Chapter 547: Aion, the great bastard
Chapter 547: Aion, the great bastard
"Pathetic." Aion expected Kai to win, but not like this. Titans were not weak in the slightest. He knew that Kai had only become a Titan a few days ago and assumed he would still be getting the hang of his power, but that wasn’t the case.
"L-Lord Aion, Kai is approaching the castle. Should we send the rest stop him?" A god asked, running into the throne room.
"No. Let Kai come. I want to have a chat with my brother. Prepare a feast."
"Ahh! A poison feast! I understand, sire!"
"No, a regular feast. No tricks."
"But isn’t your goal to kill him? Why wouldn’t we—"
Aion killed the man for asking too many questions. He called in another god and told him to prepare a feast without any tricks.
"I can’t wait to speak with you, little brother."
---
"Odd. I expected some resistance upon approaching the castle." Kai looked around, and the only thing that approached him was the wind.
"Meh, oh well. Knock knock, bitch!" Just as he was about to punch down the gate, the two large doors opened.
"Welcome, brother of Ai—" Before the god could finish speaking, their head was taken off by a beam of light.
"Ahhh! Oh, fuck! Bro scared the shit out of me. I thought I was being ambushed."
Looking down at the headless god, Kai felt bad for the man. He didn’t mean to kill the guy, but oh well, what’s done is done, is how Kai saw things.
Walking over his corpse, Kai headed into the royal courtyard, admiring what once was here, then made his way to the castle doors. He opened them and was met by a row of gods on each side, bowing to him.
"Welcome, brother of Lord Aion. The Lord awaits you in the dining hall." They all said in unison
"Heh, did you guys practice that beforehand to make sure you didn’t fuck it up?"
No one answered, but they all looked a bit embarrassed because they did indeed practice this beforehand.
"Where’s the dining hall?" Kai asked
"Carl will take you there." A god responded
"Who’s Carl?"
"He’s the one who greeted you at the front gate."
"Ohhhhh! Him. You see, he’s dead."
"W-What?! D-Did you kill him?"
"Yeah. The bastard attacked me. You see, I have something called a Carl Sense."
"Carl Sense?" They all looked at Kai as if he were saying bullshit, which he was.
"Yeah. It allows me to sense people who are named Carl and see if they are a danger or not. So, I had to kill the guy since he was planning on attacking me. Fucking Carls."
No one bought his story, but they weren’t going to do anything about it. They knew that Kai could kill all of them if he wanted to, so they decided to go along with things.
"I-I see. Well, that’s good. Lord Aion ordered us not to bring any harm to you, so he got what was coming. Please, this way, I will take you to the dining hall."
"No." Kai refused. "You." He pointed to a goddess who was very beautiful. "Lead me to the dining hall."
"Y-Yes, Sir Kai."
Kai didn’t want to walk behind a man when being taken to the dining hall.
’Nice ass.’
The goddess knew what he was doing and allowed it, not that she could stop him. If she managed to get in his good graces, then she would survive if Kai killed his brother.
Everyone knew that Aion saw them all as disposable and would toss them out if they messed up even once, so she saw Kai as the nicer brother, not knowing that he was going to kill them all regardless.
"We are here."
"Sweet, thanks." Kai entered and saw his brother sitting at the table, food plastered all over it.
"Kai! My favorite little brother! Welcome! Please, have a seat, enjoy the food, and let’s have a chat."
Kai took a seat and looked at the food on the table. He frowned, then tossed every dish onto the floor.
"All of that looks like shit. Besides, I won’t eat anything you have prepared."
Aion frowned. "Hey, I went through great lengths to make sure you were fed properly. I may be evil in your eyes, but I’m not a cruel older brother."
"Really? Then why did you kill our siblings who decided that you were going to far with your ambitions?"
"I don’t like traitors."
"But you’re fine with me?"
"We barely know each other, little brother."
"And that gives you the excuse to kill me upon seeing me for the first time?"
He shrugged. "At least it wasn’t personal."
"Sure. What do you want? I’m sure we’re not here to talk."
"Heh. I want you." He smiled
"I’m not into men, or incest."
The urge to rip Kai apart crossed Aion’s mind, but he calmed himself. Losing control would only give Kai the upper hand, so he presented himself properly.
"Work for me. Together, we can craft the universe in our image. Do you even know how terrible a job our Father is doing?"
"Yeah. He sucks, doesn’t he?" Kai nodded
"So you’ve seen it? The way he handles the affairs of the universe? He’s a blow this place up first and ask questions later kind of guy."
"Right. And you’re not?"
Aion smiled. "Fair point. But I at least give worlds a chance to survive."
"Is that why you poisoned this world with Progenitor Decay?"
"I did that to make you stronger. And look at you now, it worked."
Kai laughed. "You know, Leo, Nemean, he promised me something. He told me that once I become a primordial, he will allow me to recreate the universe, no, the infinateverse in my own image."
This piece of information made Aion angry. His whole life, he wished to have that exact position, yet when he acted to achieve it, he was locked up for billions of years.
"And even our mother doesn’t care about you. She told me that I’m not only her favorite son, but she wished only I was born, and not the other 10 failures that you boys were. Our sisters are cool, though."
"Heh. Are you trying to piss me off?" Aion’s power ignited, and the entire castle started to tremble.
"I don’t know. Am I?" Kai released his power as well, causing the castle to start rocking violently.
"Once I finish killing you, I’ll use your body to kill everyone you love and take the universe as my own!"
Kai looked Aion straight in the eyes, leaning forward. "Dude, that’s sus as fuck."
"MOTHERFUCKER!" Aion lost it and lunged at Kai.
