Chapter 960: Must Pay A Price.

As extraordinary as it was, the Death Supreme Metac wasn’t the only Supreme Metac doing projecting its power from the third heaven into the first dimension. The stars belonging to the Forging Pathway, Money Pathway, Enslavement Pathway, and the Mind Hunter Pathway also did this. They all appeared in the first dimension in an imposing sight and with a grand might that shook the heavens.

Unlike last time, Black Chains didn’t ask Heavenly Eye for her opinion about what she saw about the dragon. He also didn’t bother with determining who to descend to deal with the dragon.

Right now, his mind has been made up about acquiring the Time Pathway, and he was willing to do anything to get it. So he didn’t care what the other Dao Lords thought or would do if he decided to send an avatar to acquire the Time Supreme Metac.

He was taking a bullish approach to achieving his goal. So far, his approach is working.

After the five stars appeared, their shapes shifted, twisted, and turned into something humanoid. As time went by, the humanoid form of the balls of star fire became clearer and clearer. At the end of the shifting, the five stars had become five monkeys.

The five monkeys were black, golden, white, silver, and translucent. They represented the Death Pathway, Money Pathway, Enslavement Pathway, Forging Pathway, and the Mind Hunter Pathway, respectively.

Each monkey was 10 meters tall. This made them as tall as the dragon. They also had reptilian scales all over their bodies and horns on their heads, so they had more in common with the dragon other than their height.

The five monkeys all approached the dragon. The black monkey went directly towards the dragon, but the other four arranged themselves in four corners with the dragon at the center.

By the looks of things, the four dragons were sealing off the escape path of the dragon. But the Dao Lords above didn’t think the job of these monkeys was to trap the dragon.

Seeing this, Martial Will scoffed and said, "Look at him. He has already determined that he will defeat and kill the dragon, so he is already planning to stop us from interfering."

Sword Maestro asked with uncertainty, "Are we going to interfere, though?"

Martial Will answered curtly, "Of course we are. I’m not going to stand here and watch that hateful guy gain a Cosmic Dao. He has to at least pay a price for it."

Tepid Scholar nodded and said in agreement, "Indeed, he has to pay a price for it. This kind of power must not come cheap. Preferably, the price he pays should be enough to push him to his limit of Entropy so that he can’t use the power."

When Martial Will heard this, he curled his lips and said, "I see where you’re going with this, old man. If we force him to his limit, he will be forced to allow the Blessed Heaven World to ascend so that he can get access to a Divine Spark to pay off his debt of Entropy."

Tepid Scholar looked at him in surprise and said, "That’s exactly my plan. But I am surprised that you were able to get it so soon. I expected to explain it in depth to you."

The more he heard Tepid Scholar say, the more Martial Will’s face fell. By the end, he couldn’t hold back anymore. He shouted angrily, saying, "You pompous fool."

Tepid Scholar didn’t feel ashamed, though. Instead, he explained with a calm tone, "Forget it. You won’t understand it even if I told you."

The sky around the rift that Martial Will opened up began to shake as the Dao Lord of the Martial Body Sect said in anger, "Do you want a beating, old man? I will beat you so badly that you would wish you were never born."

While the two Dao Lords were arguing with each other, Heavenly Eye was deep in thought. Her eyes were also roaming over the dragon and inspecting him.
