Chapter 526: That’s a lot of gods
Chapter 526: That’s a lot of gods
"The future king of the pirates? You’re a pirate?" Thalia was confused. Pirates weren’t really a thing in her era, and she didn’t know there was a king who led the pirates.
"I’m just messing with you. My name is Kai, nice to meet you. I’m from outside. Aera and Telia sent me to help."
"Empress Telia and Goddess Area? They haven’t forgotten about me!"
"Nope. They still chant your name in the halls of the royal castle as well."
"Really?"
"No idea, I just wanted to say that. I’m new anyway, so that might actually be the case, but I wouldn’t know."
"O-Oh."
"YOU FUCKING MORTAL!" The god charged toward the two of them, Thalia reading her blade while Kai just stood still and smiled
"Heh, look at this guy, thinking he’s going to do—OOOOOOOOOOOOOF!" Kai flew out of the castle after getting kicked in the chest.
The god then formed a large sword out of divine energy and threw it toward Kai with all his might.
"Ahhhh—Okay, let me lock in real quick." Kai stopped his momentum, grabbed the divine sword, then rocketed right next to the god and thrust the sword into his chest.
"Nngghh!! H-How the—"
"What? Surprised?" Kai smiled. "I bet you’re so used to beating up on these poor mortals that when you encounter a god, you don’t know what to do."
Both the god and Thalia’s eyes widened upon hearing his words.
"Y-You’re a god?" Thalia asked, slightly backing away.
"That’s right. But I’m not with him, fucking loser." To be a dick, Kai injected Progenitor Decay inside the god’s body until he exploded. He then absorbed his divine essences to strengthen his own power.
"Well, that was fun. Time to head back now."
"What do you mean?" Thalia didn’t understand where Kai was going.
"Huh? I beat the god who was keeping you all trapped here, right?"
"N-No. That was only her lackey. There are a lot more of them to get through."
He frowned. "How much is ’a lot more’?"
"Look up."
Kai did as she said and saw hundreds of gods hovering over the place, their divine presence causing the castle to crumble.
"The fuck?!"
Thalia placed her sword in the ground and accepted her fate. "This cycle has been a failure. I hope to see you on the next one since you’re a god."
Kai picked up her sword and held it over his shoulder. "The fuck are you doing? You wont win if you give up like that."
Thalia admired Kai’s confidence and resolve, but it was no use against the hundreds of gods that stood in their way.
"It’s okay, Kai. Sometimes, accepting your fate is the only way to move forward."
As the gods descended, Kai frowned. "That’s only an excuse the weak would use."
He spun the sword around and swung at the air, a powerful divine slash decimating one hundred gods in one go.
"If you truly wish to be strong, then you stand and continue fighting until the very end. That’s what makes you strong." He gave Thalia back her sword, then his power erupted from his body.
"What the heck?!"
"How’s he so strong?!"
"We need to kill him right now!"
"Stop him before he reaches mother!"
All of the gods swarmed the castle, using their power to destroy the rogue god who stood before them. They held nothing back, using their most powerful attacks, most advanced spells, and all of their divine strength to eliminate the threat.
Kai, who welcomed all of this, smiled and took one step forward. He held up his arm, then brought it down in front of him. Pure destruction rained down from his hand swip in the form of a slash, and all of the gods, no matter where they were, died instantly.
To say that Thalia was shocked was an understatement. She couldn’t even comprehend the power Kai had just used and felt as if she amounted to nothing but an ant in his presence.
As the hero, this hurt her pride, her ego, seeing someone who looked younger than her be so powerful. But she had to accept the reality she was in.
"See, never back down and never give up. The path forward is by FORCING YOUR WAY THROUGH AND SLAUGHTERING ALL OF YOUR ENEMIES! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"A-Are you okay?"
Kai cleared his throat. "Yes. Sorry. I just got excited for a bit." Clenching his fists, Kai absorbed all of the divine essences from the gods, adding them to his own power.
He could feel himself evolving, becoming stronger, becoming a Titan. Still, he was a long way from becoming one; any type of progress was good progress in his eyes.
"Interesting." A heavy presence descended onto Kai and Thalia, nearly crushing the woman to death. Kai had to shield her with his power in order to prevent her from flying.
Kai sensed where the presence had come from, and he saw a woman sitting on a throne, her legs crossed with a wine glass in her hand. She wasn’t a God like Area and Telia had told him, she was a Titan, one more powerful than the body Aion used.
"Ohhh fuck!" Kai knew his limits. He was powerful, extremely powerful, but a Titan was too much for him.
"Do you know how a mother would feel if you killed her children?" The Titaness asked.
"Pretty angry," Kai responded
"Pretty angry indeed." The force of her presence increased tenfold, Kai’s legs sinking into the ground while his shield over Thalia started to crack.
"So those guys were your children, huh? I was wondering how multiple gods ended up in here. You birthed them on your own. No wonder they looked like inbred piles of shit."
"You dare!" The Titaness descended in front of Kai and stuck her hand out to kill him.
"The Progenitor," Kai spoke.
She froze, stopping her assault, and backed away slightly. "What did you say?"
"The Progenitor. Know who he is?"
"What god doesn’t? Why are you bringing him up?"
"I’m...." His voice didn’t come out.
"I’m....." Again, he couldn’t speak what he wanted.
’Leo, you mother fucker!’
’Beat her with your own strength, not my influence.’
’Bitch!’
"I’m someone who knows him. Ha!"
"I know him as well."
"Oh." Kai hoped that would work.
"Well, do you know about this?" He made his entire body leak Protenitor Decay, causing the Titan to back away since she knew it would infect her.
"You! How can you use this power?!"
"I’m just built different, bitch!" He ran away. He was indeed not built different.
