Chapter 1289: Double Trouble.

"To think Golden Sun, Time Traveler, and Wandering Thief were all able to hide from five of us easily, but five Supreme Metacs are struggling to hide from one person. How low we’ve fallen," she lamented, fear and apprehension surging within her mind, trying to cloud it.

Loki watched it all from his position high up in the upper realm. After seeing enough, he said, "It seems it is time to reveal the final ability of my Divine Avatar."

As he spoke, his Divine Spirit moved, and the phantom of the Devouring Supreme Metac in the Alpha Peak super world descended. As soon as the avatar descended, it went straight for Heavenly Eye’s Domain, where her Deceiver Supreme Metac was now hiding.

The avatar broke through the world barrier demarcating the Domains and entered the Domain. The Domain was just detaching from Alpha Peak’s super world and hadn’t had enough time to leave, so Ragnarok successfully reached it.

Upon arriving at his destination, he didn’t bother to look for the hidden Supreme Metac. He simply activated the Devouring Divine Ability and covered the entire Domain with a layer of black force field.

He prioritized the Deceiver Supreme Metac because it was one of the few Supreme Metacs he didn’t have. For this reason, the Perception Supreme Metac was next.

As for the Truth Supreme Metac and Illusion Supreme Metac, he didn’t need them, so they were last on his list. He didn’t intend to spare them, though. He still wanted to destroy them just to get rid of Heavenly Eye once and for all in this timeline, however short it might be.

While he was devouring the entire Domain with his Devouring Pathway Avatar, he could have created the Seal of Death Avatar in the super world where the Perception Supreme was hiding. But he didn’t want to expose the capabilities of his latest Supreme Metac.

He would rather reveal the Divine Mountain’s last ability. Plus, the Seal of Death wasn’t really good at catching things like the Devouring Supreme Metac. So he didn’t create a second avatar.

The black force field crushed the entire Domain, about 9.8 billion square kilometers in size, and everything within it to dust in a matter of seconds.

When the Deceiver Supreme Metac discovered that escaping was futile, it appeared and said, "Don’t kill me, Ragnarok."

"I have hidden a lot of things. I can give them to you if you let me go."

Unfortunately, Loki wasn’t interested. So Heavenly Eye’s attempt to distract him fell flat.

He didn’t hesitate at all to devour everything. When he was done, he said, "Just like that, I’ve become so powerful."

About 50 years ago, he was a Rank 2 cultivator on his way to the Earthly Battlefield. He remembered the first time he rode the airship to the Earthly Battlefield. He had marveled at how big the Central Domain and the Blessed Heaven World were.

Many years had passed since then, and he was now devouring a Domain as big as the Central Domain and 19 times bigger than Earth in a few seconds. Tens of billions of people had been casually devoured as well.

And he did it without any strain. It was so easy, making the experience surreal and unbelievable to the version of him 50 years ago who had once sworn to do anything for power and freedom.

He clenched his fists and said, "I once promised to eat gods. Here I am, doing exactly that."

"After years of trials and tribulations. After numerous obstacles, victories, and defeats, I have become exactly what my oppressors dread. Now I have become Ragnarok, the inevitable doom of worlds and gods alike."

While he relished the moment, his avatar in the Olympic Court had acted. He willed it, and a ray of light descended from the Divine Mountain.

The ray of light pierced the barrier between the two realms. It was golden, like the golden mountain it came from.

A phantom star descended from the sky along the ray of light. The ray of light landed beside Red Sky, depositing the phantom star there. A moment later, the phantom star turned into a white humanoid wolf with a black serpent for a tail.

This was his avatar. It looked identical to the Devouring Avatar in the Alpha Peak super world. So instead of withdrawing the previous Devouring Supreme Metac, he used the Divine Mountain to create a copy of it.

This is another privilege of being a Mountain Lord. Instead of being restricted to one avatar per godhead, he can create many avatars with one pathway.

Of course, he was still restricted to the number of activated godheads. Therefore, in this case, he was still restricted to a maximum of two avatars at a time.

This perk would help if he had one strong pathway and a weaker one, or a pathway he was willing to expose and another he didn’t want to. He could use the second godhead’s opportunity to create another avatar for the first godhead.

The best part about this perk was that he could create the avatar at any point in the lower realm. That meant he was no longer restricted to creating and retrieving avatars in super worlds.

So when Black Chain had slandered him with the Life Value Meters while his avatar was far away, moving worlds. He could have descended directly into the Blessed Heaven World instead of pretending to be too far away to do anything.

’What a ruse that had been. I ripped Black Chain a big tear with that scheme,’ he thought, smiling as he reminisced.

’Of course, what I did to him back then isn’t as bad as what I’ve done to him now. So maybe I went easy on him that time.’

He thought about that experience as his second Devouring Avatar entered the Red Sky super world in pursuit of the Perception Supreme Metac. Meanwhile, the avatar in the Alpha Peak super world was floating back into the sky.
