The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 725: Roseline Lorian

Chapter 725: Roseline Lorian

The soldier and Roseline walked closer, then stopped about two meters away from Nolan and Evalyn.

"You two..." Roseline stared at them in amazement.

They were nothing like what she had imagined. She had assumed they were ordinary people with unremarkable appearances.

Yet in reality, they were far more striking—both handsome and beautiful.

The man beside the woman stood out in particular, with his purple eyes and black hair.

Such features were clearly uncommon in the Great Velmora Empire and instead seemed more typical of people from the eastern continent.

Meanwhile, the woman beside him was equally captivating, but in a different way—her beauty was paired with a strong presence and a distinct aura of heroism.

What struck Roseline as strange was the inexplicable sense of closeness she felt toward both of them, especially the man.

It was as if they were connected by blood.

Roseline snapped out of her thoughts and regained her composure. "Who are you? And what do you mean by saying you know the Hero of Light?"

Her voice carried authority, along with a subtle pressure that made the nearby soldiers tremble slightly.

However, Nolan and Evalyn remained calm, as if unaffected.

With a faint smile, Nolan cupped his hands and gave a slight bow.

"Good morning, Your Highness. First, I apologize for disturbing your time. My companion and I do indeed know the Hero of Light. I can prove it," he said calmly, without the slightest hint of panic.

He glanced at Evalyn, who immediately understood his intention.

Evalyn reached into her pocket and pulled out a token, holding it up.

The emblem engraved on it was a lion with its mouth open—the symbol of the Lionheart family.

Roseline stared at it closely. She didn’t recognize the token, but she was certain it wasn’t an ordinary object.

The intricate engraving, along with the lion symbolizing courage, indicated it belonged to a prestigious family.

Still, since she didn’t recognize it, Roseline asked hesitantly, "What family’s emblem is this? Is it from another kingdom?"

Evalyn: "..."

Nolan let out a quiet sigh. He had already told her that the Lionheart family didn’t exist in this era.

Yet Evalyn insisted that her ancestor would definitely recognize it.

Now it was clear—even Roseline, the princess, didn’t recognize it. That could only mean one thing: the Lionheart family had not been established yet.

Nolan gently lowered Evalyn’s hand and took out his own token.

It was an imperial token belonging to the Lioran family.

Although they were from a thousand years in the future, the tokens of every prince and princess still shared the same shape and engravings.

The only difference was the name engraved on its surface.

When Roseline saw the token, her eyes widened instantly.

"An imperial family token?" she exclaimed. "How is that possible?"

Her previously calm and indifferent gaze toward Nolan shifted into shock and disbelief.

Nolan gave a faint smile. "It’s a long story. Can we talk somewhere quieter?"

He glanced at the surrounding soldiers.

Roseline snapped out of her shock and slowly nodded.

"I understand."

Although she was still full of confusion about how Nolan had obtained the token, she could tell he did not come with hostile intent.

Shortly after, she led Nolan and Evalyn to a special tent not far away.

Inside, there was no one else—only the three of them—indicating that Roseline trusted them enough to speak privately.

"Tell me—who are you?" Roseline asked in a heavy voice.

Nolan didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he looked into Roseline’s eyes and studied her carefully from head to toe.

Whether it was just his imagination or not, Roseline bore a striking resemblance to both Elina and Evalyn in certain ways.

Her facial features, for example, were very similar to Evalyn’s upon closer inspection.

However, the shape of her eyes and eyebrows resembled Elina’s more.

It should also be noted that Roseline was the wife of the Hero of Light—and the future ancestor of the Lionheart family.

In other words, she was Evalyn’s ancestor.

"Why are you just standing there? Don’t you intend to answer me?"

Roseline’s cold voice snapped Nolan out of his thoughts.

He shook his head. "Sorry, I was just... distracted by your beauty."

His words made Roseline and Evalyn freeze. The corner of Evalyn’s mouth twitched, and she almost felt the urge to pinch his waist.

"You have a sweet tongue. Thank you," Roseline replied.

The irritation on her face disappeared, replaced by a faint smile.

Nolan was incredibly handsome—in fact, the most handsome man she had ever seen. His compliment felt different from those she usually received from others.

Nolan chuckled softly and continued, "My name is Nolan Lorian. As I just said, I am a member of the imperial family."

Roseline was taken aback. She furrowed her brows and asked, "Nolan Lorian? A member of the imperial family? I’ve never heard of you. Are you a prince from my uncles’ line?"

"No." Nolan shook his head. "I am a direct descendant of Emperor Leon."

"Emperor Leon?" Roseline froze. That was her father’s name.

"Y-You must be joking. I am the first princess, Roseline Lorian. I am Emperor Leon’s direct daughter!" she declared firmly.

Nolan smiled faintly. "Yes, I believe you. But I didn’t say we were siblings, did I?"

Roseline fell silent, speechless. Before she could respond, Nolan continued.

"I’ve come from the future, Your Highness."

At the word "future," Roseline’s expression changed drastically.

"T-the future!?"

Nolan nodded. "Yes, from the future."

He then explained how he and Evalyn had ended up there. Of course, he left out many details about what would happen in the future.

It wasn’t necessary, and it would only raise more questions.

Roseline listened in silence. Only after Nolan finished did she slowly process what he had said.

"So... you’re a descendant of the Lorian family from the future, and the woman beside you is a descendant of Rei and me in the future?"

She looked at Evalyn, who stood quietly beside Nolan.

Nolan nodded. "That’s right. So you can be sure we have no ill intentions toward you or the Hero of Light."

Roseline fell silent. It was difficult for her to accept it so easily. The future, the present, and the past felt like threads stretching out and intertwining—connected, yet still separated by an impassable barrier.

But her long-held belief had been proven wrong. It turned out that someone from the future really could travel to the past.

Roseline took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil within her.

"I understand. To be honest, I still can’t fully believe it. Can you give me one more piece of proof?"

Nolan nodded. "Of course. Hold out your hand."

Roseline did as he asked. In an instant, Nolan grasped her palm.

Roseline startled and instinctively tried to pull away, but she immediately felt a strange, indescribable sensation spread through her body.

Her heart pounded, and her breathing grew slightly uneven. She looked at Nolan in confusion. "What’s happening to me?"

"Bloodline synchronization. Now, do you believe me?"

Nolan released her hand and gave a faint smile.

Roseline stared blankly at her palm for a moment.

"I..."
