When Virus was done inspecting some of the attached papers on the board, he came to realize an important factor.
'Seems like it's more time-consuming and dangerous for normal disciples to complete a mission unless they have an expertise like Blacksmithing or Pillsmithing.'
Indeed, Virus had already determined unless he took the route of Blacksmithing or Pillsmithing which was going to result in quicker and more gains, the other tasks were not suitable for him.
'Unfortunately, first, I need their relevant certificate issued by their respective Alliances if I want to accept any of those duties.' Shaking his head in some disappointment, Virus knew they were unavailable to him for the moment.
Alas, since the requirement of the certificate had been added, Virus couldn't take on any of them indeed.
By the side, discerning the scowl on Virus' face, Arsalan guessed none of the missions on the wall had satisfied him. Hence, he consoled him. "No worries, young master, most of the missions are updated on a daily basis as a lot of new ones appear every day."
He added, "So we can just return tomorrow."
"Is that so?" In the meantime, Virus thought internally, 'Should I really go back and return tomorrow?'
However, it was at this time when Virus' eyes fell upon a certain mission which he deemed acceptable for the day at least.
…
[Copper Mission: Daily Guardian. Escort and be the customer's guardian for the rest of the day.
Level of Danger: Uncertain.
Requirements: Peak of Qi Circulation or higher. {A/N: By peak, the mission center means the sixth level of Liberation.}
Rewards: 2 Clan Credits, no clan achievement.
Penalty: A loss of 2 Clan Credits and other possible repercussions upon failure.]
…
The moment Virus went through that paper fixed on the wall, he decided, 'Well, I wanna at least do something for today… and that seems to be better than nothing.'
Since the other permitted missions consumed too much time, left with that option alone, Virus reached out and grabbed ahold of it.
"Let's go. I wanna do this one for today. We'll be returning tomorrow and hope for a better one." He declared with resolve.
Afterward, with Arsalan in the lead, he was guided to another room on the same floor.
"This is the reception, young master. Anyone who sets his mind on a mission comes here and officially initiates the task."
Listening to him, Virus' eyes were momentarily drawn to the counter and the woman standing behind it. However, that lasted for a few seconds alone before his eyes were fixed on the board behind her.
Currently, on the board at her back, there were several mission papers attached there, waiting for others to pick any on display.
"What are those? You didn't tell me there was a board here as well." Pointing at the board, Virus questioned.
"Oh… that," surprised by the question, Arsalan clarified, "the reason why I didn't tell you anything about that board is that it's not for the disciples. Rather, it's for everyone. It's called the General Board."
Understanding there was a need for further clarification, Arsalan continued, "It doesn't matter whether you're a disciple, an elder, or even a servant like me, as long as one deems himself capable of finishing the task, anyone is allowed to receive it."
He paraphrased next, "In other words, there are no requirements as long as one deems himself worthy."
"Huh?" Even more intrigued now, Virus' sight was locked on the board and the series of responsibilities on them.
[General Mission: Be a gardener and grow a stalk of Everyellow Ponty Stick Plant. The expected duration is between a month to two years. The longer the seed stays in the soil, the bigger it will grow and the higher its final quality will be.
Level of Danger: Safe.
Rewards: Although the reward depends on the final quality of the grown material, the least reserved prize starts from 5 Clan Credits for every stalk and it can only get more the better the grown plant is.
Penalty: No loss of Clan Credits, only required to replace and return the offered seed upon failure.]

…
Reading through some of the missions attached there, Virus' pupils beamed in expectation.
Although there were several tasks he was drawn to, those two mentioned above attracted him the most.
Thus, throwing away the paper he had picked from the Copper Board, Virus pointed at the gardening task of growing a stalk of Everyellow Ponty Stick Plant. "I want to accept that mission." Just like that, he made his choice between the two.
Subsequently, the reception lady went through Blaze's identity plaque and when she was done jotting down the details, she handed Virus a single seed of the Everyellow Ponty Stake Plant.
However, instead of receiving the seed, Virus shook his head. "No, I don't want one seed alone. Give me ten of those."
"Ah, young master… are you sure you want to grow that many plants? Are you intending on becoming a full-time gardener?" Arsalan said speechlessly.
"Please let me give you a piece of advice… don't accept gardening-type jobs. Growing seeds and plants is an extremely hard and demanding task and it requires lots of daily attention and even then there is no guarantee it is going to work out!" He persuaded impatiently.
Nonetheless, paying his advice no heed, Virus was adamant. "I'm sure. Give me ten."
