Chapter 1386: Going On A Tour.

As soon as he heard him, Green Fire burst out laughing, "Ahahahaha."

As she laughed, she said, "That’s nonsense. Speaking backward means absolutely nothing to me, so it wasn’t why I believed."

"I believed you because you came to me with a straight face to convince me to help you defeat the Gemini with something as stupid as that. But as stupid as it was, I thought it was reasonable if my previous version felt like I do now about you."

"Her point was that you didn’t need something reasonable to convince me. Just asking me was enough."

As absurd as it was, Wandering Thief couldn’t say anything to refute her. He seemed to understand her, so he said, "Coincidentally, I also feel comfortable around you. I’ve only ever felt that way around my brothers."

"Is that so?" she asked, her eyes glinting with mirth. "That’s high praise coming from one of the three notorious Cosmic brothers."

He chuckled awkwardly upon hearing this. Then he coughed to ease his awkwardness.

After clearing his phantom throat, he said, "I didn’t think I would ever do this, but do you want to meet my brothers?"

"It will be my pleasure," she said with a radiant smile.

"You will need to send your avatar, though," he said with some difficulty.

Before she could misunderstand his intentions, he quickly explained, saying, "I’m not asking to ambush your avatar."

"It is just that they are hiding somewhere that’s difficult to reach. The only way to see them is if I take you there directly while hiding you."

In response, she rolled her eyes, unconcerned. Even before he explained, the projection of her Supreme Metac in the divine constellation was already shining brightly like the sun.

By the time he finished explaining, her avatar was already on its way. So clearly, she didn’t need his explanation.

"I will see you soon," she said before withdrawing her Divine Spirit and leaving.

For a long time after she was gone, Wandering Thief couldn’t believe he had just said those things to her.

He was so confused that he asked, "What the heck was that?"

It felt as if he had been placed under a spell. He just instinctively trusted her. It made him wonder if she was doing something to mess with his mind.

But as suspicious as he was, he also didn’t hesitate to send down his avatar. So now, there were two avatars in Thief’s Heaven. It drew the attention of many Dao Lords.

Practically every Dao Lord anchored to the divine constellation stopped what they were doing to see what would happen. But just as they arrived to see what was going on, the two avatars disappeared.

Since they were looking through the divine constellation, their disappearance meant those two had hidden themselves from the world’s surveillance, or the Will of the World was hiding them from the others.

Either way, they couldn’t solve this disappearing act easily, so some of them gave up. But some Dao Lords were determined to see what was going on.

Black Chain, Heavenly Eye, and Tepid Scholar tore a rift through the barrier of the lower realm to see with their eyes what was going on. Seeing with their own eyes was better and more accurate than seeing through the divine constellation, so they had a better chance of discovering the truth this way.

Unfortunately, no matter how much they searched, they saw nothing. They didn’t give up, though.

The three of them immediately went to Wandering Thief to demand an explanation. They were not the first to do so, but among all of them, Black Chain was the most vocal.

Black Chain roared as he said, "What are you doing? This isn’t part of the plan?"

"Are you trying to sabotage our plans? Why would you do that? Or have you been turned into a Gemini?"

It was one question after another. The barrage of endless questions smashed into Wandering Thief, but he was unperturbed.

He said calmly, "Don’t worry about it. I was only taking her for a stroll through the lower realms."

But Black Chain wasn’t satisfied. He asked sternly, "What could be so important that you would risk disrupting our plans?"

"I said, don’t worry about it. Anyway, it is a secret, and I can’t tell you. So worrying about it won’t help."

Black Chain was like the fuse of a dynamite that had been lit. He exploded, saying, "You little shit. How dare you say I shouldn’t be worried about it?"

"We have so much at stake, and you’re telling me not to be worried? What kind of nonsense is that? What kind of absurd..."

Wandering Thief cut him off and didn’t listen to the rest of what the Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect had to say. But he didn’t treat Heavenly Eye like this, though.

Before he cut her off, he said, "We don’t need to meet."

"Ragnarok was right. I can break oaths. I know that’s damning, but I hope that won’t stand in the way of working together to deal with the Gemini race."

Then he ignored her too.

After cutting off everyone’s endless questions, he regained his peace and quiet. In this silence, he thought about many things; most of them revolved around the damage Ragnarok caused by exposing his secret.

When he was done thinking, he smiled and said, "It is bad, but there is one thing I should thank Ragnarok for."

He spread his arms wide as he said, "I have to thank him because I don’t need to hide anymore. Since I don’t need to hide, let the floodgates be opened."

Then he began laughing.

In the upper realm, Loki was watching all of this happen. Of course, he didn’t spend all his time snooping on the lower realm. He was a busy man and had plenty of important things to do with his time.

He only glanced in their direction once in a while to make sure he didn’t miss anything important.
