Chapter 994: Truth Or Lies.

Clearly, she cared a lot about Loki. Unfortunately, Loki didn’t listen to her. He ignored her words and entered the tear in space.

After he reached the third dimension, he began to rise to the sky. Seeing this, Heavenly Eye felt some regret. She clicked her tongue in anger as she thought, ’Maybe I went too far with this.’

’Maybe I shouldn’t have asked for so much from Tepid Scholar. If I didn’t, he wouldn’t have needed to incite the will of the world to do his dirty business.’

’And maybe I shouldn’t have tried to get the Forging Supreme Metac for free from the dragon. I could have bought it from him before selling it at a higher price to Tepid Scholar instead of getting it for free before reselling it. Clearly, he is too greedy for his own good.’

’He was being threatened, but the thing he decides to do instead of running away is to try and steal more Supreme Metacs. How can someone as greedy as him allow himself to be cheated?c

"What does he need more Supreme Metacs for anyway? Is his acquisition of more Supreme Metacs just to prepare for when he becomes a Dao Lord? Isn’t that a bit too ambitious?"

This was one of the things many of the Dao Lords were confused about, not just Heavenly Eye. They felt that he was being too greedy.

Not to mention that the maximum limit possible for a Dao Lord was ten pathways, but there is also the important fact that no Dao Lord could assimilate just about any Supreme Metac they encounter. So Loki’s behavior was very confusing to them.

What’s more, he didn’t think about why he wanted more Supreme Metacs. His mind was simply focused on the task at hand and didn’t dwell on the purpose of the task.

His gaze was focused on the nine large stars in the sky of the third dimension. To him, they were like fruits hanging from a tree.

The tree in question his very tall and difficult to reach. But he can fly, so he can definitely reach the fruits. Then he will pluck the fruits from the tree and keep them for himself.

This was all the Dao Lords could glean from his mind. They saw a lot of images and intent, but no end goal for the fruits that he plucked.

As confusing as he was being, it didn’t distract Carefree Immortal from looking at Heavenly Eye and saying, "You said Black Chains successfully enslaved the will of your world. What is this we’re hearing about the will of your world regaining its freedom?"

With a voice full of disbelief, Immobile Mountain said, "Black Chains was defeated by this dragon? What kind of nonsense is that? What are you playing at?"

As for Green Fire, she said in a tone indicating sudden enlightenment, "No wonder Black Chains isn’t here to kill the dragon. So his hatred for dragons was as pure as he made it out to be."

In response to all of these questions and inquiries, Heavenly Eye said, "First of all, I never said that Black Chains successfully enslaved the will of the world. I only asked for a more plausible alternative, which you failed to give me."

"You were the one who assumed that Black Chains had succeeded in enslaving the world. So if there is anyone to be blamed for that, you have to bear the responsibility."

Then she said to Immobile Mountain, "Actually, you’re right. This is all a scheme to make you think Black Chains was defeated by that dragon."

"The truth is that Black Chains successfully enslaved the will of the world. Which one do you believe between the truth and the lie we’re trying to force on you?"

Immobile Mountain couldn’t answer. At this point, he didn’t know which was the truth and which was the lie because it was unbelievable that some random dragon no one knew about was able to defeat Black Chains.

Now that the dragon had entered the third dimension and was approaching the divine constellation, his attention was drawn to the arrangement of stars. In this arrangement, he noticed that the Supreme Metacs for the Death Pathway, Money Pathway, Forging Pathway, Enslavement Pathway, and the Mind Hunter Pathway were missing.

This should mean that the dragon managed to defeat and kill all five of Black Chain’s avatars. It was a conclusion that he was smart enough to come to quickly without much mental gymnastics. But he refused to believe this.

Instead of answering her question, looked around warily and asked, "What have you done? Is this an illusion?"

This made Martial Will chuckle and say, "It seems you’ve broken him."

Heavenly Eye shrugged and said, "He had to be there to see it. Even we found it unbelievable when it happened. But at least we can accept it after seeing it."

Down below, the will of the world said, "I didn’t expect this. Here I thought it would be difficult to bring you to the third dimension. Looks like you’ve made things easy for me."

The voice of the will of the world came from everywhere around him. It didn’t come from a single source as it did with the phantom dragon earlier.

As the voice reverberated across heaven and earth, it said, "Prepare for your downfall."

Loki didn’t respond to this. But he did smirk as he thought, ’You say you can imprison me or even kill me. Let’s see if you have the power to do what your mouth says.’

In his mind, he can already picture reaching the Supreme Metacs and taking them. In fact, he can also feel the texture of the Supreme Metacs on his hand as his hand touched them.

Just then, an invisible force field settled on him. The force field wrapped around him tightly, dragging him down and restricting his movements. It reminded him of a straitjacket used to restrict violent people.
