Because of the decision of the Dao Lords, five more stars appeared in the sky of the Blessed Heaven World. For those in the know, the appearance of these stars meant one thing and only one thing. It meant war between the gods of the Sea of Worlds.

Black Chains didn’t know what the other Dao Lords had said and what they were planning because they didn’t add him to their circle of discussion. But once he saw the appearance of the five stars from the other domains, he knew what they were about to do to him.

Seeing this, he snorted and said in displeasure, "Why are you descending to the Blessed Heaven World? Don’t you know that the presence of so many Dao Lords in the Blessed Heaven World would damage it?"

He singled out Tepid Scholar directly as he said, "And you, old man. I thought you were smart. You of all people should know better than to encourage so many avatars to descend to the Blessed Heaven World."

In response, Tepid Scholar smiled harmlessly and said, "We are only doing this to help you, fellow daoist. No need to thank us. We didn’t do this to get something from you. As long as we’re helpful a little bit, we will be satisfied.’

Tepid Scholar chose to be subtle with his threats, but Martial Will didn’t have the patience for intrigue like that. The Dao Lord of the Martial Body Sect scoffed at Black Chains and said, "Look at you speaking as if you care about the Blessed Heaven World. What nonsense."

He didn’t believe that Time Traveler could defeat him, but he was still going to take this fight seriously. Especially since he believed that Time Traveler was most likely to escape when things start looking bad for the fallen Dao Lord.

Because of this, Black Chains planned to suppress Time Traveler and keep him here. And if need be, he was ready to fight and kill Time Traveler across the River of Time.

As the wielder of the Cosmic Dao of Death, he was confident that he could take down the Cosmic Dao of Time. In fact, he was confident that he could kill the Time Traveler regardless of whatever time-manipulating tricks the fallen Dao Lord had up their sleeve.

The death he planned to give the Time Traveler is one that can’t be avoided by reversing time. Once he killed the Time Traveler, the Time Traveler would no longer be able to exist beyond this period of time in the River of Time.

He knew that his goal was going to be difficult to achieve, which was why he didn’t want to antagonize the world around him and initiate resistance from the world by injecting instructions into his external body.

He wanted to limit every source of Entropy to the Time Traveler, so he kept his external body in check. However, once he got within 2,117 kilometers of the Time Traveler, he let go of his restraints.
