Chapter 919: A Good Stick.

While it might seem like a good idea to help the Four Dao Lords fight the five monkeys, he couldn’t do so because he didn’t trust the four Dao Lords to actually back him up in the fight.

In fact, he expected the worst-case scenario, which was for them to gang up on him together with the Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect. So instead of doing their biding, he decided to prioritize his benefits.

As he approached the red man, he thought to himself, ’To be honest, I want to fight and kill the one they call Black Chains. But he is currently the strongest.’

’It is just a better idea to fight the weakest one and see what the avatars of Dao Lords are capable of. Once I see how they fight and know what to expect, then I won’t mind taking on the big bad.’

On the opposite side to him was Sword Mastero. He was barreling towards this avatar, but the avatar didn’t seem to be concerned.

The avatar sighed and said, ’It is always the same. I’m the youngest, so everyone likes to pick on me. Unfortunately, it won’t be that easy to take me down.’

As the man spoke, his demeanor changed. His eyes began to glow, and his body flickered.

He didn’t look at Loki while speaking. Instead, his eyes wandered around him as if he was looking for something.

When he found what he was looking for, he reached for it with the power of his external body. So the thing he was looking for flew over to him and fell into his hands.

It turned out that what he was looking for was a stick. After he got the stick, he brandished it with a flourish.

The stick bent and strained in his hands as it was swung. It looked like it would break after a couple of swings.

But then a bloody layer of energy streamed out of his hand and coated the stick. The energy was as thick and viscous as blood. When it formed a film around the stick, the stick became sturdy.

With the enhancement of the bloody energy, the stick no longer bent and strained as he swung it. The stick even became so sharp that it tore through the air and created shockwaves.

When he swung the stick at a mountain far away, the mountain scattered in the wind as if it was made out of a pile of dust. With just one swing, the entire mountain had been cut into tiny flakes that were capable of floating in the wind.

Sword Mastero saw this and nodded in satisfaction as he said, "It will do."

Then he turned into a streak of red light that surged towards Loki. The stick in his hand continued to glow a bright bloody light. It looked as if it was hungry for Loki’s blood.

Loki had expected Sword Mastero to run away from him. Yet, Sword Mastero had done the exact opposite. Clearly, Sword Mastero wasn’t afraid of Loki. This made Loki very happy.

Loki smiled and thought to himself, ’It seems my trick with the tracking mark worked.’

Just as he had this thought, he heard the black monkey behind him say, "That’s good enough. You’re not hopeless after all."

Then fighting erupted behind him. The five monkeys attacked the other avatars.

The fight behind him was five monkeys against the two eagles, the one giant, and the refined scholar. The five monkeys had the advantage of numbers and even had a Cosmic Dao on their side. However, the five monkeys only had 85 million years of lifespan between them.

On the other side, the four avatars had 115 million years of lifespan between the three Dao Lords. Plus, Martial Will and Tepid Scholar still had cards to play. So it wasn’t yet certain who would win.

Above in the sky, the five Dao Lords were still looking down into the Sea of Worlds through the rifts. Compared to their size, the fight that was going on below looked like a fight between puppets.

The fight that Loki was fighting with all of his existence was only a game that was being fought by the tip of an iceberg to the Dao Lords. Of course, this didn’t diminish the value of this fight.

A lot was at stake in this fight. Which was why some of the Dao Lords were angry that Loki had decided to attack Sword Mastero.

Tepid Scholar frowned as he said to Black Chains, "What did you do?"

In response, Black Chains laughed unabashedly and said, "It seems he is not as stupid as you make him out to be. He knew who to side with, and he knew to pick the weakest. That doesn’t sound like a mad man to me."

Martial Will shook his head and said in pity, "What a fool! It seems he will fall into Sword Master’s hands."

Sword Mastero chuckled and said, "It is not my fault. I am just lucky."

Only Heavenly Eye said, "Let’s wait and see. Even I can’t predict how this will end, so I don’t think you should rush to make conclusions just yet."

She was only partially lying this time. She didn’t know how the whole fight between the eleven of them would end, but she knew how the fight between the dragon and Sword Mastero would need.

But Sword Mastero didn’t share any of her concerns. He smiled as he said, "I know that his domain is bigger than mine. But I should have a lot more lifespan than him, right?"

Unlike Sword Mastero, Black Chains took Heavenly Eye’s warning seriously. So he frowned and said, "His Cave Heaven is actually a lot bigger than yours."

He said that because he could see that the size of Loki’s external body was too big compared to the area of Sword Mastero’s external body. Sword Mastero could see this, but he didn’t accept that it meant he would lose.
