Chapter 1338: The Matrix.

"So can you be used as a weapon? Can you fight?" Loki asked, skeptically while wondering how he could use it to kill his enemies.

The words on the virtual screen changed again in response to his question, saying, "Unfortunately, my abilities are limited to the communication network. I can speak and create audio. I can take pictures and record your experience. I can help send messages to other Geminis whose contact information you have. But I can’t help you fight, and the helper artifact is not sturdy enough to be used as a weapon."

Loki asked the first question that came to his mind, "What is the cultivation level beyond the level of Dao Emperor stage?"

Clearly, he was still curious about the owner of that eye that followed him from the previous timeline and wanted to know more about them. Of course, his intentions were purely educational. He had no interest in using that information for planning nefarious schemes.

The Matrix said, "If you’re referring to the Dao Emperor stage of the Daoist cultivation system, then you do not have authority to access that information. It is restricted for you."

Apparently, he was locked out of the information he wanted, but Loki wasn’t disappointed too much. After all, his expectations were low to begin with. He was only trying his luck.

In fact, far from being disappointed, his interest was piqued as he said, "What is the Daoist cultivation system, and how is it different from my current cultivation system?"

"The Daoist cultivation system originated from the.... You do not have the authority to view this information."

"The Daoist cultivation system in your Domain 135.012.468, which you call the Sea of Worlds, was initiated by.... You do not have the authority to view this information."

"You use the Divine cultivation system. The main difference between it and the Daoist Cultivation System is that you have one body while Daoists have multiple bodies called clones."

"Daoists gain godheads when they become Dao Lords, just like when Divine Ascendants at Rank 9 become Demigods. But while Demigods have their godheads within one true body, Daoists have separate clones for each godhead and pathway."

"The advantages and disadvantages of this are that it is easier to kill a demigod, but demigods can fall to Divine Ascendants and ascend later as long as they have godheads to sacrifice."

"For Daoists, there is no such thing as being able to fall to the lower realm and ascend at a later date to avoid an enemy. Each clone that dies is a permanent death. But the advantage is that one would need to kill every clone to kill a Daoist permanently."

"Can I use both pathways?" Loki asked with interest.

"No. It is impossible to have two cultivation systems, as the Grand Force of the Universe will only provide one."

Unwilling to give up, Loki asked, "How do I use the Daoist cultivation system?"

He wanted to know because he could reverse time and had the spark of power. So he felt that he could use the Divine cultivation system for a while, reverse time, and take it with him.

After returning to the past with a Supreme Metac, he would find a way to ascend with the Daoist cultivation system. Then he would use the spark of power to have both systems. He wasn’t sure how it would work, but he was eager to find out.

But the Matrix said, "You do not have the authority to access this information."

"The Daoist cultivation system has been banned in any of the territories under the control of the Gemini race. Anyone caught using it would be destroyed completely with no trace left behind."

"Besides, the Daoist cultivation system is weaker than the Divine cultivation system. The clones of the Daoist cultivation system don’t have access to each other’s divinity and Supreme Metacs. On the other hand, demigods have all of their divinity and Supreme Metacs in one body."

"Because of these differences in cultivation systems, a ten-star Daoist with ten clones will have one ten-star pathway in each clone. So the strongest clone with a Cosmic Dao can have only (27 × 10), or 270, divinity and (9^3 × 10), or 7,290, units of volume.

"In comparison, a ten-star demigod will have (27 ×10 × 10), or 2,700, divinity and (9^3 × 10 × 10), or 72,900, units of volume. Without the amplification of Rank, Domain Power, and Authority, the single clone of the ten-star Daoist will produce a power of 270 divinity x 7,290 volume, which is 1,968,300 units."

"With the same handicap, a star-star demigod will produce a power of 2,700 divinity x 72,900 volume, which is 196,830,000. So the difference in power is a hundred times, and Demigods can be up to 10,000% more powerful than their Daoist counterparts."

"This difference will widen when Daoists advance from Dao Lords to Dao Kings by fusing Supreme Metacs. But it will eventually disappear when every clone fuses into one at the peak of the Dao Emperor stage. Even so, it is not advised to use this cultivation system at all."

Upon seeing this, the Loki within the spark of power whistled mentally and thought, ’Wow. That’s a big difference.’

’To think there is such a massive difference between cultivation systems. I didn’t expect such a massive gap between them, given how Heavenly Eye described the ancient and modern cultivation systems.’

’I believe the Matrix wasn’t lying about Daoists being weak. But I’m sure that their having multiple bodies is why their cultivation system has been banned.’

’I bet it is difficult to create powerful Gemini younglings when you can only copy one clone at a time. I bet whatever offspring they can produce from Daoists are weak and untalented. So they changed the cultivation system so that their breeding stock would produce better offspring,’ he thought, sneering.

While he was mulling over this information, black Loki asked the Matrix, "What are the subsequent ranks of the Divine cultivation system?"
