Chapter 1282: Ancient Vs Modern Cultivators.

Frowning, he said, "It seems ancient cultivators and modern cultivators aren’t that different. Aside from Metacs and spiritual energy, they are very similar."

"The similarities seem too much for a coincidence. Are cultivation systems all similar throughout the universe?"

Shaking her head, she said, "That’s not true. The reality of the situation was that Metacs were used to make up for what we lacked in our cultivation system when we lost spiritual energy."

"At Rank 4, while Nascent Soul cultivators could fly, those on the pure path were stuck on the ground. At the end of the day, they could reach Rank 9, with 9 units in all their stats. Unfortunately, that was their limit."

"Even at Rank 9, the pure path cultivators couldn’t fly. This, combined with the fact that their cultivation system was incomplete, meant that they could only be eliminated over time."

"My point is that there were a lot of cultivation systems from those days, and the ancient cultivation system that won was the one that had a way to become a Dao Lord."

"Therefore, I’m sure that other Domains like the Sea of Worlds have different cultivation systems that will depend on the available resources and methods to become Dao Lords. Yet, the guardian had called the Metac system superior to all of them.

"He claimed that no matter the cultivation system, Metacs could be tweaked to adapt to it and make it stronger because Metacs are the essence of heaven and earth. I agree with him if only for the fact that the foundation of Metacs are law fragments which are one-dimensional substrates of reality present in every part of the universe and can be used to build basically anything from two-dimensional Metacs to three-dimensional Supreme Metacs."

"Maybe it can even be used to build four dimensional Metacs, whatever those are. But if Metacs can reach four-dimensional, in my humble opinion, I believe that they are worthy of being the best cultivation system in the universe."

"After thinking about how they managed to destroy our ancient cultivators, I have to agree that their Metacs are superior. Plus, using Metacs has helped us become better breeding stock for them, which wasn’t something the ancient cultivation system could do, so I call it a win for the Gemini," Loki said, chuckling.

He was making a joke to change the subject from four-dimensional Metacs, but Heavenly Eye couldn’t laugh at all. Whenever she thought about her daughter, she always felt dread because she knew how cunning and difficult she was to deal with.

Besides, being used as breeding stock wasn’t pleasant, so Heavenly Eye didn’t find it funny. She said, "Anyway, that’s what I know about ancient cultivation."

"What about the cultivation level after Dao Lord? What do you know about that?" he asked, unwilling to let go of this opportunity just yet.

"I don’t know," she said immediately.

Sighing, Loki said, "I guess that all that remains is you telling me about every kind of cultivation system that was used in the Sea of Worlds you know about."

"Please start from the beginning to the end, detailing their progression and abilities the same way you did for the main ancient cultivators."

By now, Heavenly Eye was catching on to the fact that Loki’s interest in ancient cultivation wasn’t a passing fancy. Her eyes began to gleam with cunning as a myriad of thoughts and schemes went through her mind.

"What do you want to know exactly?" she asked with irritation. "If you tell me what you want to know, we can skip a lot of chatter and save ourselves some time by going straight to the point."

But Loki smiled and said, "I don’t mind wasting my time."

Then he said, "I am ready when you’re ready. Take it from the top."

"If I didn’t know any better, I would think that you have found a living ancient cultivator and are trying to learn more about them so that you can deal with it," she said, fishing for information.

But Loki only smiled and said, "From the top, please."

Heavenly Eye snorted in displeasure, but she did as she was asked and said, "Every kind of ancient cultivation system had something in common, and that was to rely on spiritual energy to grow."

"It could be growing the body or growing the mind. But no one was relying on anything else other than the abundant and free energy available in nature."

She spent a long time giving him what he wanted. During the process, he was making deals with other Dao Lords.

He used the pretense of bribing them not to expose his scam with the Olympic Sect to the whole world or bribing them not to attack him for massacring all of the mortals he killed earlier.

Even if they didn’t have any Supreme Metacs he needed, he still found a way to make a deal with them and ensured one of the Supreme Metacs he made ended up in their hands.
