Chapter 525: A Question
Chapter 525: A Question
"Yes, but before I go, I have a question for you." Mustering a sharp glare, Blaze inquired.
"Please go ahead, sir."
"How much are you willing to sell Aily to me?"
"Huh? You plan on buying her? Does the other VIP customer agree?" Alarmed, the stewardess recalled the fool in love that was most likely not going to take this news well.
"I'm just asking. Also, leave the issue of convincing Vee to me, we're best friends after all." Imitating Blaze's tone from the night before, Virus said.
Since he accepted taking responsibility, the stewardess had no reason to reject. Therefore, after some considerations, she proclaimed, "Well, to be honest, we don't usually sell our woman to others, but since you're a regular VIP client, we can make an exception for you. You can purchase her from us for ten thousand Qi Ingots."
Catching that price, Virus' eyes went wide open as he promptly objected, "Preposterous! You can buy women for a thousand or even less outside, why are you trying to rip me off like that?"
"Please calm down, sir. I'm not trying to rip you off. It's just that we tag our women according to their estimated net worth and the income they are expected to bring for us… and due to Aily's exceptional looks, ten thousand was the least calculated amount, so to be truthful, I'm offering you the bare minimum." She said while displaying a rictus grin.
She also did not forget to mention, "If it was someone else, trust me when I say I won't have been satisfied with anything less than fifteen thousand."
While furrowing his brows, with a simple read of her face, Virus determined that she was telling the truth. Thus, he decided not to haggle over the price more. "I understand. I'll try to gather that amount from now on, so don't you dare let anyone else touch or get near her except me and Vee, capeesh?"
"Yes, dear client."
"Alright, see ya tomorrow."
Watching Blaze's departing figure, the stewardess wondered to herself, 'Only one woman for today? Well, that's a rare occurrence, he must be really into Aily as well.'
…
Departing from the brothel, Virus didn't go to visit Archibald and others since he had no intention of revealing his disguise to them. Instead, going toward the inner gate, Virus returned to his cottage.
While sitting on his bed, entering a meditate state, Virus contemplated his goals and his following steps from now on.
'My priority is to figure out the location of the prisoners of Silver Sky sect.' During the last day he had been in Inner Ricando, Virus was yet to come across anyone from the Silver Sky sect or even hear any rumors or news about them.
'Other than that, I need to quickly fuse my last two pathways before breaking through to Sublimity Emergence.' He remarked with a clear-cut nod of his head to himself.
'And last but not least, I need to somewhat upgrade my talent class to at least Silver Category before breaking through to the next stage.'
Although there were other minor objectives Virus wanted to accomplish besides the goals stated above, those were the main three that he wished to achieve more than anything else right now.
"I require information for… most likely all three of my intents. Hmm, but how should I-"
Boom!
Rubbing his chin, Virus was busy muttering to himself when the door of his small hut was kicked and shattered into many broken pieces.
Jumping into a standing position, a crease crept over Virus' forehead as two tall men bent over and glared at him from the entrance.
"Oh, would you look at this? The trash dares to return so quickly nowadays! Come out, you fucking dreg! Seems like it's time to teach you another lesson!"
"Do you seriously want to die? Why are you still staring at us without moving your ass? Your smelly cottage is too disgusting for us to enter, so come out on your own before we run out of patience!
"Hmm?" Looking at his door that had been smashed into smithereens and the two tall men who kept urging him to come outside, Virus felt confused. 'Who are these two idiots?'
Still, since they had wrecked his door, putting Blaze's expected reaction in the situation, he wasn't willing to back down, so he strolled outside while maintaining an expressionless profile.
The moment he exited the door, both males looked at each other as one of them proclaimed, "Would you look at this dude? It seems he has really grown some balls again, for him to defy us like this and refuse to leave the inner region."
At the same time, one of them walked over and grabbed Virus by the collar. "You think we're a joke, don't you? Didn't we forbid you from staying in the inner region unless its night time and you're back to sleep? Are you trying to provoke us again, bitch?"
Listening to their nonstop blabbering, however, Virus came to be aware of a crucial factor. 'Oh, so that's why Blaze used to leave Inner Ricando to the outer city every single day… he was being threatened to not return unless it was to sleep…'
'Furthermore, based on their words, Blaze seems to have tried fighting and defending himself on few occasions, but he was probably too weak to deter them.' Indeed, from the analysis of Blaze's personality so far, Virus had come to realize that he was no pushover. Albeit, due to his lack of talent, he was most likely being bullied in the sect.
Therefore, seeing his collar grabbed like that, a dark expression covered Virus' face as he ground his teeth in hate. "Let go of me!"
Then, with a violent struggle, he released himself from the grasp of the two before creating some distance between them.
"Who sent you two?" Virus questioned, wanting to see their reactions.
The moment they heard that question, for a split second, both of the bullies' expressions cringed before restoring their calm altogether. "Huh? What the fuck are you talking about? Who would bother sending us after useless trash like you? Are you even worth it?"
