Chapter 938: You And Me.

As soon as the figure of the dragon appeared, Sword Maestro made a move. He attacked with all of his might, and a bright sword light appeared between heaven and earth. This sword light streaked towards Loki at the speed of light.

As the sword light fell on Loki, his external body bloomed like a flower around him. So his surroundings fell into darkness, and a black hole appeared around him. The sword light fell into this black hole.

The sword light was fast, but it lacked power. When it struck the black hole, it sank into the black hole like a stick sinking into mud.

The black hole didn’t even shake because of the impact. It remained stable as it devoured the sword light.

The sword light pierced through the black hole to reach him. Everything the sword light touched was disintegrated and cleaved in two.

It looked as if the sword light would reach him. But the chances of this happening was falling by the moment because the sword light was being worn down and devoured by Loki’s external body. Eventually, the sword light was devoured before it could reach the center, where he was standing.

After neutralizing the attack, he said, "It is flashy, but it lacks substance."

Then he looked up and said to Sword Maestro, "To be fair, this attack wasn’t so bad. But if this could kill me, why didn’t you use it earlier?"

Both the avatar and the sword light had identical power levels. If there was a difference between them, it was in their quality.

The sword light was of a higher quality than whatever attack the avatar could produce. But the sword light also cost more energy to produce, and most of its power was wasted in the process of passing the boundary of the Sea of Worlds to reach Loki.

What they had in common was that both attacks were suppressed by Loki’s external body, and both of them failed to do anything to him. But Loki didn’t want to kick a man while he was down, which was why he didn’t state it outright that the sword light was a waste of time and energy. He only hinted at the fact that it wasn’t useful.

But Sword Maestro didn’t speak to defend himself. This time, he didn’t speak because he couldn’t.

The price he paid to maintain his avatar was now coming home to roost. The debt of Entropy in particular had to be dealt with as soon as possible, so he didn’t have the energy to engage in casual banter with the person who just crippled him.

After he attacked, the pressure of his existence shrank again. This time, every Dao Lord, including the newcomers, noticed the change.

Sword Maestro ignored everyone and took one last look at Loki. Then he closed the rift and disappeared from everyone’s sight.

Without a doubt, every Dao Lord knew that Sword Maestro had become weaker. At least, they were sure that if he was pretending, the price he paid for it was too much.

This made Black Chains rethink his previous conjectures and say to himself, ’Was I wrong? Did I overthink the matter? Maybe I was just being paranoid, and they weren’t scheming against me.’

He was trying to think, but someone interrupted his thoughts. That person said to his death avatar, "Now it is just you and me."

When he looked at the source of the voice, he saw a black hole rushing at him. The sight made him step back a bit.

Actually, he didn’t want to fight anymore. He had lost his interest in fighting Loki after an avatar died just earlier.

The death of that avatar had granted credibility to Sword Maestro’s claim that Loki was cheating with the suppression of Authority. At least, he no longer suspected that everything Sword Maestro was doing was an act to make him separate an avatar from his other avatars so that Sword Maestro and Loki could gang up on it together with the will of the world.

So he decided to disengage from Loki. In fact, he wanted to stop fighting completely, so he made the avatar enter the third dimension and rush towards the heaven of the third dimension.

The divine constellation is in the heaven of the third dimension. He came from the divine constellation, so if he wants to return, it is best to do so through the third dimension.

Unfortunately, Loki was unwilling to let him go. Loki marked the black monkey with the Tracking Ability. Then he activated the Seal Ability, the Hunting Form Ability, and the Devouring Ability through the mark.

He used all nine tracking marks on the black monkey. Then he used three of them for the Seal Ability, three more for the Hunting Form Ability, and the remaining three for the Devouring Ability.

The Hunting Form Ability converted the tracking marks into manifestations of Fenrir. Three manifestations were created from the three marks, and they all attacked the black monkey.

While he was doing this, he also ran to catch up to the avatar. His speed was 4% lower than the black monkey’s, but the avatar was being delayed by the three manifestations, so he was poised to catch up to it soon.

When the avatar was marked, it tried to remove the tracking marks on its body. Clearly, it failed.

Actually, the black monkey was capable of removing the marks with raw power and brute force. But the speed of the removal was slow. So Loki had been able to turn some of the marks into something else before he could remove them.

However, despite the failure, the black monkey was able to learn something important about Loki. The black monkey notice that the instructions in the marks were not inferior to the instructions in his Supreme Metac in terms of quality.

He noticed that in terms of quality, the marks had a structural integrity of 81 units. His Death Supreme Metac had a quality of 81 units too.
