Chapter 557: The party
Chapter 557: The party
The power that Kai felt was immense, so immense that he felt like he was going to explode. That, of course, didn’t happen, but he did need to take a seat to calm his raging mind. There was so much going on in his mind, so much knowledge of the universe seeping into his body, and he didn’t understand any of it.
By becoming a primordial, Kai was instantly gifted with the knowledge and power of every Universal Law. He could see and interact with the building blocks of the universe, and he felt as if he could shape it to his own will.
When he looked around, everything seemed different. He was looking at everything at the same time, every dimensional plane, light spectrum, micro and macro verses, souls, particles, regular or subatomic, the antimatter particles, and he could even see the dark matter and energy of the universe.
Kai didn’t even know that mana was dark energy and dark matter.
He stuck out his hand to rearrange the building blocks of the universe in one specific area, not too big but not small either. He made it the size of a pocket dimension, one similar to what he already had, and once it was created, a whole mini universe was created.
"W-Whoa!" But then he felt extremely weak, his universe collapsed, and then he fell flat on his face, out of breath and power.
"W-What just happened?"
"Hahahahaha! You used too much of your elementary power, man. Creating a universe when you don’t even have a grasp of your new abilities yet? That’s a no-go, bro." Leo waved his hand over Kai’s body, restoring him to full strength.
"Dude, I can manipulate the freaking universe! Can all primordials do that?!"
Leo shook his head. "No. Only people with the spark, a part of my being, can. So, only my children. And even then, only you have that inside yourself. All of your primordial siblings can manipulate aspects of the universe to a higher degree than a regular primordial can, but since you have the spark of creation inside you, you’re basically another version of me."
"Hmm, I don’t know how I feel about being your copy."
"You’re not literally my copy. You’re—"
"I know what you mean. I’m just fucking with you. But, because you’re the progenitor, does this mean that your demigod, god, and titan children are stronger than normal as well, like I was?"
"Yup."
"Heh, you told me that you killed all of your divine children because they tried to take over the universe. I guess that was a lie."
Leo remembered telling Kai that. He didn’t feel like going over his family tree, so he dumbed it down for Kai.
"Yeah, well, I simply meant those who actively tried. Besides, I only have two kids with each of my concubines. The rest are their own families."
"Two each with your concubines, but twelve with mom? Insane."
"Your mother takes priority in everything, no questions asked."
"Fair enough. She’s pretty scary."
"Indeed."
Maybe Kai got his love for strong women from his father.
"So I can like, blast the universe out of existence?"
"Yeah, but not in your current state. Besides, why would you want to do that?"
"No, I’m not saying I would want to do it, I’m just wondering if I could, you know?"
"I guess. Anyway, Clarisse, continue showing him the ropes, please. The party is going to start soon."
"Yes, my lord."
"Ohhhh shit! The party! Can I come?" Kai had completely forgotten about that. It felt as if he was training for days on end.
"You were training for days on end."
"Stop reading my mind!"
"You’re an open book. Time passes by differently in Divinity City. I mean, we’re inside a freaking black hole for crying outloud."
"W-Wait, seriously?!" Kai’s eyes lit up. He thought that was epic.
"No. I just wanted to see the dumb, happy look on your face." He left.
"I really hate that guy."
---
Since Kai had put Leo on the spot, he had to hurry up and plan a party. With his abilities, this was an easy feat, but he wanted to make it extra special since Kai would be the main character of the day.
"Are you proud of him?" Cassie asked, leaning on Leo’s shoulder as she watched the servants set out food and drinks
"Extremely proud. I’d never say that to his face, though."
"I’m pretty sure you have a few times."
"Eh, I wouldn’t say it now, how about that?"
"Fufu, that’s not nice, you know."
"Neither is that son of yours. Look at all of this. I had to do this at the last minute."
"But you’re still making sure everything is as good as it can be." Cassie kissed him on the cheek
"Well, yeah. If I’m going to do something, might as well do it to the best of my abilities."
"Sure. It’s definitely not because of your favourite child."
He shook his head. "Definitely not."
