THE GOD EATER

Chapter 1310: Three Screens.

Chapter 1310: Three Screens.

In another scene, Green Fire was shown trying to make the upper realm habitable for mortals. She was building a greenhouse of sorts to provide the necessary conditions for survival.

The greenhouse looked like a dollhouse to a mortal girl as she stood beside it. But it was as big as a continent in the lower realm.

"I see," the white humanoid bull said, nodding. "They are remnants of a Domain King. No wonder they are so talented."

His counterpart also said, "I was wondering how a dying Domain could have so many talented people."

Shaking his head, he said, "According to our records, seven Cosmic Daos have appeared in this Sea of Worlds since the destruction of their ancient civilization."

"That’s 7 out of at most 21 Rank 9 Dao Initiates. That’s an appearance rate of 33.33% or 3 in 10."

"For a while there, I thought that Cosmic Daos might not be as difficult as the rest of the universe found it to be. I thought Cosmic Daos didn’t usually have an appearance rate of one in a billion Dao Initiates."

But the white humanoid bull insisted, saying, "It is still impressive, though."

"If the remnants of a Domain King could be as talented and powerful as this, I can only imagine what a Domain King at the peak is capable of."

"What’s so great about it?" the guardian said, snorting. "My true body is a Domain King and also alive."

"He is so powerful, he can shatter this Domain. My true body is so powerful, it can monitor the time stream and record it."

In response, the white caretaker nodded and said, "You’re definitely special, my lord. But we have never seen your true body or seen what it can do. We don’t even know what the name of your true body is."

The black humanoid bull also said, "You’re so powerful that you’re far beyond us. We can’t possibly fathom how powerful you are, and we seek your apology for our incompetence."

After being buttered up so nicely, the guardian shook his head and said, "Forget it. We have more important matters to deal with."

"Speaking of important matters, I do have a question. Isn’t it a security threat to let the remnants of an enemy we defeated continue to remain? What if the Domain King resurrects through them?" the black caretaker asked curiously.

"First of all, these remnants have no idea that they are remnants of the same person. They only think they are people who met one day and hit it off, forming bonds of brotherhood."

"Secondly, they are weak. Even if they remember that they used to be the Domain King and decide to seek vengeance, it won’t change anything."

"Thirdly, the Domain King can’t resurrect. As long as I remain here and don’t allow it, he will never be able to resurrect."

"Fourthly, my true body was strong enough to defeat him nearly ten thousand years ago. A lot has happened since then and my true body has become stronger. So if the Domain King resurrects and recovers his strength, I will still defeat him. At most, I will finish what I started and destroy the whole Domain once and for all."

"In light of this, we decided to let his remnants jump around and help bear offspring for us. So far, that has been a genius idea. One of his remnants upgraded a Grand Dao into a Cosmic Dao."

They clicked their tongue as they said, "Do you know how rare that is?"

The black humanoid bull nodded and said, "Upgrading a Minor Dao to a Major Dao is a billion times more difficult than creating a Cosmic Dao."

"Upgrading a Major Dao to a Grand Dao is also a billion times more difficult than upgrading a Minor Dao to a Major Dao. Finally, upgrading a Grand Dao into a Cosmic Dao is a billion times more difficult than upgrading a Minor Dao to a Major Dao."

"I only know the difficulty, though. I don’t know its significance or usefulness," he admitted after speaking.

This made the guardian chuckle and say, "Aren’t you on the Knowledge Pathway? I thought you people knew everything."

The black humanoid bull shook his head and said, "The Archon of Knowledge is a bit difficult to deal with. The price they ask for knowledge is sometimes too much, so I try not to use my pathway to learn information that isn’t easily accessible to me."

"Well, here is information that you don’t have to pay for," the guardian began.

"Anybody can come up with ways to improve a pathway. There is no cost to doing it either."

"You can attempt to upgrade a Supreme Metac an infinite number of times if you want to. But only an upgrade that the grand force of the universe approves of will hold. Anything else will collapse."

"You probably know that by now. What you may not know is that successfully upgrading a Supreme Metac means that you have some qualifications to create a new pathway and become the Sovereign of that pathway."

"As for upgrading a Grand Dao to a Cosmic Dao, it means you have the potential to become an Archon, one of the cornerstones of the universe."

"In my long life and the numerous worlds I’ve invaded or destroyed, I have only met two people who achieved it. One of them is someone you know. It is the God King of our proud Gemini Race."

Hearing this, the white humanoid bull exclaimed, "Oh damn. No wonder the Sovereign of the Devouring Pathway wants to take this Ragnarok fellow."

The guardian nodded and said, "I don’t blame the Devourer. If not for the God King, and if not for the fact that I would need to destroy my cultivation, lose my memories, and start again, I would have taken that Supreme Metac for myself."

"There is also the matter of pride. If the remnant of another Domain King can achieve something like that, I’m sure I can manage on my own."

The white humanoid bull immediately said in agreement, "I’m sure you can do it, sir. It is only a matter of time. I’m sure your invasion of Domains is what has delayed you so far."

The guardian looked at this bootlicker, unsure of what to say.
