Chapter 901: A Trap.

The previous amplification from his Cave Heaven was 9,490 million square kilometers, so there wasn’t much of a loss in the process of converting his flat Cave Heaven into a mountain. So he didn’t mind this change.

He also hadn’t lost anything in the replacement of the Law Fragments Stats with the Authority Stat. This Authority Stat is how much amplification he will derive from his external body, and it is the same amount as the one he had before.

Regarding the change he underwent in his Divine Spark, it is the addition of the Mountain Lord Ability. He thought this was strange because he didn’t have it the first time he created the golden mountain.

He wondered inwardly, thinking, ’My Cave Heaven was not up to 10,000 million square kilometers when the mountain was created, yet I managed to create the mountain and gain this new ability. But why can’t I use it now?’

’I’m sure that the black tattoo I brought back was why I managed to create the golden mountain without meeting the requirement. So it could be that the reason I can’t use this ability is that I haven’t met the requirement?’

’Or could the mountain just be too powerful for me? After all, I met all the requirements last time, yet I couldn’t control it. So it is likely that I am missing something important.’

After thinking about his inability to use the Mountain Lord Ability and getting nowhere with it, he shrugged and thought, ’Anyway, even if I could use the Mountain Lord Ability, it isn’t the most important power I’ve gained recently. The most important power should be the Time Loop Supreme Metac.’

’’The Time Loop Supreme Metac is great on its own. It has a high limit and a lot of space. But it also came with powerful Divine Metacs. What could be better?’

In a bid to answer that question, he said to himself, ’To be fair, I can’t be sure that the Time Supreme Metac is the best when I don’t know what the Mountain Lord Ability does. Then again, how can the Mountain Lord Ability be great if I can’t use it?’

His inner voice was full of disdain as he said, ’If it is so great, I should be able to use it now. At least, the Time Supreme Metac is superior in terms of accessibility and usability.

"As for which is ultimately better in terms of power, that is yet to be seen. But my hopes are not up for the Mountain Lord Abiltity. After all, everyone with a Cave Heaven with a size of 10 billion square kilometers and 10 billion law fragments can make it. But not every Dao Lord has the Time Path. So the Mountain Lord Ability can’t be that special.’

While he was thinking about the golden mountain, Time Traveler was also thinking about the golden mountain.

The fallen Dao Lord had seen a golden mountain flash briefly in the dragon. This had happened at the time Loki’s external body sprang into existence and began to expand.

During the brief moment when the power of his Cave Heaven came out to appear in the external world as an extension of his existence, a channel had formed between the external world and Loki’s inner world. Time Traveler was able to glimpse the golden mountain through the link.

The window of opportunity was very brief. If Time Traveler hadn’t been looking at the dragon and trying to come up with reasons to allow the dragon into his Cave Heaven, he would have missed it.

Fortunately, he didn’t miss the opportunity. He saw the golden mountain. But then his emotions went to war within him.

The first emotion he felt was shock and disbelief. If he had a jaw, it would drop open in surprise. That’s how shocked he was.

For now, he could only say, "Was that a Divine Tower?"

He wanted to get another look just to be sure that he wasn’t seeing things. Unfortunately for him, the golden mountain had disappeared.

He couldn’t see the golden mountain again, but he knew its significance if it was real. This caused a torrent of greed to erupt from his heart.

"I must have it. If I have it, my power as a Dao Lord will soar. The position of Domain King will be at least 50% mine."

He wanted to grab the dragon now. In fact, he had already made a move to ensnare the dragon with his Cave Heaven.

But before he brought his dragon into his Cave Heaven to kill it and snatch the golden mountain, he remembered his situation. He remembered that he wasn’t a Dao Lord anymore and that he was currently in hiding.

In his situation, if something went wrong, he would lose everything he had and would never be able to reincarnate. Because of this, he calmed himself down and decided to take more time to think about the situation.

"Right now, there should be no Divine Tower in the Sea of Worlds. The previous ones had been destroyed together with the ancient cultivators. And based on what I know, a new Divine Tower is yet to be constructed."

"If I am right, then this is the only Divine Tower in the Sea of Worlds. If that is so, why would it appear on a random dragon?"

Then he shook his head and said, "This dragon can’t be some random dragon. He doesn’t look like a Dao Lord, so he must be a rank 9 being."

He paused when he reached this point in his train of thought. Something about what he just said didn’t look right. There shouldn’t be any rank 9 being unless the Dao Lords have allowed them to exist.

This made him chuckle and say, "No wonder a rank 9 being possesses a Divine Tower. He must be working with Dao Lords. He must be a bait sent by the Dao Lords to lure me out of hiding. How insidious."
