Chapter 941: Incomplete Dao Lords.

Tepid Scholar smirked as he said, "When the dragon kills your death avatar, and you become more desperate, maybe I will ask for more. Will you still be determined to die then?"

Meanwhile, Heavenly Eye had begun to laugh. She seemed to be laughing at an inside joke that no one was privy to. At least, Black Chains didn’t see anyone else laughing.

He knew that she was a lost cause anyway, so he ignored her and said to Tepid Scholar, "Pick something else. I am willing to give you anything else other than one of the foundations of my power."

Tepid Scholar was silent for a while as he was deep in thought. When he spoke up two seconds later, he said, "No. I’ve made up my mind."

Before Black Chains could flare up again, Martial Will interjected, saying, "Allow me to take this opportunity to make my own demands. I am not Tepid Scholar. I too have needs, and they are not the same as those of that wimpy scholar."

These words made Black Chains begin to clap. He clapped dramatically while looking at them with cold eyes that were shooting out bursts of fiery energy.

As he clapped, he said, "Well done. Well done, all of you."

Martial Will refused to be intimidated and continued to say, "I don’t want any of your pathways. At least, not yet. What I want is for us to elevate the Blessed Heaven World into a Divine Tower."

Tepid Scholar immediately nodded and said, "That’s a good request."

Martial Will smiled and said, "Thank you. I just feel that the freedom of the world that nurtured us and helped us to achieve our current level of strength is more important than anything in the world."

At this point, Heavenly Eye had stopped smiling. She became serious as she said to Black Chains, "The Blessed Heaven World has been suppressed by you for too long. It is time to let her go."

One of the three Dao Lords that had been watching on the side decided to join in the conversation at this point. It was Carefree who spoke.

The Dao Lord of the Carefree Immortal sect said, "I believe it is a good idea to let the Blessed Heaven World ascend. It is about time."

When Black Chains heard what Carefree said, he roared and said, "Who asked for your opinion? This is a private matter, so I enjoin you to keep your opinions to yourself and mind your business."

But not only did this fail to shut Carefree up, but it also incited the remaining two Dao Lords and made them join the conversation.

Immovable Mountain said, "I wish it wasn’t our business. But as it turns out, it is our business because you won’t let us raise our super worlds either."

The last Dao Lord and the second female Dao Lord in the Sea of Worlds, Green Fire, nodded and said, "Maybe, if you busy yourself with raising your super world, you will be too busy to bother with us. So yes, this is a matter that concerns us."

Tepid Scholar also joined them in convincing Black Chains. He said, "We are high and mighty Dao Lords, but we are not complete Dao Lords. We need to get a Divine Spark and a Divine Tower to be considered complete Dao Lords."

"The Divine Spark and the Divine Tower are precious things, but they are not so precious that no one out of the eight of us can’t make them. In fact, every single Dao Lord should be able to produce a Divine Spark and a Divine Tower if they try enough."

"The main reason we haven’t been able to make these two important things is that you’re standing in their way. You’ve made yourself the enemy of the whole world, so you shouldn’t be surprised if we all gang up on you any chance we get."

Black Chains won’t allow anyone to help their worlds ascend because he is busy with something. He wants to enslave his super world so that he will be in control of it when it ascends and becomes a Divine Tower. He has stated that until he achieves this, no one else can create a Divine Tower.

Aside from his great strength, the main reason he can have such a hold on every Dao Lord in the Sea of Worlds is that the process of advancing the super world cannot be hidden.

Every Dao Lord will be able to perceive the ascension of a super world, and every Dao Lord can intervene to stop it or steal the Divine Tower. Since Black Chains is nominally the strongest Dao Lord, he had become the greatest threat to the success of the ascension of a world.

When Black Chains thought about everything he had done, he grumbled inwardly, saying, ’It is not your fault. I am mighty, but I have fallen so low that you can now climb onto me.’

At this point, it became clear that everyone disliked Black Chains. This matter of the Divine Spark and the Divine Tower is just one of the many things he has done to offend everyone. Even his super world and the Dao Lords of other super worlds hated him.

Normally, no one would bring up all of these bad things he has done. But now that he was in a bad situation, everyone was taking the opportunity to take advantage of him.

When the same thing had happened to Sword Maestro and his avatar was in danger of being killed, the worst that the other Dao Lords had done was to ignore Sword Maestro, refuse to help him, or pretend to help him. Only Black Chains had made Sword Maestro belittle himself.

But now that the same thing was happening to Black Chains, the other Dao Lords were attacking him and trying to kill his avatars while taking the opportunity to make unreasonable demands on him. At least, he believed that their demands were unreasonable.
