Chapter 937: Impact Of Death.

As for divine beings, they noticed the disappearance of the stars in the divine constellation and were aware of its implications. Based on common sense, they shouldn’t be surprised that something like this was happening. After all, Dao Lords are currently fighting.

When people fight, it should be expected that one of them would die. So when Dao Lords fight, it should be expected that one of them would die.

As divine beings, they were very familiar with this logic. Even so, they were stupefied when they realized that the Killing Pathway was gone.

They couldn’t believe that something like this would happen because it rarely happened. The last time something like this happened was about 2,000 years ago when the light of the Forging Pathway dimmed in the Myriad Phenomenon Sect.

Not many people still alive bore witness to the event. Probably, only the rank 8 divine beings saw it happen.

Plus, Dao Lords were majestic figures who stood well above everyone in the Sea of Worlds. It was difficult to associate the possibility of death with the state of existence of a Dao Lord.

Of course, the Sword Maestro was still alive, and the Sword Way Sect was still standing. Only the Supreme Metac of the Killing Pathway was lost. But without this Supreme Metac, no more divine beings would be able to ascend in the Killing Pathway.

What’s more, if by chance the Killing Pathway were to return in the future, it would have nothing to do with the Sword Way. So even though the Sword Maestro was still alive, the impact of this event had far-reaching consequences.

The disappearance of the Supreme Metac of the Killing Pathway didn’t happen only in the Blessed Heaven World. Every world in the Sea of Worlds with the Sword Way Sect based on it experienced the disappearance of this pathway. And every divine being of the Killing Pathway in every world in the Sea of Worlds also died.

The impact of this matter left so many divine beings shaken that they began to pray that their Dao Lords would survive this fight unharmed. Even the rank 8 cultivators, who hated their Dao Lords to the bone, were praying.

No one wanted to die. It didn’t matter if they were mortals, divine beings, Dao Initiates, or Dao Lords. But everyone could die. The only difference in their deaths is the impact of their death.

When a mortal dies, the impact of their death would only affect other mortals. At most, some divine beings would be affected. But the quality of the impact is mostly emotional, and the people who experience changes to their life actually because of the death of a mortal are usually less than a million.

When a divine being dies, probably ten million people will be affected. And if a Dao Initiate like Loki were to be killed, nearly everyone in the Central Domain would be affected.

Loki had wanted to take down everyone in the Central Domain with him. So if he had died, billions upon billions of people would have been affected by his death. But even this couldn’t compare with the impact of the death of a Dao Lord.

At least, Loki’s death could only affect one world and the people in that world at the time of his death. Maybe the way he died would leave long-lasting injuries in the world in the form of pollution that would kill future generations of people. But that’s all.

However, when Sword Maestro died, the entire Sea of Worlds was affected. Many worlds were affected by the disappearance of the Killing Pathway. And many divine beings, regardless of where they were, perished together with the avatar.

The impact of this death was so great that it made the other avatars pause their fighting. It also drew the attention of the other Dao Lords.

All of the things that happened from when Loki exposed his rank 9 cultivation while trying to expose Golden Sun up to the death of Sword Maestro’s avatar happened within the span of a minute. In fact, it hadn’t been up to 20 seconds in total.

Plus, those things had happened in the Blessed Heaven World and at a rank 9 power level, so it was normal that the other three Dao Lords didn’t notice it. But no matter what, they would notice the death of the Killing Pathway.

Therefore, three more rifts appeared in the sky of the Sea of Worlds. Three pairs of colorful eyes peered through these rifts to see what was going on.

But before they focused on the Blessed Heaven World, the newcomers all looked at Sword Maestro with curiosity. They looked at him with curiosity and hoped to glean useful information from his appearance.

Just as they were wondering, the world barrier opened up, and a figure appeared from it. This figure was a golden dragon. He had two golden horns on his head, and his scales were glimmering with golden light. It was the same dragon that they"ve all come to know and hate.
