Chapter 758: The Strongest Being vs Singularity of Chaos (3)
"T-those eyes..." Demon Emperor Zerathos gasped in shock.
He had never seen eyes like those before. Yet with a single glance, an overwhelming fear burned deep within him.
It felt as though a giant hand were crushing his entire body.
A faint smirk appeared on Nolan’s face before he slammed Demon Emperor Zerathos into the ground.
BOOM!
"Pfft!"
Blood burst from Demon Emperor Zerathos’s mouth. Even so, he refused to give up. Demonic power erupted from his body, forcing Nolan to step back instinctively.
Seizing the opportunity, Zerathos immediately slapped his hand against the ground. His body melted into black liquid before shooting backward and reappearing dozens of meters away.
He panted heavily as he wiped the blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.
"Damn it..." he growled.
This was the first time he had ever experienced something like this. But he couldn’t blame himself, because he had already gone all out.
Nolan was simply too strong—far beyond his expectations. Even the Hellscar Demonic Sword couldn’t leave a scratch on him.
"I have no other choice..." he muttered through gritted teeth.
Plunging his sword into the ground, he bit down on his thumb and shouted, "Forbidden Technique: Sacrifice to the Demon God!"
He smeared the blood from the bite wound across the palm of his left hand before forming a strange and mysterious hand seal.
Instantly, the atmosphere grew dark and oppressive. In the next moment, demonic power erupted from his body and shot into the sky.
BOOM!
Millions of lightning bolts raged across the heavens as a massive vortex of clouds swirled violently, expanding hundreds of kilometers wide.
"ARGHHH!"
Demon Emperor Zerathos let out a deafening scream as his demonic power surged wildly out of control.
Witnessing the scene, Nolan felt no fear at all. Instead, excitement burned in his eyes.
He knew Zerathos hadn’t revealed his full power yet.
That was why Nolan had deliberately provoked and overwhelmed him.
And now that the demon was finally getting serious, Nolan couldn’t afford to disappoint him.
Nolan slowly opened his palm, revealing a demonic mask resting on it.
Then he pressed the mask against his face, and his aura changed completely.
What had once felt ordinary suddenly turned cold and terrifying.
BOOM!
Zerathos’s demonic power burst out, covering his entire body.
In the blink of an eye, his appearance changed. Two massive wings spread from his back, and a pair of horns emerged from his forehead.
His pupils turned pitch-black, while crimson lines pulsed around his neck like living veins.
A sinister grin slowly formed on his face as he stared at Nolan.
"No one in this world has ever seen my true power before. You should feel honored, human!"
He bent his knees, clenched his fist, and threw a punch forward.
A giant black fist materialized in the air and shot toward Nolan at terrifying speed.
Its sheer force tore through the air, creating explosions like bombs detonating one after another.
Seeing this, Nolan didn’t flinch. He simply clenched his fist and struck the giant fist head-on.
BOOM!
A massive explosion erupted, sending Nolan flying dozens of meters before he finally regained his balance.
"How is this possible...?" Nolan cried out in disbelief.
The force behind his punch had been enough to send a catastrophe-level monster flying.
Yet moments ago, he had been overwhelmed by one of Zerathos’s casual attacks—it was completely absurd.
However, he had no time to dwell on it. Zerathos had already appeared above him, raising the Hellscar Demon Sword in his hand.
"Die!"
As the sword swung down, a swift slash shot toward him.
Nolan snapped his fingers, causing the space around him to freeze. His figure instantly merged with space itself and vanished.
BOOM!
The slash split the ground beneath in two, and the scar it left stretched for a hundred-kilometer radius.
"Keep running like an ant!" Zerathos roared angrily.
He raised his left hand and shouted, "Demonic Starfall!"
Buzz!
Thousands of magic circles appeared across the sky, and from them, countless black meteors rained down toward Nolan.
Nolan didn’t dare let his guard down. He clenched his fist, and a giant earthen hand rose from the ground beneath him, blocking the devastating attack and shielding him successfully.
"You let your guard down!"
Demon Emperor Zerathos grinned viciously as he suddenly appeared behind Nolan.
Nolan’s eyes widened in shock. He was about to teleport away, but mysterious black roots had already wrapped around his legs without him noticing.
"Danger!"
"Hahaha! Got you!"
Demon Emperor Zerathos swung his sword horizontally toward Nolan’s waist.
BOOM!
A mysterious barrier surrounding Nolan’s body instantly activated, blocking the attack.
However, the impact alone sent Nolan flying like a cannonball from a warship.
Demon Emperor Zerathos gave him no time to recover. His eyes blazed crimson as he shouted, "Soulbreaker Ray!"
SZZZT!
Two red beams shot from his eyes and pierced through the air toward Nolan.
Seeing this, Nolan quickly twisted his body and narrowly dodged the attack. But Zerathos continued chasing him relentlessly with the beams.
Finally, one of the rays grazed Nolan’s shoulder and began melting it on contact.
Nolan immediately raised his hand, causing a spatial barrier to appear in front of him.
While retreating, he glanced at his shoulder, which was slowly melting away.
"Hahaha! Give up! You can never defeat me!"
Demon Emperor Zerathos laughed loudly before raising his hand once more.
"Crimson Eclipse!"
A mysterious black moon suddenly appeared in the sky. It moved slowly until it covered the green sun, creating a strange eclipse that plunged the entire world into darkness.
As the eclipse formed, Nolan immediately sensed something strange happening to his body.
His power was gradually weakening, as though the surrounding air itself were draining it away.
"My power... is weakening!?"
"Hahaha! Surprised?" Zerathos’s triumphant voice echoed across the battlefield. "Give up. You have no chance of winning this battle. Everything within a two-hundred-kilometer radius is already under my control. The Crimson Eclipse has reduced your power by fifty percent. There’s no way you can defeat me!"
Nolan slowly lifted his head and glared at Zerathos with a grim expression.
"How can you be this strong?" he asked hoarsely.
"Hahaha! Because I was born to rule. It’s that simple. Well then..."
Zerathos stopped right in front of him and raised the sword in his hand, aiming it at Nolan’s chest.
"You are indeed strong, and I admit that—especially your control over the power of space. But in the end, that is all. You dared to offend me, and there is only one punishment for that: death."
After saying those words, he drove his sword straight into Nolan’s chest.
Nolan’s eyes instantly lost their light, and his body slowly collapsed backward.
The powerful figure capable of standing against Demon Emperor Zerathos had finally fallen.
"What a pity..." Zerathos muttered softly.
He was furious and hated Nolan for pushing him into a corner, even forcing him to use a forbidden technique.
Yet at the same time, he couldn’t help but admire him. Nolan was the only person who had ever managed to force him that far.
Just as Demon Emperor Zerathos turned around to leave, the sky suddenly grew darker.
Then, a calm yet thunderous voice echoed across the heavens.
"Do you really think you’ve won?"
