Chapter 902: Definitely A Trap.

His thoughts churned with suspicion as he said, "The Divine Tower is probably fake. If it is real, why would it be revealed to me? Any person with common sense should know to hide something so valuable."

The more he thought about the trap that lay out for him, the more faults he found and the more amusing he found the whole thing. So he began to laugh.

He laughed loudly and said, "Ahhhhhhhhh! What a scheme!"

His laughter became louder as he said, "And they showed me the Divine Tower for only a brief instant. I’m sure it was to prevent me from seeing more clues exposing it as a fake."

He laughed hard and long. This continued for a few seconds more until he got tired of laughing.

Then he sneered and said, "They almost got me. Unfortunately for them, I am smarter than them."

He decided to give up on the Divine Tower and focus on reincarnating. After reincarnating, he would then work towards creating a Divine Tower or stealing one. In fact, he decided to move his Cave Heaven as soon as possible.

The Time Loop Metac would need to be deactivated for him to move his Cave Heaven. After that, its function is to maintain a fixed state of a system. If he didn’t deactivate the Time Loop Metac, then his Cave Heaven would return to its previous position after some time.

But he would lose a lot of lifespan, and his Cave Heaven would be eroded during the period when the Time Loop Metac is deactivated. So moving his Cave Heaven isn’t something he liked to do.

However, he didn’t want to care about the cost of doing so. Right now, his priority is getting away from this trap and the bait.

But just as he tried to move his Cave Heaven, he saw the dragon taken out of mortal. This mortal was a boy.

At first glance, the boy didn’t seem to be impressive. He wanted to dismiss this boy and return to moving his Cave Heaven. But when he caught a glimpse of the Divine Metac within the energy well of the boy, he froze.

He saw that the boy possessed the Rewind Metac. When he saw this, the identity of the boy became clear to him.

It became clear to him that this boy wasn’t some random mortal. With this understanding came an increase in the significance of the boy by several times.

However, the sight of the boy didn’t make Time Traveler want to speak with the dragon to ask for the boy. In fact, the sight of the boy made Time Traveler want to do the opposite and be as far away from the dragon as physically possible.

He sighed and said, "So my reincarnation has already been exposed. It seems the Dao Lords have been very thorough with their plans."

Now I am 100% certain that this is a trap. If I dare to show myself, I’m screwed."

Then he hardened his eyes and said, "Forget it. They can have this reincarnation. Fortunately, it is not the only one I have."

As he spoke, he deactivated the Time Loop Metac. Then he began to move his Cave Heaven through the river of death.

If he were doing this in the second heaven or basically anywhere else, it is likely that Loki would be able to perceive his actions. But here in the River of Death, perception is skewed and dull.

Time Traveler has been able to take advantage of the nullification of perception to hide from Dao Lords. He, too, can’t see well in the River of Death. The only reason he can see Loki so well is because Loki is standing at the very entrance of the spatial channel of his Cave Heaven.

Again, if this were anywhere else and Loki knew that he was at the entrance of the spatial channel of someone’s Cave Heaven, the odds are in his favor that he will be able to find the spatial channel and crack it open. A Dao Lord will definitely be able to see the Cave Heaven and rip it open.

Unfortunately for both Loki and the Dao Lords, Time Traveler is under the River of Death. So it is very difficult and nearly impossible to find his Cave Heaven and use brute force to gain access to it.

Plus, even if they try and have some success in forcing their way in, Time Traveler can just nullify all of their changes by activating the Time Loop Metac.

Loki was thinking about all of these issues as he tried to figure out a way to get to Time Traveler by force. But no matter how he thought about it, he couldn’t figure out a way to force Time Traveler out.

He could only shake his head and say, "He is like a tortoise in a shell. I know that he is there and I’ve been there myself. But I just can’t force my way in with him being so intent on hiding so much."

Then he shrugged and said, "Never mind. If Dao Lords couldn’t crack him open, it is not a surprise that I can’t either. Anyway, I already have something useful to show for my effort."

He has decided to give up on troubling Time Traveler or the time being. This is only for the time being, though. He can still come back in the future for another attempt.

But before leaving, he took one last look around to make sure that he didn’t miss anything. Then he took off to the surface of the River of Death.

On his way to the surface, he killed Slav. After killing the young master, he extracted the Rewind Metac from him and stored the Divine Metac in the Time Supreme Metac.

As soon as the Rewind Metac entered the Time Supreme Metac, it was raised to rank 8 by his spark of power. This wasn’t particularly difficult for him to do.
