Chapter 1000: The Truth About Seira’s Reincarnation (2)
Nolan’s eyes widened at those words. But the next moment, he quickly regained his composure and gently patted her back.
"You’re just too tired, Your Majesty. Get some rest."
"No!" Seira protested, shaking her head. "I’m not drunk! You really do look just like him! Your face, your appearance—everything about you is so much like that man. The man I love."
Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes as she gently stroked Nolan’s face.
"Hey, tell me. Are you his reincarnation?"
Nolan remained silent. His expression grew complicated, tinged with sadness.
"Tell me!"
Seira grabbed his collar and shook him.
"I’ve been waiting for him. I’ve been looking forward to this moment. Why... why don’t you remember me?"
Her tears flowed freely as she sobbed in his arms.
"Tell me, I beg you. Are you Nolan Frey?"
Nolan closed his eyes before pulling her into his arms.
"Yes. It’s me, Nolan Frey."
Seira’s body trembled when she heard his answer.
Nolan waited in silence. Second after second passed, but Seira still didn’t respond.
When he looked down, he realized that Seira had already fallen fast asleep in his arms.
"Pfft!" Nolan couldn’t help but laugh. "This woman really is..."
He picked her up and gently laid her on the sofa before calling the maids to take her back to her room.
"I’m sorry, Mr. Frey. Her Majesty is very drunk. I’ll prepare a room for you," the head maid said.
Nolan waved his hand.
"No need. I have to head back first."
The head maid hesitated. She wanted to persuade Nolan to stay at the palace, but seeing his determined expression, she decided against it.
Who knew if Seira might need him?
But she didn’t dare force him to stay, so she simply nodded.
"I’ll have the carriage prepared. Please wait here."
Nolan had no objections.
After leaving the office, Nolan didn’t leave the palace right away. Instead, he leisurely strolled through the imperial palace.
The conversation from earlier was still etched in his mind.
"Now everything is clear. Seira is the same Seira as my fiancée," he muttered, his expression turning somber. "Fate is truly cruel."
He didn’t know whether he should be happy or not. On one hand, she was the woman he loved most. Even after starting his second life, those feelings hadn’t faded.
If anything, they had only grown stronger, eventually becoming an obsession.
But on the other hand, she was also his older sister.
It was impossible for him to marry his own sister, wasn’t it?
Aside from the fact that he didn’t want to, it would also be wrong. Nolan wasn’t the kind of person who would do something that reckless.
"Those damn gods..." he growled angrily.
They had not only tormented him by erasing everyone’s memories of him but had also forced him into this terrible dilemma.
Without realizing it, Nolan had walked quite a distance. He was already standing in the private courtyard on the right side of the palace.
He looked around and muttered, "It’s been a long time since I left, but this place hasn’t changed at all."
It had been nearly eight months since he was last here. Usually, the decor would have changed after that long, but apparently, that wasn’t the case.
Nolan then headed to his old room. Since everyone had forgotten about him, he was curious to see what had become of it.
When he arrived, he opened the door and peeked inside.
At that moment, his masked face froze.
A beautiful woman was standing inside, lifting her clothes.
She had a flawless face that could captivate anyone who looked at her.
Her golden-brown hair fell all the way down to her hips.
She was wearing only black lingerie, which accentuated her alluring curves, especially her big chest and voluptuous hips.
The woman tossed her hair aside and was about to pick up her new clothes when she suddenly sensed a gaze from the side.
She turned her head, and her red eyes met Nolan’s wide purple eyes.
"Y-You..."
Before the woman could say anything else, Nolan hurriedly slammed the door shut and turned away, holding his breath.
Damn... how did that woman end up in my room!?
The woman was Freya Lorian, his fourth older sister. He never expected to find her occupying his old room.
"I have to get out of here fast!"
Freya was incredibly cruel. Back then, Nolan had often been beaten by her.
Fortunately, the old man had sent her off to the military, which allowed him to survive those days.
Even so, her cruel nature was still deeply rooted in his mind.
Just as Nolan was about to leave, the door suddenly slammed open, and Freya stepped out with a grim expression.
"Where are you going?"
She reached out to grab his arm, but Nolan quickly dodged her.
Freya’s anger flared up again. She crouched down before lunging forward and throwing a punch at his face.
Nolan easily avoided it.
The two engaged in a fierce fight, although it was really nothing more than Freya attacking relentlessly while Nolan continued to dodge.
Freya was astonished that Nolan managed to avoid every single one of her attacks.
She stopped, her eyes narrowing sharply.
"Tell me—who are you? Why did you break into my room?" she demanded, her voice dripping with murderous intent.
Nolan let out a long sigh.
Yes, there she was—the female gorilla of the imperial family, Freya Lorian.
Instead of talking things out, she preferred to use her fists to settle every problem.
Despite her beauty, she was terrifying and dangerous, like a rose covered in thorns.
Nolan brushed off his robe and calmly replied, "I’m a guest of the imperial court. My name is Frey. And I’m sorry—it was an accident. I didn’t mean to enter your room."
He bowed his head slightly. It was better to apologize now than risk getting into a conflict with this gorilla.
Freya furrowed her brow when she heard the name "Frey."
"Wait, don’t tell me you’re the owner of the Blue Moon Trading House?" she asked in surprise.
"Oh? How do you know who I am?"
"Seira told me yesterday."
She looked him up and down before giving a slight nod.
"Your fighting skills are pretty impressive. How about joining the military? I’ll give you a good position."
Her voice was full of enthusiasm.
The corner of Nolan’s mouth twitched.
See?
That was just how she was. She would do anything as long as it entertained her.
Nolan waved his hand.
"Sorry, I’m not interested."
Freya’s expression turned annoyed, but she couldn’t force him.
"If you change your mind, don’t forget to contact me."
Nolan laughed at that. Not even if his life depended on it would he join those crazy people.
Without saying another word, he turned around and walked away, casually waving his hand.
Freya watched him leave with a calculating gaze.
"That fighting style clearly isn’t something an ordinary person could learn. Who exactly is that man? Is he really just the founder of Blue Moon?"
