Chapter 1281: Minor And Great Divine Abilities.

Her tone was dismissive as she said, "The amount of world essence they got from killing world guardians was little compared to killing worlds. It was probably around 0.1%. But it was better than nothing."

"Plus, this method was usually safer than invading and attacking an entire world. So it was a viable alternative to invading worlds."

Then she shrugged and said, "Either way, the method of advancement didn’t really matter. World guardians and world killers at the Divine Transformation stage both had Domain Power, which allowed them to enhance their power with the power of the world."

"I remember reading that Divine Transformation cultivators were stronger the higher the quality of the surrounding spiritual energy was. So I believe that some of their power was also dependent on extra spiritual energy."

"Ancient cultivators called the techniques that allowed a cultivator to borrow the power of the world Divine Abilities. The ones Divine Transformation cultivators used were called Minor Divine Abilities. They are similar to our Divine Metacs."

"As for the Divine Abilities that Dao Initiates and Dao Lord cultivators used, they called them Great Divine Abilities. These correspond to our Supreme Metacs and are what we call Main Divine Abilities."

"So world killers didn’t need Divine Positions to become divine beings? I didn’t expect that," Loki said nonchalantly as if he was pulling her attention back to an important part.

"Yes, it was impressive. Unfortunately, that was only possible because of the special state of the Sea of Worlds at that time," she said, shaking her head in pity.

"What do you mean? Loki asked, his heart sinking.

Shaking her head, she said, "The Sea of Worlds was full of life and high-grade energy back then. Spiritual energy was just the lowest expression of that abundance."

"There were more potent kinds of energy in the environment that were responsible for the spontaneous birth of worlds. World killers could absorb this potent energy during their advancement, helping their mental worlds to become real worlds."

"So the world essence they absorbed was only an initiator that helped their mental world absorb that higher energy. Without the higher energy, such a feat of becoming a world was no longer possible."

’Damn it,’ Loki thought inwardly.

Outwardly, he said, "The Sea of Worlds has really lost a lot."

Hearing this, Heavenly Eye took this opportunity to say, "Don’t worry, we will recover what was lost when we get a Domain King."

"With your current performance, you might become the Domain King, and your ascension might be soon. How great would it be to help the Sea of Worlds recover?" she said, a teasing smile playing on her lips.

But Loki chose to play dumb and say, "Me? Help the Sea of Worlds recover? How can I manage that? I’m not even a Mountain Lord yet."

Seeing as he was determined to deny it to the bitter end, she decided to move on, saying, "Forget it. You’re no fun."

"Back to Divine Transformation cultivators. World guardians and world killers were similar in some ways. They both had divine bodies and could heal most injuries. But there were certain differences between them due to their source of power."

"World guardians relied on the world and the mortals using their cultivation techniques. They could be weakened easily, which caused their strength to fluctuate."

"On the other hand, the strength of world killers was their Cave Heaven. As long as their Cave Heaven wasn’t destroyed, their strength was stable."

"Since the weakness of world guardians was so clear and easily accessible, it became easier for world killers to kill them. Plus, world killers could still grow stronger by killing their world guardian counterparts."

"But world guardians also liked killing world killers since it was the same as sacrificing a world to their home world. So both sides usually hated each other and would start fighting at the slightest opportunity for victory."

"World killers also did this. But most of their power came from growing their worlds."

Sighing in pity again, she said, "Another good thing about that era was that world killers didn’t need to do much to grow stronger."

"They could absorb that potent energy that worlds absorb and slowly become stronger over time. I’m not sure, but that energy was either called Neutral Energy or Natural Energy."

"Anyway, world kings had it easy as Divine Transformation cultivators. They didn’t have to worry about someone weakening them by massacring a bunch of mortals, and they could grow stronger over time without much effort."

"Then, when their world reached 10 billion square kilometers in size, they became super worlds and gained a Divine Spark. So the path to becoming Rank 9 was open to them."

"As for world guardians, the only way for them to reach Rank 9 was to create a Supreme Authority. As you can guess, they created Supreme Authorities by fusing all of their Divine Authorities," she said, chuckling.

"Both world killers and world guardians still needed Supreme Authorities to advance. But world killers could establish Divine Mountains and become Mountain Lords like you."

"On the other hand, world guardians could only become incomplete Dao Lords. They needed to join a Divine Court to become complete, so I think it is safe to say that world killers were the superior ancient cultivators."
