Chapter 1290: The Tyranny Of Ragnarok.
The avatar went into the divine constellation, returning its power to his true body. With the Devouring Supreme Metac free to create another avatar, he acted immediately.
Another golden ray of light fell from the sky, landing in another super world. From the ray of light, a second avatar stepped forth.
The will of the world came out to greet the avatar, saying with a fawning smile, "You’re welcome, the honored one, Lord Ragnarok."
"Out of my way," Loki said sternly. "Don’t try to protect her, or you will go down with her."
"I wouldn’t dare, Lord Ragnarok," it said, shaking its head.
"Then why are you wasting my time with chit-chat outside your world?" he asked, glaring.
Before the will could reply, his figure flashed and disappeared. He plunged into the super world like a heron entering a lake.
The super world wasn’t at peace before he arrived. Many divine beings suddenly lost their power, and the sky kept alternating between dimness and brightness. Then a whole Domain began to collapse and withdraw from the world, taking along billions of people.
So disorder was already the order of the day, and the presence of a Dao Lord’s avatar in the world only confirmed that something had gone wrong. Then the world shook as Loki smashed into the world barrier, tearing a gaping hole.
His speed was so fast that every form of resistance in his way was flattened, ripped apart, and energized until it exploded. The great and powerful world barrier, meant to block beings like him, was forced to explode with little effort.
Instead of acting like a wall, it behaved like a cotton curtain, easily torn apart. Loki would have laughed if this matter wasn’t so serious.
’The fact that the world barrier tried to stop me at all indicates that the Will of the World is trying to stop me,’ he thought, annoyed.
Then he laughed and thought, ’It was funny that this is the best it can do.’
The world barrier should have actively made way for him instead of solidifying the moment he touched it. If it had behaved well, it wouldn’t have been damaged the way it was.
Fortunately, it wasn’t a permanent injury. The world barrier was healing and was on track to close the gap. But for the first time in the world’s history, the continent beyond the world barrier became visible to everyone.
The people in the Central Domain could even pass through the gap to the other side. Just as they contemplated doing so, a large black blanket appeared in the Domain’s sky and covered the whole continent.
Like a fisherman casting his net, the blanket covered the entire continent, then pulled back, reeling it all in to the fisherman. In a few tense breaths, a whole continent was dragged away, leaving nothing behind it.
The only sign of a struggle was a roar of anguish from someone saying, "Nooooooo! Not this way. Not like this."
When he was done, Loki looked around, glaring at the world. He made sure his dissatisfaction was known as he said, "Let this be the last time."
Then a golden ray of light fell from the sky on him. In the next moment, his figure disappeared.
The whole world seemed to sigh in relief as soon as he left. The tension lifted, and people could breathe easily once more.
"At last, he is gone," the will of the world said, sighing in relief.
"That was truly a close one. I don’t want to experience it ever again. I wish there was a way to escape his control," it said, wracking its brain for a solution.
It was as if an anvil stuck in their throats had finally settled peacefully in their stomach. The Will of the World felt this keenly, as Loki was the anvil the world was forced to accept and swallow.
Loki’s presence in the world was simply not good for the world. Even though he was only an avatar, an extension of the power of his true body, his existence felt too heavy to be allowed to move around in a super world.
The Divine Mountain had allowed him to use the full Domain Power of his true body, and since his total Domain Power was bigger than any super world in the Sea of World, making super worlds accommodate him was like forcing a mortal to swallow an anvil. It was far from being pleasant.
Loki’s avatar hopped across super worlds like that. The only super world he didn’t visit was the Blessed Heaven World. Even so, his actions still shook the whole world.
The first impact was several stars disappearing in the divine constellation as Supreme Metacs went dark and Divine Positions fell from power. After that unfortunate event came the disappearance of an entire Domain.
As if that wasn’t enough, several objects and items suddenly appeared in the Blessed Heaven World. Some of them were useless items, like mountains that had been hidden for a very long time. But there were also useful items like celestial artifacts.
Of course, the celestial artifacts were damaged and incomplete. They were barely hanging by a thread, yet they still drove a craze among Dao Lords.
The Gemini younglings wanted to swarm the Blessed Heaven World, but they didn’t dare send their avatars for fear that a certain Dao Lord with a voracious appetite would take them. So they sent divine beings to get the celestial artifacts instead.
But a few Gemini younglings decided to do something better and extended their reach into the world by offering the projections of their Supreme Metacs for anchoring.
In general, super worlds don’t like the Gemini race, just like a group of inmates wouldn’t like their jailers and warden. They didn’t like their overlords because they were raised as breeding stock, so the Blessed Heaven World was inclined to reject the offers.
But the Blessed Heaven World was in a precarious situation at the moment, with only two Dao Lords to protect it and help it advance. So, it couldn’t be picky.
