THE GOD EATER

Chapter 984: The Hidden Pathway.

Chapter 984: The Hidden Pathway.

The two of them began laughing and making jokes at Black Chain’s expense. Their jokes were so good that Heavenly Eye joined in.

Meanwhile, Tepid Scholar was sighing and saying, "How the mighty have fallen."

The entire time, Black Chain didn’t speak. But this didn’t mean that he wasn’t doing anything.

On the surface, he looked like he was inactive. While everyone was laughing, a new star suddenly appeared in the Blessed Heaven World.

The star appeared in the sky of the third dimension. It took a place in the divine constellation and anchored itself to it.

Seeing this, the Dao Lords stopped laughing, and the one who was sighing stopped sighing. They all turned to look at the new star. With curiosity burning in their eyes, they focused on it and raked their eyes over it from head to toe.

Of the four of them, Heavenly Eye was the first to see something useful. When she did, her eyes lit and she said, "So that’s how it is?"

The other three were a step slower than her. But even when they finished inspecting the star, they didn’t see as much as she did.

Unimpressed, Martial Will scoffed and said, "So it is a Supreme Metac? And it is a Major Dao too. What’s special about that? Who doesn’t have one?"

Tepid Scholar rolled his eyes and said, "It is the Curse Pathway. It should be Black Chain’s ultimate move."

As if realizing something, Sword Maestro’s eyes also lit up with understanding. But what he understood wasn’t a good thing, so his face fell.

With a sullen expression, he said, "This is not good."

But Martial Will still didn’t understand and snorted as he said, "How bad could it be? Isn’t it just a Grand Dao?"

"He had a Cosmic Dao and three Grand Dao just earlier, but he still couldn’t avoid the fate of having his avatars beaten to death like rats in a barrel. So how will one Grand Dao change anything?"

In response to all of his questions, Heavenly Eye smiled and said, "Why don’t you ask him? He is right over there."

Martial Will didn’t even justify her words with her reply. He just glared at her in anger and with malice in his eyes.

The Dao Lord of the Martial Body Sect felt that it was bad enough that she was withholding information from him, so he found it unbearable that she asked him to ask Black Chain, knowing that Black Chain wouldn’t answer his question.

Just earlier, he had asked Black Chain a question, but Black Chain ignored him. She was there when it happened, so there was no way she didn’t know that Black Chain would ignore him again if he asked another question. Because of this, he was sure that she was messing with him.

Eventually, Martial Will said something to her. In his anger, he said, "This is why I want to tear you apart most of the time."

"I know," she said with a short laugh.

What they didn’t expect was that Black Chains would speak now. He still had his eyes closed as he said, "I lost."

No matter what he would like to believe and no matter how he thought the dragon shouldn’t be this strong, the fact remained that he had lost. That was the fact, and it was clear to everyone.

His opinion couldn’t affect the fact, no matter how much he wished it. The only thing that was up to him was whether to accept this fact or not. Clearly, he had accepted the fact now.

"But it was only a battle. I lost that battle. I haven’t lost the war."

As soon as he finished speaking, the rift in front of him closed, and his figure disappeared. Then Martial Will burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! What a loser."

Martial Will had laughed many times before, but this round of laughter was different. This time, he was laughing so hard that the rift in front of him became unstable.

The rift flickered on the verge of collapse many times. He had to struggle to keep it open. But because of his laughing, he couldn’t focus long enough to maintain the rift.

He was laughing as if he had just heard the funniest thing in all of his life. Things got so bad that the rift eventually closed in on his face. Only then was his laughter cut off.

Unfortunately for them, the rift reappeared. In just a few seconds, Martial Will successfully ripped open a new tear in the boundary of the Sea of Worlds, and his laughter came booming through the tear like a sound amplifier.

The rift had opened at another position in the sky, but it was the same Martial Will laughing through it, and it was the same insufferable laughter.

Everyone else thought his laughter was insufferable because they didn’t think there was anything worth laughing for at the moment. They were all solemn and taking Black Chain’s words seriously. Only Martial Will thought something was funny.

In between bouts of laughter, Martial Will said, "Can you get a load of that guy? He is so full of himself."

"You would think his recent humiliating defeat would teach him to be more humble. But he seems he hasn’t learned a thing. He lost so grandly, yet he is still so delusional."

Down below, the Blessed Heaven World was shaking. The source of the vibration was coming from the Central Domain.

Something was happening to the Central Domain, and because the Central Domain was at the center of the world, the impact of this change was affecting the other domains.

The whole Central Domain was moving to the edge of the world. Something was coming out of the ground, which was pushing aside the Central Domain.

The commotion was so great that the ground was splitting open all over the place and sinkholes were appearing everywhere. Mountains, hills, lakes, and other water bodies were changing too. The whole world was changing in ways it had never done before.
