Chapter 1325: The Eye Of Power.

As for Nameless Fool, he was able to save his Luck Pathway with suicide. Only Wandering Thief wasn’t so lucky and was completely devoured.

So Loki only got the Name Pathway from this attack. But he was satisfied with the outcome.

With everything in order, he smiled and thought, ’It is time to go.’

Then he took out the Rewind Metac and activated it.

The Devouring Supreme Metac detached from him and went into the River of Time. It hit a roadblock when it reached the point where it had to enter the lower realm.

The first time he reached this roadblock, he stopped because he didn’t know what would happen. So the limit of reversing time was at the moment of ascending into the upper realm.

But this time, he was already used to the roadblock and what it would do. He also wanted to go further into the past, to the moment before he ascended, so he kept pushing through the roadblock and let the barrier between realms compress him.

The barrier between the upper realm and lower realm was not just a spatial barrier. It was also a temporal barrier that limited the power of anything affecting the lower realm.

So to enter the lower realm through the River of Time, he needed his Supreme Metac shrunken from 9,9,9(x,y,z) to 9,9,1. The godhead was also switched off and stopped producing divinity.

The spark of power would be unaffected and would still be able to produce divinity, though. But the divinity would still be blocked from affecting the lower realm through him, even though the spark of power wasn’t suppressed like the Supreme Metac. That was how thorough the barrier between realms was.

As Loki felt himself weaken, he said, I hope this works."

Behind him, someone said, "I hope so too."

He didn’t hear them, though. He continued swimming upstream through the River of Time, unconcerned.

There was an eye behind him. The eye had three pupils, each showing different things.

The pupils formed the corners of a triangle. One pupil was seeing the present.

Right now, it was focused on the golden godhead before it. It was tracking the godhead swimming upstream through the River of Time.

Another pupil was tracking the recent past. It was replaying the events from the last time War Mongerer reversed time up to the moment Loki activated the Rewind Metac.

The last pupil was tracking the time period between when War Mongerer escaped from the first attack and reversed time after the second time. So it was seeing the events of the second time, when War Mongerer nearly died after he touched the attack with his Divine Spirit.

As for events beyond this, the eye couldn’t keep track of them. But those events didn’t seem to matter right now. The eye was too focused on Loki to care about them.

The eye had slipped into the River of Time with Loki, but Loki didn’t notice. It wanted to follow Loki every step of the way and document everything he did. Unfortunately, the barrier between the lower and upper realms blocked its way.

"I guess it didn’t work," it said, grumbling.

It had wanted to slip through the barrier by following Loki, but it didn’t work. So now it had a decision to make.

It considered doing the same thing Loki did and shrinking so it could fit in the lower realm. But it gave up on that idea after thinking about it.

"My power would be far too restricted for that. This tricky young man would surely notice me following him then."

"He might even kill me and make me lose all of my records. How silly would that be?"

"I am not even an avatar, but it would still be embarrassing," he said, chuckling.

The second option was to invade the godhead and overwrite its existence from within. The third option was to give up on following Loki now and wait for him in the upper realm. It didn’t want to give up, so he chose the first option.

The eye fell onto the golden orb with wings and sank into it without Loki noticing. Then it began taking over Loki’s mind.

It didn’t take over all of Loki’s existence, though. It could, but it didn’t because that wasn’t its mission, and doing something like that would be stealing prey from the jaws of the Gemini God King.

The eye only took over every memory of the guardian that Loki had in his mind. So the memory of the guardian gained spirituality and awareness in his mind.

The only sign of the change was that the guardian’s memories appeared unbidden in his mind.

"Why did I think about that hateful fellow?" he asked himself. "One day, I’ll crush him and his spear."

Loki noticed the guardian had become much more vivid and awe-inspiring in his mind. When he thought of the guardian, what he remembered was something more powerful than his initial experience.

Of course, he didn’t think anything was wrong. He didn’t notice the guardian had changed and grown stronger because he no longer had past memories to compare it to.

The only memories he had of the guardian were the ones he had now, so they had to be what he remembered. After all, they were memories of the past, and the past couldn’t be changed.

He also had perfect memories, so he couldn’t remember incorrectly. Therefore, he didn’t suspect anything.

It was like how he had seen the eye all along, but the memory of the eye never registered in his mind. If the memory couldn’t register, he would always forget he saw the eye, no matter how many times he saw it.

This is the kind of thing someone who could control every part of their existence, including images of themselves, could do. This is the power of a god.

Meanwhile, the eye was reviewing Loki’s memories. Loki was like an open book to it with no secrets hidden.
