Chapter 1309: Round and Golden Iris.

Wandering Thief immediately nodded and said, "That’s a good idea, actually. More Domain Power will surely make time travel faster."

"The only problem is that Ragnarok will surely stand in our way. So we have to find a way to deal with him before we can pursue that avenue."

"We already came up with a plan from the future," War Mongerer said hurriedly, interjecting before they could continue this line of conversation for too long.

"We decided to promise Ragnarok that we would help him become the Domain King in exchange for his help. Then we will break the oath and double-cross him."

"That’s not a bad idea," Nameless Fool said.

Nodding his head, Wandering Thief added, "I can see it working. Ragnarok is so proud, he won’t see the double-cross coming."

"Forget about the plan for now," War Mongerer said, interrupting him. "We should focus on making sure you don’t die instead."

The scene fell into silence as everyone began to think about how to solve the problem.

"Since you said the projection of my Supreme Metac was attacked, we should make sure nothing happens to it. We should also tell the Will of the World to watch for any suspicious actions," Wandering Thief suggested after thinking about the problem for a while.

"We should also fortify you to block the potential attack," Nameless Fool added.

One by one, they provided suggestions and made plans. Then they immediately began executing their plans.

They didn’t waste any time. The urgency of the situation put them in a hurried frenzy as they rushed around trying to solve the problem.

Fortunately, what they did worked, and nothing attacked Wandering Thief. They didn’t relax just yet, though. They kept waiting and watching for anything suspicious.

During that time, the guardian and caretakers waited too. The difference was that each party waited in different places and for different things.

The guardian and caretakers were in their ship looking at a round three-dimensional screen. The screen showed events in the Domain and was split into three parts.

The first part of the screen on the left showed events from the Domain two timelines ago. It started when the caretakers received the notification of an unidentified temporal anomaly. That’s when they began recording events in the Domain.

The replay on the first part of the screen ended with the guardian killing Loki. Of course, the replay didn’t focus on this one event. It showed everything happening in the Sea of Worlds from beginning to end.

But yes, the timeline did end around the time the guardian fought and killed Loki. Then the replay returned to the start of the recording, when they set up the recorder.

In the second section of the screen, the middle part, it showed events from the previous timeline. It started a few minutes after Loki began his ascension to the upper realm. More specifically, it was when the guardian received the notification from the pantheon and set up the recorder.

Again, the images on the screen didn’t focus on Loki. It didn’t focus on anyone and instead showed what everyone was doing. But the recording did end when War Mongerer activated the Time Loop Supreme Metac.

In the last section of the screen, the part on the right, it showed events in this timeline. This time, the screen was focused on War Mongerer and his two brothers. A white outline also surrounded War Mongerer, making him stand out.

The guardian and the two caretakers formed a triangle around the recorder. The recorder was floating in the middle and could be viewed from any angle.

The two caretakers, the white and the black humanoid bull, watched the screens tersely and took their job very seriously. Their eyes flickered, taking in every scene and activity on the three screens.

On the surface, they looked no different from Dao Lords. The only thing out of place about them was their eyes.

Their eyes differed from those of Dao Lords in that they weren’t glowing with multicolored light like a rainbow. Dao Lords’ eyes also don’t have irises and pupils. It is usually one mass of multicolored brightness.

But these two seemed to have an iris in their eyes. It was a bright, glowing ring of light on a background of darkness. The ring was golden too and was producing so much light that they could illuminate their surroundings with their eyes.

But aside from that difference in their eyes, they looked no different from normal Dao Lords. They had the same kind of Dao Body and were the same size as other Dao Lords.

As for the guardian, they didn’t seem to have eyes at all. Their helmet blocked their face, so no one could tell what they looked like, whether they had eyes, or whether their eyes glowed.

"We caught him red-handed," the white humanoid bull said, frowning. "But the recorder says he isn’t a threat."

"How is that possible?" his counterpart, the black humanoid bull, asked, half in confusion and half in disbelief.

"Oh, I know this guy," the guardian said, waving a dismissive hand.

"He is one of the remnants of the previous Domain King. I took note of him as soon as he got the Time Loop Supreme Metac."

"I have registered him, so he isn’t a threat. If he couldn’t be a threat when he was the Domain King and was at the peak of his condition, he can’t be a threat now," the guardian said, chuckling.

"So this is a remnant of a Domain King? What an honor," the black humanoid bull said in awe. "Rarely do we come across anything related to Domain Kings."

But the guardian wasn’t impressed. They shrugged as they said, "The three brothers are remnants of the Domain King."

"Their fourth brother was also a remnant. There are five other remnants too. So he isn’t that special."

As they spoke, they made the recorder show scenes of what the other remnants were doing. In one of the scenes, Loki could be seen running around with a perpetual black blanket emanating from him.
