Chapter 504: Demonic Civil War

"So, what brings you to the demon world, besides you making me the new Demon Queen, of course." Yorrigan led Kai and Telia to her tent, pulling up a chair for both of them to sit on.

"We’re looking for a band of people from the mortal world that can use demonic energy. We think they are hiding in the demon world." Telia explained.

"You don’t have to think, they are. We’re currently in a war."

"A war?" Kai asked

"That’s right. A few years ago, no more than three, some dude claiming to be the son of a goddess came here and demanded our assistance. We declined, of course, but he was empowered by some type of insane energy, and he took over the demon world."

"Probably Progenitor Decay. I swear it’s a fucking plot device at this point. Anyway, I can assume this invader became the new demon king?"

"No, actually. He left the previous demon king in charge, but the guy is nothing but a puppet. After that, he forced demons to empower his little army of small people from the mortal world."

’Did she just call us small people?’ Kai asked himself.

"He actually ordered us to fight for him, but we were not interested, so he killed one of our trusted leaders, sparking a civil war."

"So Carliodas really is here, huh? Heh, I can’t wait to wrap my hands around his neck and choke the life out of that stupid bastard!"

"What’s her deal?" Yorrigan asked

"Carliodas is her brother, whom she hates and wants to kill."

"Ahh. Well, your aid will be very much appreciated. We haven’t been able to push the enemy back because a lot of the more powerful demons sided with Carliodas since they like the chaos."

"Sure. Here, take this." Kai gave her a stick.

"A stick?"

"Yes." He smiled

"What am I supposed to do with this? Throw it so my dog can catch it and bring it back to me?"

"What? No. Just hit your enemy with it, and they will instantly die."

Yorrigan paused. She looked at the stick, then at Kai, then back at the stick.

"Are you sure?"

"Do you want to become the demon queen or not?" Kai asked

"Okay, I’ll believe you. Oh, and if you want to talk to some mortals, they’re over there in that large cage."

Kai and Telia turned around to see three people captured: a human, an elf, and a dwarf.

"Oh yeah, I’m going to get some good information out of them." Telia cracked her knuckles and walked over to them with a sadistic smirk on her face.

Back on the Windonia continent, Sasha and Kyana were roaming the streets, trying to find the traps that were hidden around the city.

"Where’s Kai when you need him? Looking for these traps will take forever!" Sasha groaned.

"Pfft, be real. Even if Kai were here, he wouldn’t try to find them right away. You know how he is with his sense of adventure. The city would blow up before he used his powers to find them."

Sasha chuckled. "That’s true. He would act like he doesn’t know what he’s doing just to say he expierenced no knowing that to do when it came to whatever he was doing."

"That’s our husband, if you can believe it or not. Haha, but I wouldn’t change him in any way."

"Agreed. He’s so hot, and sexy, and handsome, and fuck, his dick feels so good! I’m gonna ask him to have sex with me with he comes back!" Sasha made up her mind; she was now a sex addict.

"You and me both, girl. I need him inside me right now."

As they continued to walk around, a little boy ran into them by accident, dropping a pastry he had in his hands.

"You’d best watch where you’re going, little boy." Kyana picked him up and dusted his clothes.

"I-I-I’m sorry! P-Please forgive me!" The boy bowed, tears forming in his eyes.

"It’s okay, little one. I know it was an accident." Kyana reached into the shared storage space Kai gave them access to and pulled out some gold coins.

"Go ahead and buy yourself another pastry, okay?"

The boy’s eye lit up, and he nodded. Thanking Kyana before leaving. He returned to an older woman, his mother or master, and showed her the coins.

When the woman saw this, she turned around, bowing to Kyana and Sasha before leaving.

"Man, I want kids now." Kyana sighed

"Yeah, me too."

"Nah, you don’t need kids. You’re gonna teach them how to be thieves."

"What?! That’s not true! I’ll simply teach them the value of money, that’s all!"

"Haha, sure."

Just then, a loud explosion startled the two of them, shaking the ground from the shockwave and causing people to scream and panic.

After a few seconds, another explosion went off, then another, and another.

In total, five explosions went off, sending the city into chaos.

"Well, I guess we found out where the traps were." Sasha chuckled

"Now’s not the time for that. Come on, let’s help these people."

Kyana put out a good portion of the raging fire using water spirits while Sasha cleared the rubble that toppled onto people.

Over at the front gate of the kingdom, an army of men rode swords into the city, entering the capital. "Kekekekekeke! The city is ours for the taking, boys! Kill everyone in sight!"

"Sword Sect! Protect the people!" Nuela shouted.

Thousands of women rushed into battle, cutting down men left and right, but they also lost some of their members in the process.

"Mystic Sect, aid the Sword Sect!" Sagana shouted.

"Thanks, Sagana."

"Thank me when this is over. I knew something like this was going to happen, but I didn’t think it would happen mere hours after the Empress left."

"Do you think there is a traitor?" Neula asked

"There has to be, otherwise how would they know that the Empress is gone?" Sagana blocked an attack with a fan and used ice arts to freeze the person to death.

"We need to find out who they are!"

"No, we need to survive this onslaught first!"
