were making progress.

But not all of them were motivated enough to fight for that glimmer of hope. One of them, namely Harem King, wasn’t interested in fighting.

Harem King chose to sit on the ground and say, "I guess this is what I get for being greedy for more Domains."

When she remembered how Heavenly Eye had recruited them by offering to let them establish their Domains on her three new super worlds and any of the old super worlds, she could only shake her head in pity.

Heavenly Eye had said, "I want us to grow stronger together. All I want in exchange is that we fight together to kill Ragnarok."

"I don’t want to kill him because I covet his position as Mountain Lord. I want to kill him because he won’t allow us to grow to our maximum power. He is an enemy to us all, so we should work together to eliminate him."

"Not only is his sect thriving, which will put us out of business soon, but he also stole our divine beings. So he has offended a lot of us and should be killed for it."
