Chapter 900: Essence Of Cyclical Time.

His heart was beating with some trepidation as he said to himself, "If I hadn’t sensed danger early on and run away that time, it wouldn’t have been just the River of Time that was frozen. I would have been frozen too. Then he would have been able to capture me."

The danger he just sensed was even greater than what he sensed from the Dao Lords. He felt that it was absurd to sense that level of danger from an enemy that he only recently defeated, captured, and devoured.

But it had happened, and it had taught him a lesson. He had now learned not to try to mess with time near a Time Lord unless he has overwhelming strength.

"Anyway, this is not the end. We shall have another round, and I shall have my way with you."

As he spoke, he swam further upstream the River of Time. He went to a minute ago in time. This was just before he was allowed to enter Time Traveler’s Cave Heaven.

In the physical world, Loki was swimming around the same area in the River of Death. He was waiting and hoping for Time Traveler to let him in.

As he was waiting, he thought to himself, ’It is a pity that I can’t use the Devouring Ability here in the River of Death. If I could, he wouldn’t be able to make me wait like this. I would find and devour his precious Cave Heaven.’

Just as he was wondering what was taking Time Traveler so long, a future version of himself came from the River of Time and merged with him.

The merger of the future and the present took place in an instant. But the impact of the fusion continued far longer than that.

There shouldn’t have been a problem since he should be identical to his future version. The problem was that he wasn’t exactly identical to his future version.

Loki was watching with bated breath as the golden roots approached his Cave Heaven. He was curious to see what would happen and was ready to put a stop to it if something went wrong.

As he watched, he muttered inwardly, ’Don’t let me regret this.’

The golden roots touched the Cave Heaven. It penetrated his Cave Heaven easily. Then it spread throughout the Cave Heaven.

Along the way of spreading, the golden roots produced a force of attraction that pulled the Cave Heaven. The force of attraction was so strong that the Cave Heaven collapsed in on itself.

The collapsed Cave Heaven began to shrink in size. As it shrunk, it consumed his lifespan. Then it shook with tremors every time it shrank by half.

This process continued for a whole 23 seconds. While it was happening, the external world around him slowly transformed into an invisible part of his body.

The smaller his Cave Heaven became, the bigger his external body became. By the time his Cave Heaven was done changing, it had transformed into a golden mountain.

This was the same mountain that tried to stop him from reversing time like last time. And just like last time, there were golden vines binding him to the golden mountain.

The only difference now was that he knew a little bit more about the golden mountain. Fenrir had eaten the golden mountain before, and his spark of power had formed the black rune, so the Power Identification Ability could tell more about it now.
