Chapter 524: Yeah
Chapter 524: Yeah
"Yeah, come sit here." Patting the cushion beside him, Virus signaled Aily to join him.
Afterward, while taking small sips of his alcoholic beverage, Virus opened the 'Basic Manual of Inner Ricando Facilities' handbook as he went through it carefully.
Since he wasn't really in any rush and had a lot of free time on his hands, Virus enjoyed the company of Aily while reading and compiling the information within the handbook inside his mindscape.
'Hmm…' When he was finished reading the entire guide, closing the book shut, Virus sunk into deep deliberation.
'So basically, two things decide the resources and the treatment a disciple receives in Poison Deity clan.'
'The first one is obviously the talent category one is put into.' According to the data he compiled from the guidebook, Virus determined that several factors determined the talent category of a disciple.
Woefully, the dreg was considered the worst of worst as his overall grade put him in the lowest Copper Category.
'And the second one is related to how many Clan Credits one possesses.'
On the subject of Clan Credits, Virus unearthed four methods through which a disciple can increase the number of their credits.
Foremost, each month, every disciple was to receive a monthly payment according to the current level of their talent category.
'Huh, sadly, Copper disciples receive ten clan credits alone…'
As for the second method, one can receive a specified and agreed amount of Clan Credits by accepting and finishing missions from the clan.
'I should check this out later on.' Rubbing his jaw, Virus got curious.
The third way was to exchange personal Qi Ingots in return for Clan Credits. The manual stated the exchange rate was set at 1:100, denoting every hundred Qi Ingots of first-grade could be exchanged for one credit.
'That means the monthly payment of ten credits is worth a thousand Qi Ingots. Even though copper talents are considered the worst, they can still be considered rich compared to the common citizens of Outer Ricando.'
Pondering up to that point, Virus noticed another small detail, 'Hmm, that makes me realize, that idiot Blaze must've spent half of his monthly allowance for extending his VIP membership in the brothel every month.'
Shaking his head in disappointment at the guy, Virus skipped to the next method which was also the final means stated in the guidebook.
Based on the manual, one can also increase their credit through doing meritorious deeds for the clan. However, as for what those meritorious deeds were or how they were evaluated, nothing was mentioned as it was left vague using a single sentence alone.
"Did anyone suspect you?" Tilting her head downward, Aily queried. From her tone, it was clear she was concerned about him.
"Not really. No worries though. As I told you, I'm confident about my disguise and no one would be able to see through me." He reassured her.
"But won't they be doubtful seeing how much your behavior has changed? I mean Blaze wasn't a nobody too, he is the younger son of the Deity faction's chief! So, the chief or the others may immediately see through your behavior change, don't you think so?" Ill at ease, she remained doubtful.
"That probably won't happen. You see, I've been studying Blaze's personality well over a month now, so I know how he generally interacts with other people." Going silent for a short moment, Virus continued, "Also, I don't think his other family members are really that interested in him."
"What do you mean?" Scratching her face in puzzlement, Aily asked.
With a sneer that was targetting Blaze, Virus elaborated. "Everyone treats him like worthless trash, even the guards are the same. He even seems to have been banished to the outermost vicinity of Inner Ricando by the others, which means nobody really sees him in a good light or cares enough to think about his well-being. Hence, there's no need for you to be concerned."
"I see…"
"What about you? Is everything fine in the brothel? The stewardess isn't giving you a hard time, is she? If she is, tell me, I'll talk to her for you."
To that, Aily merely shook her head. Yet, Virus could perceive some hints of depression in her body language.
"Is it hard? Being here I mean…" Blinking quizzically, Virus maintained eye contact.
"Well, not really, the stewardess doesn't usually bother me unless you're here… the other ladies are the same, in fact, they don't even talk to me." Reaching that point, Virus could easily determine that the issue was that Aily had been isolated and was feeling lonely now.
Observing her lonely figure for a few seconds, Virus reached out with his arms and covered her petite frame inside an embrace.
"Vee…?" Startled, Aily murmured.
"I'm going to need someone to receive me every day when I come over… but I plan on gradually reducing the daily duration of my visit. When I'm done, I'll set you free. So bear with it until then." Proclaiming that, displaying a half-smile, Virus let go of her, stood up, and left the room.
Truthfully, Virus was grateful for Aily's existence in the brothel since otherwise, he would've been forced to call over other women and engage in crazed sex activities just like the original Blaze.
However, now that Aily was there and seeing how Blaze had kidnapped Aily the previous night as if he had fallen for her, Blaze had provided that exact justification and excuse himself.
Thus, putting on the façade of Blaze being obsessed with her, Virus wanted to order the stewardess to bring Aily over every day and night. Furthermore, using the excuse of Vee and Blaze negotiating with each other and having come to an agreement on the issue, Virus wanted to prevent his Blaze persona from touching Aily for as long as possible.
Before departure, Virus went over to the stewardess since he had another unfinished business in mind.
"You're leaving, dear customer?" Bowing in respect, the stewardess preserved her professional bearings.