A few hours later in Divinity City time, the party was ready, and everyone was invited. Of course, not everyone attended, but there were still over a billion guests present at the party.
Kai dressed as best as he could, his mother picking out his outfit in fact, and walked into the banquet hall along side Uria.
He was already hating being there.
"Kai!" Kassandra waved her hand, urging him over to the table she was sitting at alongside everyone else.
When Kai saw his entire family there, his eyes lit up, and he rushed over to them while holding Uria’s hand.
"You guys are here! All of you! Even Skaradrel and the others!" Kai was happy to see everyone.
Skaradrel, the orc woman Kai impregnated, alongside her aids, looked human with green skin, so it wasn’t like they looked like monsters. All of them were present with his children, who were half-orc, half-deity.
His other children were also there, sitting on their mother’s laps. But then, Kai noticed something.
"Hold on! All of you are demigods!" It had been at most a week since he had seen them, his travels through space being cut short since Leo teleported them the rest of the way, and they had already become demigods.
But that wasn’t all, Gwen, Amaya, Sasha, Nadya, and Kyana were actually full-blown gods, including Fiji.
"Surprised?" Jessa asked.
"Very."
"We wanted to surprise you." Vanessa smiled.
"Color me surprised, then, because you guys were not like this during my event."
"We were actually. Mother-in-Law just hid our divine essence from you." Sonya clarified.
"Oh, well, that’s freaking awesome!" Kai was happy that every single one of his girls, even the ones he hadn’t gotten pregnant yet, was not only here but also stepped into the realm of the gods.
"So, are you going to introduce us to this lovely lady?" Erika asked
"She better not be a new wife." Vanira hissed.
"Ahem. Everyone, this is Uria, my servant, but I’m gonna take her as a wife cause she’s awesome. Meet the family, Uria."
"N-Nice to meet you." She bowed. "Please take care of me."
"Join us." Sophia pulled up a chair.
As Uria sat down and Kai started playing with his daughters, a group of people walked over to their table.
Kai was instantly on edge and instinctively started protecting his family with his power subtly.
"S-Sir Kai! Hello! It’s an honor to meet one of Lord Nemean’s children! May I shake your hand?!" A god asked
"No," Kai responded coldly.
"T-That’s unfortunate. May I take a picture with you?"
"I guess." He got up, took a picture with the group, then sat down.
After that group had left, this urged more and more people to get up and talk with Kai. Maybe it was karma, but Kai started to get very annoyed. He liked being the center of attention only for a tiny bit, like what he did at the ceremony, but events like this weren’t his style.
When he was about to tell everyone to leave him alone, Leo spoke to him in his head, telling him that this was his fault and he purposely didn’t have a party because he knew Kai wouldn’t like it. So, he had to deal with it.
Because of that, Kai sucked it up and continued to power through the literal thousands of people talking to him.
"You have a lovely family, Sir Kai. Your wives are very beautiful." One Titan smiled, his gaze focused on Erika.
"Yeah, I know. They’re the best. Now, stop looking at them before I gouge your eyes out and feed them to you before ripping your head off."
That jolted the man back to reality, and he left without making a scene, a bit of fear running down his spine.
"You don’t have to be rude, dear." Erika was holding their sleeping daughter in her arms, smiling at Kai.
"Yeah, but I don’t have to be nice either."
"You got a lot of fine bitches, ha!" A drunk primordial who looked to be around the same age as Kai strolled over to their table. He appeared to be drunk off divine wine as he was struggling to stand straight.
"All of them have such big tits and round asses. I bet they feel good when you fuck them, huh? Ha, and they breed like livestock."
Everyone in the hall went silent and looked over at Kai’s table to see what was going to happen next. Even Leo pulled out his popcorn and handed some to Cassie.
"Oh dear." Telia already knew what was about to happen, as well as everyone else.
Kai had to really replay what he had heard over and over again in his head to make sure he wasn’t hearing things, and when he was sure he didn’t hear anything incorrectly, he stood up and faced the drunk deity.
"What did you just say?" His voice was cold, full of malice, and brimming with power.
"Hick~I-I said that your wives can get this dic—"
Kai had never punched a man in the face so hard and so fast before in his life.
